2010年に来た時は別館(新館)が建築中で、本館では、新館の宣伝が大きくされ、私はとても楽しみでした。
2016年に、"スイッチ・ハウス"/ "Switch House"と名付けられた新館がオープンされ、今年(2017年)、新館へ行くことができました。

英国の我が家からテート・モダンへ行くにはいくつか方法はあります。
この日は、ブラックフライアーズ橋 駅 (Blackfriars
Bridge Railway Station) を利用しました。
この駅は、駅そのものがテムズ川の上にあり、私はホームからの景色が楽しみです。

When I came there in 2010, the annex (new building) was under construction, the main building made publicity for the new one, so I was looking forwards to visiting there.
The new building named "Switch House", was opened in 2016, I could go to the new building this year (2017).
There are several ways to go from our home in the UK to Tate Modern.

On this day we used the Blackfriars Bridge Railway Station.
The station is above the Thames, so I looked at the views from the platform for pleasure.

ロンドンに来るたびに増えていく高層ビル。
ロンドンの高層ビルは様々なデザインがあり個性的です。
地震対策に重きを置く必要がないのでそれが可能なのでしょう？
The skyscrapers, which

| 新しいテートのビルを見る Looking at New Tate  船のようなパブ
テートを撮影した時に、川沿いのパブが船の形をしていることに
初めて気がつきました。
なんどもこの前を通っていたのに、気がつきませんでした。 Pub like a Ship When I photographed the Tate, I noticed that a pub along the river was shaped like a ship.
I had never noticed, even though I had walked past many times.

ザ・シャード
竣工: 2012年
設計: イタリア人の建築家 、レンゾ・ピアノ(1937 -)
ザ・シャードは、地上87階建て、尖塔高310m。
EUで最も高いビルです。
シャングリ・ラホテル・ アット ・ザ ・シャード ・ロンドンが入っています。
レンゾ・ピアノはポンピドゥー・センター(1977)や
このビルは宇宙的でもありますが、中世の教会も思わせます。

The Shard is 87 stories above the ground, high spire height 310 m.
It is the tallest building in the EU.
Shangri-La Hotel At The Shard London is included.
Renzo Piano designed the Centre Pompidou (1977),
Kansai International Airport and many others.
This building is cosmic, but it also makes me think of a medieval church. |
2004年にテムズ川のクルーズ観光をした際に、ロンドンは古い建物と新しい建物が混在しているけれど、違和感なく混じっていることに感動しました。
その印象は、2017年の今も同じです。
When I took a cruise on the Thames in 2004, London was mixed with old buildings and new buildings, though I was impressed that the mixing did not have strange feeing.
My impression is the same now even in 2017.

当初、建物の外装はガラス張りの予定でしたが、論争の末、
本館にあわせてレンガばりになりました。
Initially, the exterior of the building was planned to be glassed,
but after controversy, it became brick which adjusted to the main building.

 Looked up to "VIEWING LEVEL" from a Road
"VIEWING LEVEL" is the top floor, Level 10 of Switch House.
Visitors can see 360° views of the London skyline.
Unfortunately we did not go there this time.

ロンドンの景観を見ることができます。

I did not photograph. You can see some works here.→★ ここで初めて、トルコのアーティスト、Fahrelnissa Zeid (1901 -1991)を知り、 作品も初めて見ました。 万華鏡のような絵柄が印象的な作品群でした。 I first knew of Fahrelnissa Zeid (1901 -1991) here and also saw her works. She was a turkish artist. The pictures like kaleidoscopes were impressive works. |

残念ながら、タンクスでの催しを見たことがまだありません。

このレストランの壁は定期的にかわっているので、
これを見るのも楽しみです。
今回は、 ArturoHerrera (1959〜)の作品: ★(英語)
'青の色は水と空からイメージし、水と空は、テイトの正面にテムズ川があり、
周囲を空に囲まれている環境に由来しています'
と作家は書いています。

ジャコメッティ / Alberto Giacometti (1901 - 1966) の作品は、ギャラリーや美術館でよく見るというのが私の印象です。
ですが、ジャコメッティそのものに集中した展覧会を見るのは、本当に久しぶりで....最後がいつだったのか、思い出せません。
However, it is a really long time since I saw an exhibition that concentrated on Giacometti himself ...
I did not remember when I last saw his solo exhibition.

| 作品と来場者が合っていて面白い.... The works and the visitors match and they are interesting ....  |
会場の作品には強さがあり、アーティストの思いの深さや強さがひしひしと感じられました。
私の心(魂)は、揺さぶられすぎて、疲れました...。
この疲れは、『メメント・モリ』[藤原新也 (1944 ~): 作、写真 / 三五館 , 2008 /
(日本語初版1983)]
の本を見たあとに感じるものと似ていました。

ほやほやした自分の人生に、どか〜〜んと衝撃を残す展覧会でした。
The works in the Exhibition were strong, I felt the depth and strength of the artists's thoughts and feelings.
My mind or soul was shaking too much, so I got tired....
I think that my tiredness was similar to that after I had looked at a book,
