1) 4月24日 / 24th of April 
昨日、私と夫Rは、姉Yと上野で待ち合わせをし、

その後、谷中散策し、Yと一緒に鎌倉へ帰ってきました。
展覧会、散策については下記。

自作を使って
自作の黒の食器とカトラリー置きを自宅で使用しています。
いちごの赤が黒をバックに映えます。
お花は、Rが大好きなスイカズラ。

Using My Works
I use my works of black plates and a chop stand at home.
The red of the strawberries appeared more attractive 
on the black background.
The flower is a (Japanese) honeysuckle, which R loves.
24th of April 
Yesterday, I, my husband R and my sister Y met in Ueno, Tokyo and saw the '60th Memorial Japanese Contemporary Art Exhibition'.

After that, we took a walk in Yanaka and came back to Kamakura 
with Y.

2) 4月25日 / 25th of April
A. 自宅 / At Home
ひさしぶりのグラタン
昨晩、他の料理がたくさんで、予定していたグラタンを
作りませんでした。
今日のランチとして作りました。

Gratin for the First Time in a Long Time
Last night I didn't make the gratin that I had planned,
 because there were so many other dishes.
I made this for lunch today.

最盛期のモッコウバラ
モッコウバラ (木香茨、木香薔薇) がようやく
イメージ通りに咲いています。

Lady Banks' Rose at Its Peak
Lady Banks' Rose is finally blooming as I had imagined.



B. ブック ・カフェ / Book  Cafe
ブックカフェ・ 惣common
Yが鎌倉山を離れる前に、近所の
"ブックカフェ・ 惣common"へ行きました。

Before Y left Kamakurayama, we visited
 the nearby, "Book Cafe・So common".

Bamboo Shoots that Have Grown

大きな桜の木
竹林の中に大きな桜の木があります。
桜の木を生かすために竹藪を少し切ったようです。

Big Cherry Tree
There is a big cherry tree in the bamboo grove.
It seems that the bamboo was cut back
a little to keep the cherry tree alive.


チョコドリンクとほうじ茶ラテ
現在、Rはスペシャルチョコドリンク、
私はほうじ茶ラテがお気に入りです。
Yは、私が勧めたほうじ茶ラテを飲みました。
彼女は、「ほうじ茶ラテ、美味しい!」
と言っていました。
みんな幸せ！
ブックカフェさん、ありがとう！

Chocolate Drink and Hōjicha Latte
Currently, R's favourite is a special chocolate drink, 
and my favourite is Hōjicha latte.
Y had  a cup of the Hōjicha latte I recommended. 
She said "Hōjicha is delicious!"
Everyone is happy!

C. 苔丸 / Kokemaru
バス停前の苔丸
バスには少し時間があるので、Rは苔丸を物色中、
結局なにも書いませんでした。
私は、苔丸は、見るだけでも心が潤います。
彼はどうなのかな？

Kokemaru in Front of the Bus Stop
There was a little bit of time at the bus stop, 
so R was looking at Kokemaru,
after all he didn't buy anything.
I feel that Kokemaru is soothing just by looking at it.
How about for him?

私は個展準備、彼女はあれやこれやの習い事、そしてコロナが私達を会いずらい状態にしていました。

久しぶりにYと過ごしました。

これからもこんな時間がふえるといいな〜と願っています。


I had been preparing for my exhibition,  Y had had lessons for this and that, and Corona made it hard to meet.

We haven't spent a time with Y for a long time.

I hope our meeting will continue to increase.

2022年4月24日 友人の店へ / For My Friend's Shop, 24th of April 2022


友人の店へ / For My Friend's Shop
友人IRさんは、毎回私の個展に足を運んでくださいます。

今年の個展：'Coonie's SKY 2022' で、彼女から軽井沢に雑貨店をオープンする話を聞きました。
'Coonie's SKY 2022' については下記。

新しい試みをすることは素晴らしいです。

私の小さな食器の作品を彼女のお店に出したい意向も聞きました。

彼女の新しい試みに何か私ができたら嬉しいと思いました。

ですが、私は個展に合わせてのみ食器を制作し、個人やお店のために制作していません。(姉Yのためには、いくつか制作しました）

そしてまた、ありがたいことに食器の作品は、個展では、ほぼ完売に近いので、もしも残ったら連絡させていただくと会場で話しました。

今年の個展は、ギャラリーからの勧めがあり、価格を少しあげました。

そのためか、私の作品傾向のためか、数が多かったためか、いくつかの食器が残りました。

彼女に送る作品を彼女に選んでもらいました (下の画像)。

彼女のお店のために私の作品が貢献できたらいいな〜と思います。

For My Friend's Shop
My friend IR visits my exhibition every time.

