カフェ＆ギャラリー温々は、埼玉県さいたま市にあります。
建物は、築170年の納屋を改築し、素敵な空間と素朴な日本食を提供しています。
夫Rと英国で出会う前から、私は温々に姉Yと何回かきていました。
Rもここを気に入るであろうと思い、彼の初期の来日中に連れてきました。
案の定、彼も気にいりました。
ですが、カフェの場所は辺鄙なので、Yに車で連れていってもらう機会に恵まれないと私たちには行けません。
今日は、今井さんの古材家具展が開催されているので、Yを誘う機会になり、訪れることができました。
人気のカフェで、駐車場がいっぱいで、空くのをしばらく待ちました。

Cafe & Gallery Nukunuku
Cafe & Gallery Nukunuku is located in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.
The building is a converted 170-year-old barn that offers a lovely space and rustic Japanese meal.
Even before I met my husband R in Britain, I had visited Nukunuku with my sister Y a couple of times.
I guessed R would like here, so we came here during his early visits to Japan.
Sure enough, he likes here too.
But the location of the cafe is so remote that we can't go unless we have the chance of Y taking us by her car.
Imai's Exhibition was being held today, so we had the opportunity to call Y to visit.
It is a popular cafe, and the car park was full, so we waited for a while for a space.

| カフェから庭へ直接は出られませんが 建物の外周を回ると行けます。 You can't go directly to the garden from the cafe, but you can go around the perimeter of the building.  |

| カフェの敷地外の風景はあまりよくありませんが 庭の木々が境界となって良い雰囲気を保っています。 The scenery outside the cafe is not very good, but the trees in the garden keep a good atmosphere. |
3) ギャラリー / Gallery
A. 出会い / Meet
今井さんと初めてお会いしたのは、2015年に、
'ギャラリー招山・由比ヶ浜' で、私の個展 :
Space Quest in Kamakura'を開催した時でした。
奥様の京子さんともそのときにお会いしました。
洋画家・朝井 閑右衛門 (アサイカンエモン/ 1901 -1983) 氏のゲートハウスが、'ギャラリー招山・由比ヶ浜'になっており、アトリエのある母家は、その都度、何らかのイベントに貸し出されていました。
[現在、勘右衛門邸は更地になっています。下記。
今井さんの古材家具展は母家で開催されており、私の個展の前半部分と重なっていました。
今井さんの古材家具は、母家の雰囲気にとても合っていて、イベントでの展示というよりも、もとからそこにあったが如く存在していました。
作品も素敵でしたし、ご夫婦のお人柄も穏やかで、暖かく人を受け入れる懐の深さを感じました。
きっと多くの方々、彼の多くのファンはそのように感じているのだと思います。
今井ご夫妻に会えたことをとても幸運に思います。
この日は、京子さんにはお会いできず、残念でした。

| 古材家具展の告知 - 温々の入り口 - Announcement of Old Wood Furniture Exhibition - Nukunuku Entrance - |
Meet
The first time I met Imai was in 2015, when I held my exhibition: Space Quest in Kamakura in 'Gallery Shozan, Yuigahama'.
I also met his wife Kyoko at that time.
A painter Kanemon Asai (1901-1983)'s gatehouse became
'Gallery Shozan Yuigahama', and the main house with his atelier was rented out for some kind of event each time.
[Currently, the Kanemon residence is a vacant plot, below.
Imai's Old Wood Furniture Exhibition was held in the main house, and overlapped with the first half of my exhibition.
Imai's Old Wood Furniture suited the atmosphere of the house very well, and rather than being exhibited in an event, they existed as if they had been there from the beginning.
His works were wonderful, and the couple's personality was gentle, and I felt the depth of their broad-mindedness to accept people warmly.
I'm sure many people, many of his fans feel that way.
I feel very fortunate to have met the Imai couple.
It was a pity that we could not meet Kyoko on this day.

