1) 焼成 / Firing

本焼開始
青色ガラス釉薬のための焼成です。
<自作設定：B - 3>
温度低めの1230度で、ねらしを通常より長めの30分にしています。

個展会場で、日本の私の陶芸教室のS先生から
窯を長く保持するには、
「低めに温度設定し、ねらし時間を伸ばす」
と教えてもらいました。
ありがとうございました。
英国の大学でも焼成は温度と熱量で決まると教わりました。

Start Glaze Firing

Firing for blue glass glaze.

<Self-made setting : B - 3>

At 1230 degrees, which is lower in temperature,

 the soak is 30 minutes, which is longer than usual.

At my exhibition venue, 

my Japanese pottery lesson-class teacher, S Sensei, told me 

that in order to keep the kiln for longer,

 "Set the temperature lower and extend the soak time".

Thank you!

I was also taught in my university in Britain that 

firing is determined by temperature and calorific value.

2) パトロール機 / Patrol Helicopter

海上自衛隊・SH-60K
SH-60Kは、哨戒 (ショウカイ) ヘリコプター : 
パトロール機です。
私の印象としては、自宅から最も頻繁に見る
ヘリコプター (の型) です。
(号機の番号はわかりません）

Maritime Self-Defense Force SH-60K

The SH-60K :  Mitsubishi H-60 is a patrol helicopter.

My impression is that it is the type of helicopter

 I see most often from home.

(I don't know the serial number.)

私の住んでいる場所は買い物には辺鄙な場所です。

また、たくさんの食材を頻繁に持ち運べる肉体も持っていません。

なので、食材は主に宅配のcoopを利用しています。

そのほかに、月に1度、野菜のネットショップ、ゴールデン・グリーンの野菜も利用しています。

The place where I live is a remote place for shopping.

Also, I don't have a body that can carry a lot of ingredients frequently.

Therefore, I mainly use home delivery coop for ingredients.

In addition, once a month, I also use the vegetable online shop, Golden Green Vegetables.

標高1,000mからの野菜
畑は、北八ヶ岳エリアの標高1,000mにあります。
野菜には農薬を散布せず、肥料は有機肥料を使用しています。

in the Northern Yatsugatake area.
Their vegetables are without pesticides and
only using organic fertilizers.

夫Rは、ニンニク・玉ねぎ・ネギ類が食べられないので
それらの代わりに違う野菜が入っています。
今回はビーツ、私もRも大好きな野菜です。
通常ビーツはアルミホイルに包んでローストして食べています。

Handwritten Message

It also comes with a handwritten message.

It warms my heart.

My husband R cannot eat garlic, onions, leeks and so on, 

so their box had different vegetables instead.

This time beets, a beet is our favourite vegetable.

Usually, beets are wrapped in aluminum foil 

and roasted before eating.

野菜から元気をゴールデングリーンのご夫婦から心の栄養を貰います。

Get energy from their vegetables and get nourishment  for hearts from the Golden Green couple.

ケールの形と色が面白いので飾ってみました。

4) 試運転 / Test Run

試運転

新しい窯をNo.1窯、古い窯をNo.2窯としています。

No.2窯は、No.1窯同様に長らく使用していなかったので、

本日試運転を開始しました。

(11月1日)

 Test Run

The new kiln is the No. 1 kiln, and the old kiln is the No. 2 kiln.

 Like the No. 1 kiln, the No. 2 kiln has not been used 

for a long time, so I started a test run today.

(1st of November)

試運転の温度は400度 (A -1 設定) です。

The test run temperature is 400 degrees (A - 1 setting).

スタジオは通常の家にあります。

電力も電圧も通常の状態で窯を使用しています。

2台同時使用は可能かもしれませんが、現在はしていません。

My studio is in a normal house.

The kilns are used under normal conditions for both power and voltage.

It may be possible to use two at the same time, but I am not currently doing so.

10月から、大町にあるリトグラフ工房へ一週間に一度通っています。

Since October, I go to the lithograph workshop in Omachi once a week.

苔丸
最寄りのバス停前の苔丸さん。
いつもは帰宅時に撮影しますが、今日は行くときに撮影しました。

Kokemaru

 Kokemaru is in front of our nearest bus stop.

I usually photograph when I get home, 

but today I photographed when I went out.

カラフルな花が見えたので撮影しましたが影であること、
距離があるのにi-phoneでの撮影であることで、
ボケてしまっています。
こんなときにニコンのカメラを持ってくれば
よかったと後悔します。
ですが、最近はニコンのカメラが重く感じて何か
特別な撮影がわかっているときでなければ持って出ません。

I photographed this because I could see colorful flowers, 

but it was out of focus because it was in shadow and

 taken by my i-phone at a distance.

