Noge
鎌倉の友人、H＆TJカップルに、"両極の書展"の後に、"野毛"(ノゲ)に連れて行ってもらいました。
"両極の書展"については下記。
最近、"野毛"は、昭和の雰囲気が残る町として、若年層に人気なのだそうです。
Wikiでは、
この時代に同地区は日本人街の中心として機能し、日本が物資不足にあえぐ中で
「野毛に来ればなんでも揃う」
と言われるほどのにぎわいで、復員の兵士やかつての工員などが職と食を求めて集まりごった返していたという。
当時は闇市と屋台が並ぶ地域で、まだ埋立て途中の桜川に沿って貴重な動物性たんぱく質源だったクジラカツを販売する「くじら横丁」などは終戦当時を象徴する場所として語られることが少なくない。"

Noge
My
friends, H＆TJ couple
of Kamakura took me to "Noge" after the Ryokyoku-no-Sho
Exhibition.
About
Ryokyoku-no-Sho Exhibition, below.
"Noge"
is officially "Noge Town" and the location is
in Naka-ku, Yokohama
City, Kanagawa
Prefecture.
Recently,
"Noge" seems to be popular with young people as a town with
a Showa (1926 -1989) atmosphere.

in Japanese says that
"At the
end of the Edo period, the Yokohama Road (Yokohama Michi) connecting
Tōkaidō road
and Port
of Yokohama
was developed, the cut was made through the
middle of Nogeyama hill and the area became a key point of
transportation.
In
the Meiji
Era, with steam
locomotives running on the railway going to
the newly built Sakuragicho Station and Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries Yokohama Shipyard, the area has prospered as a
Downtown.
During
that time, the district functioned as the centre of the Japanese
town, and while Japan had a shortage of supplies and a hard time,
people said that
"If
you come to Noge, everything will be there",
Demobilized
soldiers and former workman came here for looking for jobs, so there
was crowded.
At
that time, in areas where black markets and food stalls lined up,
there was "Kujira Yokocho (Whale side street)"
on reclaimed land by Sakuragawa River, which sold whale
cutlets, an important source of animal protein, "Kujira
Yokocho" is often mentioned as a symbol of the end of the
war."