At my exhibition this year : 'Coonie's SKY 2022', I heard from her that she would  open a corner shop in Karuizawa.
About  'Coonie's SKY 2022', below.
It's great to try new things.

I also heard that she would have my little tableware works in her shop.

I wished I could do something for her new attempt.

However, I have made tableware only for my exhibition, not for individuals or shops. (I made some for my sister Y)

Also, thankfully, the tableware works mostly sell out in the exhibitions, so I told her in the venue that I would contact her if there were any left.

The gallery recommended me that the price was raised a little this year.

For that reason, or my tendency to work, or the large number of tableware, some
tableware remained.

I asked her to choose the works to send to her, above.

I wish my works could contribute to her shop.

④ 2022年4月23日 東京 - 谷中散策 : ソフトクリームと谷中墓地 / Tokyo - Walk in Yanaka - Soft Serve and Yanaka Cemetery, 23rd of April 2022

1) マルグリート洋菓子店 
    Marguerite Confectioner
姉Y、夫Rと私は、谷中ビアホールで喉の渇きを癒し、満足して
日暮里駅に向かいました。
谷中ビアホールについては下記。

谷中墓地は通ることになるだろうと予測していましたが、その前に
ソフトクリームを売っているお菓子屋さんを見つけました。

私は、とてもソフトクリームが食べたくなり、他の二人を誘いました。

Marguerite Confectioner
My sister Y, my husband R and I quench our thirst in Yanaka Beer Hall and head to Nippori Station with satisfaction.
About the Beer Hall, below.

I planned to go to Yanaka Cemetery, but before that I found a confectioner selling soft serve : soft ice cream.

I really wanted to eat soft serve and asked the other two.
マルグリート洋菓子店
東京都台東区谷中6-2-38
お菓子屋さんなのにそっけない店構えが、
'地元のお菓子屋さん'を感じさせます。
ここは創業50年後、改築のため閉店しました。
が今年2月にリニューアルしたようです。

 Marguerite Confectioner
6-2-38 Yanaka, Taito-ku, Tokyo
Even though it is a confectioner, the shop is brusque, 
which made me feel like a 'local sweet shop'.
Fifty years after its founding, the shop was closed due to renovation.
However, it seems that it was renewed in February this year.

店内 / Inside
'昔ながらのケーキ屋さん'の期待を裏切らないケーキ類です。
シフォンケーキに力を入れているようでした。

Cakes that do not disappoint the expectations of
'old-fashioned cake shops'.
It seemed that they seem to emphasize chiffon cake.


焼き菓子の棚
力を入れていないのか、売れているのかの判断が
つかない商品棚です。
それでも、なんとなく好感を持ってしまいます。

Baked Confectionery Shelves
I can not judge whether they do not pay attention
to the shop selves or that they sell well.
Still, somehow I feel very well from the shelves.


2個！
私は最初にチョコとバニラのミックスを食べました。
2個目はシンプルにバニラだけです。
生まれて初めてソフトクリームを2個続けて食べました。
他の二人にも味見はさせてあげましたよ(笑)。

Two!
I first ate a mix of chocolate and vanilla.
The second one is simply vanilla.
For the first time in my life, I ate two soft serves in a row.
I also let the other two taste them (Laugh).

少人数ですが、飲み物とケーキをいただける席があります。

They have seats for a few people for drinks and cakes.
1つはY、2つはRが食べました。
みんなでそれぞれ味見はしました。
普通に美味しいケーキです。

One was for Y and two were for R.
Everyone tasted each.
It's an ordinary delicious cake.

地元の人に愛されるケーキ屋さんであることを感じました。

こういうお店、好きです。


I felt that it was a cake shop loved by the locals.

I like this kind of shop.