I regretted that I should have brought my Nikon camera,

 as it feels heavy, unless I know

 I have something special to photograph.

2) 大町 / Ōmachi

A. 子守り観音像 

    Kannon Statue of Guardian for Children

子守り観音像

大町踏切のそばに、'子守り観音像' があることを
初めて気がつきました。
観音像でありながら子供の囲まれているのは珍しく感じました。
1961年にあった幼稚園児を乗せたのバス事故で
亡くなった女性、金子サトさんの記念碑 (慰霊碑 /1964年)

 のようです。

彼女は亡くなりましたが園児は無事でした。
人々はこの女性が犠牲になって園児を守ったと考えました。

 Kannon Statue of Guardian for Children
I noticed for the first time that there is 
a 'Kannon Statue of Guardian for Children' 
near the Ōmachi railroad crossing

Although it is a Kannon statue, for me, it is unusual 

 to be surrounded by children.

It seems to be a memorial (1964) to a woman, Sato Kaneko, 

who died by a bus accident in 1961.

The bus carried nursery children.

The children were safe, although she died.

People thought the woman was sacrificed to protect the children.

この碑に像の由来が書かれているようです。
私にはよく読めなかったので、内容はネットで調べました。
この女性は生前、良い方であったので周囲の方(方々)が
彼女を惜しんで像を造られたのではないかと想像します。

It seems that the origin of the statue is written

 on this monument.

I couldn't read it easily, so I looked it up on the Internet.

I imagine that this woman was a good person in her lifetime, 

so people (a person) around her might have lamented her 

and made the statue.

B. 安養院 / An’yō-in Temple

安養院

リトグラフ工房へ行く時は必ず安養院 (アンヨウイン) 

の前を通ります。

[正式名は祇園山安養院長楽寺]

ツツジの季節はとても見事です。

今年はその景色を見ていません。

まだ一度も門をくぐったことがありません。

いつかは...と思って、10年以上経ってしまいました。

An’yō-in Temple

Whenever I go to the lithograph studio, 

I must pass in front of An’yō-in Temple.

[Formal name is Gionzan Anyō-in Chōraku-ji Temple]

The azalea season is very beautiful.

I haven't seen the scenery this year.

I have never passed through the gate.

C. 秋の風景 / Autumn Scene

紅葉が進んでいます。
Autumn leaves are advancing.

紅葉ではありませんが、秋を感じる風景です。
It's not autumn leaves, but it's a view that feels autumn.

リトグラフ工房での制作を終えて、帰路につきました。

この日のリトグラフ工房については下記。

今日は、以前から行ってみたいと思っていた '花咲地蔵' に寄りました。

通常私が使用している道から、花咲橋を渡って南に伸びる谷戸、

花ヶ谷へ入ります。

'花咲地蔵' は、"花ヶ谷花咲地蔵尊" とも呼ばれます。

花咲橋
花咲橋は逆川に掛かっています。
この先に、 '花咲地蔵' があります。

Hanasaki Bridge

Hanasaki Bridge is over the Sakase River.

Beyond this is 'Hanasaki Jizō'.

"Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizo-son"

After finishing my work in the lithograph studio, I left for home.

About the lithograph studio on this day, below.

① 2021年10月29日 個展準備 - リトグラフ工房 / Preparation for My

Today, I stopped by 'Hanasaki Jizō', which I've always wanted to visit.

Jizō (Kṣitigarbha) is a bodhisattva primarily revered in Buddhism and usually depicted as a Buddhist monk.

From the road I usually use, cross Hanasaki Bridge and enter Hanagaya Valley, which extends south.

"Hanasaki Jizō" is also called "Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizō-son".

"花ヶ谷花咲地蔵"のための敷地が設けられ、
屋根までついています。
扁額 (ヘンガク) まであります。
小さな神社のようではありませんか。

 "Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizō-son"

The site for "Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizō" is set up and

 even has a roof.

There is even a Hengaku which is a horizontal sign board or 

a temple's name tablet displayed on the gate.

Isn't it like a small shrine?

扁額 / Hengaku

"花ヶ谷花咲地蔵"は、今は廃絶してしまった慈恩寺に

祀られたと言われています。

この地蔵像は江戸 (1603 - 1868) 後期の製作です。

慈恩寺は、鎌倉時代 (1185 - 1333) 後期には創建され、

足利直冬 (アシカガ タダフユ / 1327 - 1387 又は1400) 

の菩提寺と考えられています。

It is said that "Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizō" was enshrined

in Jionji Temple, which is now demolished.

This Jizo statue was made in the late Edo Period (1603 - 1868).