2) はしご / Pub‐crawling
TJの
「何軒か店をはしごし、最後に夕飯を食べよう！」
という提案に乗って、3人で野毛界隈をフラフラしました。
聞いた通りに、道もお店も若い人々で賑わっていました。
町からエネルギーが沸き上がってくるのを感じました。
鎌倉も観光客で賑わっていますが、ここで感じるエネルギーを私は感じません。
いつもなら撮影をしますが、野毛をのんびりと散策したかったので、撮影は、その雰囲気を壊しそうで、しませんでした。
ただ、野毛に来た記念にと、最後のお店を出た時にだけ撮影しました。
私達の1軒目は、日本酒が何種類も置いてある居酒屋さん："三年や" 。
まだ1軒目だったので、私達はビールを飲みましたが、ドライバー役のHさんはノンアルコールの飲み物です。ありがとうございます。
何年かぶりでいただく、アジフライ、濃いめの味の出し巻き卵、ほんと、昭和って感じでした。
みな、美味しくいただきました。
2軒目は、柳通りの雑居ビル2階にある小さな居酒屋、"万馬券" (バーに近いかしら？) 。
このビルは、あやしげな雰囲気で、近くに野外馬券場があるようでした。
後になって、野外馬券場は、"ウィンズ横浜"という名前であるのを知りました。
私は、この "ウィンズ" は翼のWingsと勘違いし、なんてファンタジーな名前だと感動しましたが、実は、'勝つ意味のWins' と知って、なるほど〜と....失笑しました。
私達は競馬場に行ったことも馬券も買ったこともないのですが、、TJの嗅覚(勘?)で、ふらっと入ったお店でした。
私は、Youtubeで、レースや馬の様子の動画を見るのは結構好きです。
ママさんの複数回、当てた万馬券経験や、競馬歴、娘さんが名付けてくれた店の名前が、 "万馬券" であったことか、お店を持つに至った話など、とても面白かったです。
地元競馬ファンの中では有名なお店のようでした。
彼女は馬が大好きで、店の中はもちろんたくさんありましたが、自宅にも馬のグッズがいっぱいあるのだそうです。
「競馬を長く続けるためには、人生をかけてはいけない」という彼女の考えもなるほど〜と、聞きました。
おつまみも次々出していただいて、夕飯前にかなりお腹が膨れました。
世の中には、面白い人がいて、面白い人生があるものね〜と思いつつ、店を出ました。
Pub‐crawling
TJ suggested
"Lets have a pub-crawl and lastly have dinner!"
so we followed his suggestion and three people were wandering in Noge area.
As
I had heard, the streets and shops were full of young people.
I felt energy rising from the town.
Kamakura is also full of tourists and flourishing, although for me, there is no feeling of the same type of energy coming from Kamakura.
I usually take photographs, although here I didn't photograph, because I wanted to take a leisurely walk in Noge town and I thought taking photographs was likely to break the atmosphere.
However, to commemorate my arrival at Noge, I did take photographs when I left the last restaurant.
Our
first pub : "Sannen-ya" has many types of sake.
As
it was our first drink, we had beer, though H, who drove
for us had a non-alcoholic drink. Thank
you very much.
I
had deep fried Aji : Caranginae which I hadn't had for long time and
their rolled Japanese-style omelette which had quite a strong taste, for me
they were very typically Showa-feeling, and I really enjoyed them.
Secondly we popped into a small pub (maybe close to bar?), "Manbaken" on the first floor of a multipurpose building on Yanagi Street (Willow Street).
"Manbaken" means a horse race betting ticket with a payout of at least 100 times.
The building has a pretty dubious atmosphere and seems to be close to 'Yagaibakenjyō' which is a Japanese horse-race betting ticket shop that is outside a racetrack (off-track betting on your doorstep).
Later on, this 'Yagaibakenjyō' was named "Wins Yokohama" and I misunderstood this 'Wins' Japanese sounds (or meaning) as 'Wings', so I was quite impressed by what I thought was such a lovely fantasy name!, in fact, it is actually "Wins", indee~d, and I laughed at myself.
We have never visited a horse racing track or bought a betting ticket, though we went in by TJ's sense of intuition.
I like to watch films of horse races and horses on Youtube.
It
was very interesting to hear the stories of the pub owner, such as her several experiences of Manbaken, her horse racing hobby (career ?), and the pub was named "Manbaken" by her daughter, and the process of opening her pub.
Here seems to be famous among local horse racing fans.
She loves horses very much, so of course there were many things related to horses and her home seems to be full of horsey things as well.
She told us that "If you want to continue betting on horses for a long time, Don't bet your life", indee~d!
We
also had snacks one after another and I felt I was quite full before
dinner.
While I was leaving there, I thought, umm... there are interesting people and interesting lives in the world.
3)
台湾料理
/ Taiwanese Food
"万馬券"の後、夕飯を食べるお店を探して、結構、野毛の街をウロウロとしました。
台湾料理のお店を見つけて、そこに入りました。
神戸に住んでいたときに、よく、"青葉"という台湾料理のお店に行ったことを思い出しました。
"万馬券"を出たときには、お腹が満たされていて、夕飯食べられるかしら〜？と思いましたが、いざ、食べ始めると、かなりの量を食べることができました。
ここの紹興酒は他では見ないもので、すごく飲み心地がよく、美味しかったです。
食が進んだのは、このお酒のせいかもしれません(笑)。
ここでもHさんだけはノンアルコール、彼女の運転に感謝です。

初めてのお客である私達に優しい気遣いをしてくださるママさんでした。
日頃、Rの食の問題で、行くことができないお店に行くことができ、
ネギ味など、堪能しました。
幸せ！
We were the first customers that day for the lady owner and she cared for us kindly.
I was able to go to a restaurant which I cannot usually go into
because of the food problem of R, and I enjoyed the taste of onions and so on.
Here was my happiness!

Taiwanese Food
After
"Manbaken", we searched for a restaurant to eat dinner, so we walked around Noge town.
We
found a Taiwanese restaurant and entered it.
I remembered that when
I was living in Kobe, I often went to a Taiwanese
restaurant called "Aoba".
When
I left "Manbaken", I felt my stomach was full and I wondered if I could eat a dinner?
However, I started eating, I was able to eat a
considerable amount.
I
hadn't seen the restaurant's Shaoxing anywhere else and it was very
pleasant to drink and was delicious.
It
may be the effect of this alcohol that I could have a good appetite
(Laugh).
Again here H had non-alcoholic drink, thank you for her driving.

"ユニー小屋"という名前のお店であることを店を出た後に知りました。
このお店、また行きたいです。
After I left the restaurant I knew it was named "Uni Hut".
I would visit here again. |
独特の雰囲気がある街、野毛。
はしごをする機会をあまり持たない日々の中で、はしごは新鮮でした。
非日常の経験がたくさんでき、楽しく面白く過ごしました。
TJ&Hさん、どうもありがとうございました。
The Noge town area has a unique atmosphere.
I
don't have much opportunity to do 'Pub‐crawling', today's
'Pub‐crawling' was refreshing for me.
I
had, for me, unusual experiences and it was fun and interesting.