| ギャラリー部分 温々の屋内はカフェ部分とギャラリー部分がありますが 壁で仕切られていないので、カフェから展示を 眺めることができます。 Gallery Part The Nukunuku inside has a cafe part and a gallery part, but it is not separated by a wall, so you can see the exhibition from the cafe area.  |

| ワイヤー作品 今井さんは会場で、ワイヤー作品を作成していました。 私達は、以前購入したポストカード掛けのワイヤー作品を 買いたいと思っていました。 同じ素材のものがありませんでしたが、 違う素材のポストカード掛けを買うことができました。 嬉しい！ Wire Works Imai was creating wire works in the venue. We wanted to buy more of the postcard hanging wire work that we had purchased previously. He didn't have the same material, but we were able to buy postcard hangers of a different material. Happy!  |

| 箸と箸置 "free style furniture DEW" は千葉県にあります。 その地元で、昔は炭焼きに使われ植林されていた 現在では放置されているようです。 今井さんは、マテバシイの活用策として箸を制作しています。 私たちは、以前この箸を購入しました。 Chopsticks and Chopstick Rest "free style furniture DEW" is located in Chiba Prefecture. In the local area, it seems that Japanese Stone Oak (matebashii in Japanese), which used to be used for charcoal making were planted, and are now abandoned. Imai is making chopsticks as a way to utilize Japanese Stone Oak. We had bought some of these chopsticks before. |

| 以前は、京子さんが活けていらっしゃったので 彼女が活けたと思いましたが、今井さんがしていました。 In the past, I thought that Kyoko displayed plants, so I thought she was displaying, but Imai was doing it here.  素敵なセンス / Lovely Sense  |

癒された展示会でした。

| ガラス作品 ガラス作品がガラス越しの光でより美しく見えます。 ガラス作品以外にもいろいろな作家さんの作品が カフェで販売されています。 Glass Works Glass works look more beautiful with the light through the window. In addition to glass works, various artists' works are sold in the cafe. |
B. 食事 / Meal

| ローカルビール 以前は珍しかったローカルビールでしたが、 最近は、'どこに行っても'という表現が使用できるほど よく見かけます。 それでも大手企業のビールよりは出会うことは 珍しいので機会があればローカルビールを試します。  Local Beer It used to be a rare local beer, but these days it's so common that I can use the expression 'wherever you go'. Still, it's rarer to meet than the beer of a major company, so if I have the opportunity, I try a local beer.  最近私はどんなビールも、それなりに美味しいと感じますが Rのビールの好みの幅はかなり狭いようです。 このローカルビールは、Rの好きな インディア・ペールビールでした。 Nowadays I feel that any beer tastes good in its own way, but R's taste in beer seems to be pretty narrow. This local beer was R's favourite India Pale beer. |
Rの食の問題は、ここでは対処してもらえませんでした。
以前は、Rにとっては安全なおにぎりセットがあったのですが、最近、おにぎりのセットは15:00~で、ランチタイムには用意してもらえませんでした。
彼はトーストとケーキを食べ、私のランチセットで食べられるものをつまむ程度のランチになりました。

R's food problem was not treated here.
In the past, there was a rice ball set that was safe for him, but recently the rice ball set was from 15:00 and was not available at lunchtime.
He ate toast and cake, and nibbled on what he pinched from my lunch set.

| 温々のカップやソーサー、スプーンは 作家さんの作品だと思います。 それぞれ違っていて楽しいです。  I think the cups, saucers, and spoons in the cafe are the works of craft artists. Each one is different and fun.  |
この日、埼玉県へ出かけた一番の目的は、今井さんの展覧会でした。
偶然にも、Yのお料理教室の先生宅 : '菜や '(サイヤ)でもイベントが行われていました。
その中に、私作品のコーナーを作ってくださっていたので、それも見に行きました。
そのイベントについては次のセクションに載せます。
今井さんの展覧会がなければ、そのイベントに出かけるつもりはなかったので、良い機会に恵まれたと思います。
The main reason I went to Saitama that day was for Imai's Exhibition.
Coincidentally, an event was held at Y's cooking class teacher's house : 'SAIYA'.
In it, they made my work corner, so I went to see it too.
I'll post that event in the next section.
If it weren't for Imai's exhibition, I wouldn't have been able to go to that event, so I think I was blessed with a good opportunity.
