| DM ギャラリーや同時開催の今井茂淑 (1953 - )さんの展示やHpアドレスなどを 自分のDMに記載することに気をとられて 自分の名前を入れ忘れてしまったDMです(苦笑)。 タイトルにさえ名前がない! これでは個展であることもわかりませんよね。 まったく！！！ 手描きでcoonieマーク(ピッグマーク)をDMに入れ、 投函したり、配ったり、カフェに置いていただいたりしました。 私を知っている方々はcoonieの個展であることを難なく理解されたようですが、 知らない方は、グループ展のように思われたようです。 それはそうでうしょう。 ブログのタイトルには "Coonie's"とつけ加えました。 そそっかしい性格です....とほほ。 I cared very much about this gallery, and Mr. Shigetoshi Imai (1953 - ) who had his exhibition in the other part of the gallery : the main building and their HP address when I planned my DM. So much so that I even missed out my name : "coonie" from my own DM (Wry Smile). Even my exhibition title does not have my name. Then people do not realize this is a solo-exhibition. Good Grief! I drew my mark : pig mark, by my hand on every DM. After then I posted many, put some in cafes and hand delivered others. If people knew me they could understand it is my solo-exhibition, but if people did not know me they would think it was a group exhibition. Oh Dear! Therefore I add "Coonie's" to the title in my blog sections about the exhibition. I am a careless person...boohoo. |

| 看板 若宮大路から見える場所に看板は出ています。 控えめな佇まいなので、結構な人数の方々が見過ごしました。 ご迷惑をおかけし、すみませんでした。 ですが、ギャラリーとしては控えめにせざる負えないでしょう。 そしてまた、私は、こういう感じが好きです。 The Sign The sign for the gallery can be seen from Wakamiya-Oji, a main street. It is modest in appearance, so a few people missed seeing it. I am sorry for the inconvenience. However, the unassuming design cannot help it, as it is a gallery, and also I like this style. |
3) 同時開催 / Held at the same time
A. 今井さんの家具/ Imai's furniture
初日から4日間は、母屋で木工作家の今井さんの「木工・古材と鉄の変容」展が開かれていました。
私は今井さんご自身にも、彼の作品にも初対面でした。
今井さんは古材を使用して家具を作っていらっしゃると聞いていました。
彼の作品は→★
母屋で初めて彼の作品を見たとき、
「わ〜、素敵！」
というのが私の第一印象でした。
数分間すると彼のお客様がいらしたので、その場を去りました。
その後今井さんの作品をじっくり見られる時間を得られなかったのは、残念！
今井さんは、暖かく、かわいらしい方だな〜と私は思いました。
彼の家具も、その印象のように暖かく、かわいらしい。
今井さんのお客様が彼の家具を「シンプルで好き」とおっしゃっているのを聞きました。
私にはシンプルに思えなかったので、ちょっとびっくりしました。
"シンプル”とその方が表現するのは、彼の作品には付け足された装飾性はさほどないからかもしれませんが、基本的に家具とは、そういうものが殆どであると私は認識していますので、彼の作品が特別シンプルとは思えません。
私の思う家具のシンプルさは、北欧家具系列にあたり、美しくシンプルなラインで存在を強調しないものたちに感じられます。
彼の家具とはかなり違う傾向を指します。
木工の家具にしても鉄のオブジェにしても、彼の意思が強く感じられ、存在感がある作品群でした。
存在感がある彼の作品は、母屋の雰囲気とあい、母屋と溶け合っているようでした。
母屋の一部になり、そこからとりはずしがきかないほど、もう、そこにあるべきものたちという印象でした。
そこここに、飾られている花 (DM参照) も家具にも家にもあっていました。
おそらく、今井夫人が活けられたと思います。
今井夫人も、活けられた花のように、素敵な方でした。
夫人には、私のお皿を買っていただいてしまいました。

ご夫婦を象徴されているような写真です。
まさにご主人のお仕事に花を添えて効果をぐんとあげています。
私もRに助けられていますが、今井さんも奥さんに助けられているのを感じます。

I feel his photograph is symbolic of them as a couple.
She adds flowers to her husband's work
and then achieves a remarkable effect.
R helps me and Mr Imai is helped by his wife.

Mr Imai who had his exhibition : "Mokkou, Kozai and Tetsu no Henyou / Woodwork & Old Material and Changing of Iron" Exhibition in the other part of the gallery from 10th: my first day to the 13th.
It was first time I met him and his works.
I heard he uses old wood for his furniture.
His works are here →★
This was the first time I had seen his work in real life, in the house.
'WoW! Lovely! '
This was my first impression and a few minutes later one of his visitors came so I left there.
After then I could not make more time to look at his work enough, that's too bad!
I thought Mr Imai is a warm and lovely person.
His pieces of furnitures are warm and lovely as him.
I heard one of his customers say 'I like his furniture because they are simple'.
I did not think his works are simple, so I was a little surprised.
The customer might mean simple that his works do not have a lot of decorations, but I understand basically furniture is like that, so I feel his furniture is not so especially simple.
In my view North European furniture style is simple which has beautiful simple lines and do not attract attention, so my 'Simple' means quite different from the visitor.
I feel his strong opinion from his furniture made of wood and iron objets and their being.
His work has its own presence which suited the atmosphere of the house, blending with it.
My impression was that they were part of the house, they looked as though they were stuck, they should be there.
Here and there were displayed flowers in the house which suited the furniture and the house.
Probably Mrs Imai arranged them.
She is lovely like her flowers.
Oh! Yes! She bought my plates and I was happy, thank you very much!
B. 白猫 / White Cat

私の会場は今井さんの会場の玄関にあたるので、私の個展や環境にはあまりいらっしゃらない方々が旅人のように行き交いしていました。
彼らは私にとっては、通行人でした。
旅人や通行人は冷たい空気を私の作ったスペースに残していくこともありました。
同時開催の時期を過ぎると白猫があわられました。
私にとっては突然現れた白猫でしたが、この地に居ついている猫でした。
この猫は、見知らぬ人々を避けて同時開催中は影を潜めていたように思います。
私が個展を終了した19日まで毎日のようにギャラリーを訪ねてきていました。
この白猫については、違うセクションで再び触れたいと思います。(下記)

White Cat
My exhibition space was Mr Imai's visitor's entrance, so his visitors were quite unusual people for me.
I do not meet them in my environment or among my visitors to my exhibition,they were coming and going in my space, so they are passers‐by or wayfarers for me.
I watched them or talked with some of them which became my new stimulations.
However, sometimes passers‐by or wayfarers left cold air or atmosphere in my space which I had made.
After the exhibition held at the same time, a white cat appeared.
For me, it was suddenly, although the white cat had been settled in the area.
I feel the cat avoided strangers during other exhibition held at the same time and hid somewhere.
The cat came every day until I finished my exhibition, .
I will write again about the cat in a different section.(below)
