1) 鎌倉山 / Kamakurayama

我が家から最寄りバス停への道で、季節によって、複数の花を目にします。

今日は、大きな白い花に目が止まりました。

'トランペット'です。

On the way to the nearest bus stop from my house, I see multiple flowers depending on the season.

Today, my eyes stopped at big white flowers.

They were Trumpet : Brugmansia.

私はこの花を'トランペット'と覚えていましたが、
通常'エンジェル・トランペット'と
呼ばれるらしいことを知りました。
他にも複数の呼び名があります。
きらびやかな見栄えなのに、
毒性があることを知って驚きました。
しかも名前に、'エンジェル' がつく...

Trumpet : Brugmansia 

I remembered this flower as 'Trumpet', 

but I found that it is usually called 'Angel's Trumpet'.

It has several other names.

Despite its gorgeous appearance, 

I was surprised to find that it is toxic.

Into the bargain it has 'Angel' in its name...

2) リアルシトロン 2022 / Real Citron 2022

A.  "CONTEXT- S"

友人のIzumiちゃん (? ~) は、ネットショップ :"シトロンブックス：citronbooks" を営んでいます。

年に、'citronbooks' は、1,2回ほど、東京、阿佐ヶ谷の 

"CONTEXT- S" で、'リアル シトロン' を開催しています。

'リアル シトロン' は、実際にそこで絵本・文具などを販売します。

彼女は、"CONTEXT- S" を13年使用しています。

神奈川県秦野市 (ハダノシ) や東京都立川市では、絵本紹介の講座：『シトロン読書室＆小さな古本屋さん』を開催しています。

2022年の 'リアル シトロン' は、 "CONTEXT- S" で開催され、

10月14日(金) - 18日(火)の間にありました。

昨年 (2021年) は、私が足の指を骨折して、阿佐ヶ谷まで行けず、

夫Rが一人で行きました。

姉Yも 'リアル シトロン' が好きなので、都合が合えば一緒に行きますが、今回は都合があわず、Rは英国にいたため、私は、10月15日に一人で出かけました。

実は翌日から関西旅行へ出かけるので、迷いましたが、'リアル シトロン' に行きました。

"CONTEXT- S"

My friend Izumi (? ~)  runs an online shop:  'citronbooks'.

'citronbooks' holds 'Real Citron' once or twice a year in 

"CONTEXT- S" in Asagaya, Tokyo.

'Real Citron' actually sells picture books, stationery and so on there.

She has used "CONTEXT-S" for 13 years.

In Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture and Tachikawa City,Tokyo she is holding a picture book introduction course : "Citron Reading Room & Small Secondhand Bookshop".

The 2022 'Real Citron' was held in "CONTEXT- S" and was between 14th (Friday) - 18th (Tuesday) of October.

Last year (2021), I broke my toe and couldn't go to Asagaya, so my husband R went alone.

My sister Y likes 'Real Citron' too, so if she is free, I go with her, although this time she was not and R was in Britain, I went alone on 15th of October.

Actually, I was going on a trip to Kansai the next day, and I could not decide to go or not, but I did visit 'Real Citron'.

いつ行っても会場には、訪問者がたくさんいます。
Izumiちゃんの交友関係の広さと
良い人柄を感じます。

No matter when I go, there are a lot of visitors
 in the venue.
I can feel Izumi's wide range of friendships
 and good personality.

私は、いつも文房具類を購入しますが、ショップの展示のメインは絵本でしょうか？

I always buy stationery, but are picture books the main display in her event?

アンティーク?
電気のスイッチがアンティーク風で魅力的です。

Antique?
The electric switch is antique and attractive.

おしゃれに可愛く 
おしゃれに可愛くまとめています。
Izumiちゃんは展示が上手いな〜と毎回思います。
彼女自身も、おしゃれで可愛いです。
'絵本の世界から出てきた女の子'という印象を持ちます。

Fashionable and Prettiness
Her display keeps the venue stylish and pretty.
I always think that Izumi is good at exhibiting.
She is also fashionable and pretty.
She gives the impression that 'she is a girl who
 came out of a picture book'.

