1) ブラシノキ/ Crimson Bottlebrush
私と夫Rは、腰越の 'Art & Dining Spaceたぶのき' で開催されている絵本原画展へゆき、江ノ電・腰越駅へ向かいました。
絵本原画展については下記。
七里ヶ浜住宅街でもブラシノキは、時々見かけますが、ここでもやはり魅入ってしまいます。
鮮やかな花の赤に目がゆき、ボトルブラシにそっくりな花の形を楽しみます。
和名は、ハナマキ (花槙)、キンポウジュ (金宝樹) ですが、ブラシノキが一番適していると思います。
Crimson Bottlebrush
I and my husband R went to the picture book original painting exhibition held in 'Art & Dining Space Tabunoki' in Koshigoe, Kamakura, Kanagawa prefecture and headed to Enoden・Koshigoe Station.
About the Exhibition, below.
On the way to the station, a Crimson Bottlebrush : ★ caught my eye.
I sometimes see Crimson Bottlebrush in the Shichirigahama residential area, though I still admire them here.
The vivid red of the flowers catches my eye, and I enjoy the similarity of the shapes of the flowers to a bottlebrush.
The Japanese names are Hanamaki : 花槙 and Kimpoju : 金宝樹, but I think that Bottlebrush is the most suitable.
2) 江ノ電 / Enoden
A. 腰越駅 / Koshigoe Station
Enoden or Enoshima Electric Railway is a subsidiary of Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. and is fully owned by the Odakyu Group of companies.

B. 手作り感満載 / Full of Handmade Feeling
私のイメージでは、腰越駅は江ノ電の駅の中で、マイナーなイメージはあり、知名度も低いように感じます。
なので、下のような絵を駅舎に描き、なんとか、駅に特色をつけたり、話題性を持たせたりする努力を感じます。
実際、私も絵に目がゆき撮影し、こうしてブログにあげているのですから、彼らの思惑は成功しているのでしょう。

Full of Handmade Feeling
To me, Koshigoe Station has a minor image among Enoden stations, and I feel that it is not well known.
So, I feel that they are making an effort to draw pictures like the ones above on the station building to somehow give the station a distinctive character and make it topical.
In fact, I also took pictures of the paintings and posted them on my blog, so their intentions must have been successful.

| 地図も手作り感でいっぱいです。 The maps are also full of handmade feeling.  私がイラストレイターであった時、小田急さんの仕事で、 江ノ電駅のお散歩マップを作成しました。 スタッフさんと一緒に実際歩いて地図を作りました。 各駅にその地図が載った冊子が置かれてました。 懐かしくそんなことを思い出しました。 When I was an illustrator, I created a walking map of Enoden stations for Odakyu. I actually walked with the staff and made maps. Each station had a booklet with the map on it. I remembered such a time nostalgically. |

| 線路脇のコーナー ここは、江ノ電の敷地に思われるので、 駅員さんによる創作品ではないかと推測します。 Trackside Corner This seems to be part of the Enoden, so I guess that they are creations by the station staff.  |