Apparently Jionji Temple was built 

in the latter half of the Kamakura Period (1185 - 1333)

and is considered to be the family temple of

Ashikaga Tadafuyu (1327-1387 or 1400).

B.花咲地蔵尊縁起 / Hanasaki Jizō History

'花咲地蔵尊縁起' 碑
敷地内には、'花咲地蔵尊縁起'碑があります。
ですが私には読めません。
帰宅後ネット検索し、下のように書かれていることが
わかりました。
"嘉禄元年(1225年)足利直冬ガ祖先ノ菩提ヲ弔フタメニ
此ノ谷ニ慈恩寺ヲ建立シ
境内ニ四季花ノ絶エナイヨウニ植エタノデ花谷ト呼ブ
此ノ地蔵尊ハソノ境内ニ祀ラレタモノト伝エラル
昔ヨリ多クノ里人ガ親シク信仰セラレマシタ"

Hanasaki Jizō History Monument

There is a 'Hanasaki Jizō History Monument on the premises.

But I can't read it.

After returning home, I searched the Internet and found the writing.

According to the writing, (translated by me)

"In 1225, Ashikaga Tadafuyu founded Jionji Temple 

as a family temple in the valley.

The temple had flowers all season, so people called 

Hanagaya Valley : Flower Valley.

It was handed down to posterity, 

this Jizō was enshrined in the precincts.

Villager had faith Jizō very much from way back."

碑には、1225年に足利直冬 (アシカガ タダフユ / 1327 - 1387 又は1400) が慈恩寺を菩提寺として創建したことが記されていますが、

足利直冬はまだ生まれていません。

碑の内容がどこまで信頼できるかわかりませんが、今となっては伝説のようになっているのだと思われます。

慈恩寺は鎌倉時代後期には創建され、室町時代 (1336 - 1573) 後期には衰え、戦国時代には廃絶していたものと考えられています: ★。

1225年は、鎌倉幕府第3代執権・北条 泰時 (ホウジョウ ヤストキ / 1183 - 1242 / 在職：1224 - 1242) の時代です。

Hanasaki Jizō History Monument

The monument states that Ashikaga Tadafuyu (1327 - 1387 or 1400) founded Jionji Temple as his family temple in 1225, however, Ashikaga Tadafu was not born yet.

I don't know how reliable the contents of the monument are, but it seems to be a legend now.

It is believed that the Jionji Temple was built in the late Kamakura period, declined in the late Muromachi Period (1336 - 1573) , and was demolished during the Warring States period : ★ (only in Japanese).

1225 is the era of Yasutoki Hōjō, the third shikken (regent) of the  Kamakura shogunate  (1183 -1242 / rule : 1224 - 1242).

C. 足利直冬 / Ashikaga Tadafuyu 

足利直冬は、室町幕府 (1338 - 1588) ・初代将軍、

足利尊氏 (アシカガ タカウジ : 1305 - 1358 / 在職 : 1338 -1358) の

庶子です。

直冬は尊氏に息子として認められず、尊氏の弟

足利直義 (アシカガ タダヨシ/ 1307 - 1352) の養子になります。

直冬はなかなか優秀な人物で、尊氏のために戦功をあげますが信用されず、父に直接会うこともなりませんでした。

私の印象としては、尊氏にとって直冬は若気の至りでできてしまった子供で、自分の落ち度を認めたくないので、直冬の存在を認めたくなかったのです。

直冬の父を慕う気持ちは憎しみに変わり、尊氏にとって直冬は目障りで、息子に対しての苛立たしさが増していったように思います。

気の毒な親子関係です。

生涯に渡りその親子関係は修復されなかったばかりか、尊氏・直義の兄弟の勢力争い [観応の擾乱 (カンノウノジョウラン /1350 - 1352) ] 

の中で、相手の殺害を目標とすることになります。

戦いは尊氏の勝利で終わり、1366年以降、直冬は消息不明になりました。

直冬は石見国 (イワミノクニ / 現在の山陰地方; 島根県) で亡くなったらしいです。

島根県の南陽山慈恩寺に足利直冬像が安置されています。

"花ヶ谷花咲地蔵"は、直冬を祀っているように私には感じられます。

Ashikaga Tadafuyu

Ashikaga Tadafuyu (1327-1387 or 1400) was an illegitimate son of the first shogun of 

Muromachi Shogunate (Ashikaga Shogunate : 1338 - 1588), Ashikaga Takauji ( 1305 - 1358 / rule : 1338 -1358).

Tadafuyu was not recognized as a son by Takauji, and was adopted by Takauji's younger brother, Ashikaga Tadayoshi (1307 - 1352).

Tadafuyu was a very talented person, and although he was successful for Takauji, he was not trusted and did not meet his father, Takauji.