2) 谷中墓地 / Yanaka Cemetery
日暮里駅への最短コースは、谷中墓地を抜けてゆく道です。

通常の墓地なら憚られることですが、谷中墓地は多少、公園の雰囲気を含んでいるので、私は、罪悪感を抱きません。

谷中墓地の正式名は、谷中霊園 (ヤナカレイエン) です。

有名人のお墓がたくさんあり、桜の季節にはお花見も盛んです。

墓地なのに、観光スポットになっているのが珍しいと感じます。
谷中墓地の一角
現在は、都立霊園で、公園型霊園を目指しています。
ですが江戸時代からの墓地なので、
システム的に近代化がまり進まず、慣習を踏襲しているようです。

A Corner of Yanaka Cemetery
Currently, the Tokyo Metropolitan government is aiming
for a park-type cemetery.
However, since it is a cemetery from the Edo period,
 it seems that modernization has not progressed systematically
and it follows the custom.

モノクロ写真は古い印象を作ると思います。

I think black-and-white photography gives
 an old impression.
Yanaka Cemetery
The shortest route to Nippori Station is the road through Yanaka Bochi : Yanaka Cemetery.

Although I feel hesitant using a normal cemetery, I don't feel guilty because the Yanaka Cemetery has a park-like atmosphere.

Yanaka Bochi's official name is Yanaka Reien : Yanaka Cemetery.

There are many celebrity graves, and cherry blossom viewing : O-hanami, is popular during the cherry blossom season.

Even though it is a graveyard, I feel that it is rare that it is a tourist spot.

徳川慶喜の墓
江戸幕府、最後の将軍、第15代征夷大将軍・
徳川慶喜 (トクガワ ヨシノブ /1837 - 1913 / 在職：1867 -1868) の墓です。

Grave of Yoshinobu Tokugawa
It is the grave of the last Edo shogun, the 15th Shogun,
Tokugawa Yoshinobu (1837 -1913 / In Office : 1867 -1868).

日暮里駅向かう途中の道沿いで、目に止まったお墓を撮影しました。

どういった人々のお墓であると知って撮影したわけではありません。


Along the way to Nippori station, I photographed graves that caught my eye.

I didn't know what kind of people's grave they were and photographed them.





























墓石の形、サイズ、垣根の手法などなど、珍しいものが多く、観光地的要素があることを感じました。

私達が歩いた道は、一直線の広い道でした。

私は谷中墓地を歩いたことはありましたが、この道は初めてであったように思います。


There are many unusual things such as the shape and size of a grave stone, and fence method, and I felt that there was a tourist attraction element.

The road we walked along was a straight, wide road.

I have walked in the Yanaka Cemetery before, but I think this was my first time on this road.






3) 天王寺 / Tennō-ji Temple
谷中墓地を抜けると天王寺 (テンノウジ)があります。

天王寺は日蓮宗のお寺です。

この時まで、私はこのお寺の存在を知りませんでした。

Tennō-ji Temple
After passing through Yanaka Cemetery, I found Tennō-ji Temple.

Tennō-ji Temple is a temple of the Nichiren sect.

Until this time, I didn't know the existence of this temple.


釈迦如来坐像
背景に聳え立つ建物は、
ステーションガーデンタワーです。
ちょっと不思議な景色に感じます。

Shaka Nyorai Sitting Statue
The building that rises in the background is
 the Station Garden Tower.
I feel the view is a little strange.


日暮里駅が見えて来ました。
The Nippori station comes in sight.

私は、東京都美術館: ★で行われている日本現代工芸美術展を見に東京へ出て来ました。
展覧会については下記。

展覧会後に、計画していなかった谷中界隈 (地区) を歩くことになり、思っていたよりもずっと有意義な面白い日になりました。

谷中は魅力的なエリアだと思います。

思い出の朝倉彫塑館 (アサクラチョウソカン)をまた訪ね、その時に谷中散策を再びしたいと思います。


I came to Tokyo to see 'The Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Exhibition' in the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum : ★.
About the Exhibition, below.

After the exhibition, we walked around Yanaka, which we hadn't planned, and it was a much more meaningful and interesting day than I had expected.

I think Yanaka is an attractive area.

I would like to visit the Asakura Museum of Sculpture again, and at that time I would like to take a walk in Yanaka again.
