物語が始まる....
このタイトルを知らないまま、Chizukaさんはこの絵を
会場で、一番初めの位置にしました。
以心伝心？ 彼女がレイアウトした時はどのタイトルも知りませんでした。

even though she didn't know any of the titles.

多摩美の学友、Tさんが数年のベニス滞在から帰国し、個展へ来てくれました。
彼女いわく、ベニスで見た夜空はこんな感じだったそうです。

She had recently returned to Japan after living in Venice for a few years.

said that the night sky in Venice was like this.

宇宙(青)シリーズ
波のまにまに
私がイラストレイターであった時に
お仕事をさせていただいた三省堂のTさんが
個展にいらしてくださいました。
Tさんは私が英国留学を決めた時(2013年)に
英和・和英辞書をくださいました。
その辞書は小型でしたが、とても便利で、
私は英国でボロボロになるまで使いました。
Tさんには非常に感謝の気持ちを持っています。
そしてこの作品まで購入してくださいました。
ありがとうございました。

At
the Mercy of the Waves
When
I was an illustrator I worked for Sanseidō, which is
a Japanese publishing company known for publishing
dictionaries and textbooks.
T san
of Sanseidō visited my Exhibition.
In 2003, when I decided to go to Britain for studying, he gave me his company's English dictionary :
English-Japanese and Japanese-English.
Though the dictionary is small, it is very useful
and
I used it in Britain until it became completely worn out.
I
am very grateful to T san.
And also he
bought this work.

Chizukaさんが、「結構好きだわ！」と言ってくださったので、
個展作品に選びました。 私はこの作品は幸運を呼び寄せてくれるように感じています。 なので、現在は我が家の玄関に飾っています。

Chizuka said, "I quite like it!" and I selected this for my
exhibition.
I feel that this work brings me good luck. So now I am decorating the entrance hall in my house with this. |