My impression is that for Takauji, Tadafuyu was Takauji's failure from his stupid youth, and he didn't want to admit his error, so he didn't want to admit the existence of his son, Tadafuyu.

I think the son's feeling of longing for his father turned into hatred, and for the father,  the son was eyesore which 'spoiled the view'.

It's a pitiful parent-child relationship.

Not only would the parent-child relationship not be restored for the rest of their lives, but they would also aim to kill each other in the struggle between the brothers, Takauji and Tadayoshi :

Kanno Disturbance (1350 – 1352).

The battle ended with Takauji's victory, and after 1366, Tadafuyu had become unknown.

It seems that he died in Iwami Province (it is today the western part of Shimane Prefecture).

A statue of Ashikaga Tadafuyu is enshrined at Nanyo-zan Jionji Temple in Shimane Prefecture.

For me, "Hanagaya Hanasaki Jizō" seems to enshrine Tadafuyu.

近所の方々がきちんとお世話をしていらっしゃいます。

このお地蔵様は大切にされているようで安心しました。

The neighbours are taking good care of this.

I was relieved that this Jizō is cherished.

D. ACT 鎌倉/ ACT Kamakura 

花咲橋を渡った角地に新しい建物が立っています。

そこは、'花ヶ谷'の入り口です。

A new building stands on the corner across the Hanasaki Bridge.

This is the entrance to 'Hanagaya Valley'.

新しい建物
2年半ぶりにリトグラフ工房へ通い始めました。
ほぼ環境は変わっていませんでしたが、
この建物は新しく違う持ち主になっていました。
おしゃれな建物で、そこここにセンスの良さを感じます。
一見、一般住宅のようですが、'暖簾' がかかっているので
お店または会社かと推測していました。

New building

I started going to the lithograph studio for the first time

 in two and a half years.

The environment hasn't changed much,

this building had a new and different owner.

It is a fashionable building, and I can feel

 the good taste here and there.

At first glance, it looks like a general house, 

but because it has a 'noren'

 I guessed it was a shop or a company.

金井・ACT 鎌倉 : ★

今日は玄関前を通ったので表札の確認ができました。

'ACT 鎌倉' は、レースヨット・船舶の設計会社でした。

山のイメージの大町にその会社(事務所)があるのが

少し不思議な気がします。

ですが、大町は海から遠いわけではないので、

塩害が海岸部よりも少なくともない分、

住宅には適しているのかもしれません。

Kanai・ACT Kamakura : ★

I passed in front of the entrance today,

 so I was able to make sure of the nameplate.

'ACT Kamakura' is a company that does design for

 racing yachts and commercial ships.

It seems a little strange that the company (office) is located in Ōmachi, which has the image of a mountain.

However, Ōmachi isn't far from the sea, and it may be more suitable for housing as it is at least less salt-damaged than

 it would be by the coast.

4) サギ / Heron 

下川橋 
下川橋は滑川 (ナメリガワ) に架かっています。
橋の手前が大町、向こうが小町です。
10月4日にここを通った時は橋からサギを見ませんでしたが
今日は見ることができました。

Shimokawa Bridge
Shimokawa Bridge spans Nameri River.
Omachi is this side and Komachi is over there.
I didn't see a heron from the bridge
when I passed here on 4th of October,
though I could see a heron today.

今日、苔丸さんを撮影した時、ニコンのカメラを持っていなかったことを後悔しました。

ここでも同じ後悔をしました。

通常の撮影はi-phoneで十分ですが距離があるとi-phoneでの撮影はぼやけてしまいます。

I regret not having my Nikon camera when I photographed Kokemaru today.

I had the same regret here.

The i-phone is sufficient for normal photographing, but photographing with the i-phone is blurred if there is a distance.

5) オレンジの世界 / Orange World

鎌倉山に帰ってきました。

I was back in Kamakurayama.

バスを降りると通りの先の空が
オレンジに染まっていました。

When I got off the bus,
the sky at the end of the street was dyed orange.

　前に歩きつつ、オレンジの空を振り返りました。
As I walked forward, I looked back at the orange sky.

玄関
帰宅するとハローウィンのポスターが迎えてくれました。
10月の初めに夫Rがハレパネに私の初めての個展のポスターを
貼って玄関に飾ってくれました。
ありがとう！
今日、初めて撮影しました。
オレンジの空の後にオレンジのポスターを見て
リンクを感じました。
こういうリンクが好きです。

Entrance 

When I got home, my Halloween poster welcomed me.

At the beginning of October, my husband R put up a poster 

for my first exhibition and displayed it at the entrance.

Thank you!

Today I photographed this for the first time.

I saw the orange poster after the orange sky and felt the link.

I like this link.