カフェ
リアルシトロンは、いつもミニカフェを併設しています。
それにともなって、お菓子も販売しています。
もちろん会場でお菓子や飲み物をいただくこともできます。

Cafe

Real Citron always has a mini cafe.

She also sells sweets.

Of course, you can also have sweets and drinks in the venue.

一杯分のコーヒー
リアルシトロン・オリジナルの一杯分のコーヒーです。
可愛らしいイラストです。
私は初めて見ました。
数個買いました。
他に素敵な文房具とカレンダーを買いました。

One Portion of Coffee

They are cup portions of Real Citron original coffee.

A lovely illustration.

I saw them for the first time.

I bought several.

I also bought some lovely stationery and calendars.

Izumiちゃんにも会え、素敵な空間を体験でき、好みの文房具なども購入できました。

とても満足した外出でした。

楽しかったです。

どうもありがとうございました。

次の'リアルシトロン'へも行きたいと思います。

I was able to meet Izumi, experience a wonderful space, and purchase my favourite stationery and so on.

It was a very satisfying outing.

I enjoyed.

友人のAricoさんのグループ展を見に行きました。

場所は、東京、田園調布のアトリエ木里 (キリ) でした。

東横線 ・田園調布駅からタクシーで行き、帰りは、多摩川駅まで歩きました。

入り口が一般住宅のようで、看板や掲示板がないと画廊だとわからないように感じました。

Entrance

I visited my friend Arico's group exhibition.

The venue was Atelier Kiri in Den-en-chōfu, Tokyo.

I took a taxi from Den-en-chōfu station, Tōyoko Line when I went to the gallery and on the way back walked to Tamagawa station.

The entrance looks like an ordinary house, and I felt that without a signboard or bulletin board, it would be hard to tell that it was the gallery.

展示してありました。

When I entered the entrance,

Arico's work was displayed in front.

B. 森の音・風の色 

    Sounds of the Forest, Colours of the Wind

3人展 : '森の音・風の音' は、ギャラリーが開催する企画展でした。

ギャラリーのオーナーさんが、作家さんを集め、展示のレイアウトをしたそうです。

3人の作家が扱う材質は、紙、陶器、フェルトと違い、またそれぞれの個性も違います。

ですが、それらが会場で、 '森の音・風の音' をテーマとして、とても上手に展示されていました。

オーナーさんが、この空間に、どんな世界を作りたいかがよく理解できました。

Sounds of the Forest, Colours of the Wind

3 Artists Exhibition : 'Sound of the Forest, Sound of the Wind' was held by the gallery.

I heard that the owner of the gallery selected artists and arranged the exhibition.

The materials used by the three artists are different, paper, ceramics, and felt, and their individuality is also different.

However, in the venue, they were very well exhibited together under the theme of  'Sound of the Forest, Sound of the Wind'.

I could easily understand which kind of the world the owner wanted to create in this space.

2) 第一の部屋 / First Room 

ニードル・フェルティング
北原のり子さんの作品は、私がイメージする
ニードル・フェルティングよりも大きなサイズでした。

Needle Felting
Noriko Kitahara's works are larger than 
the needle felting I imagined.

ニードル・フェルティングの展示場所には、物語が感じられました。

I felt that the display space of needle felting works had stories.

"森のシルエット"
Aricoさんの作品："森のシルエット"のお皿を2枚 (写真)、
買いました。
素敵なお皿、素敵なタイトルです。

"Forest Silhouette"

Arico's work : I bought Arico's works, 

2 plates of "Forest Silhouette" (photograph).

Lovely plates, lovely title.

Aricoさんの新作
Aricoさんは、木の幹をモチーフにしたオブジェ
を制作してきました。
新作は、半身が無地の白い面で覆われています。
今までの木のオブジェがあまり好きではなくなった
と言っていました。
新しい形を模索中に見えました。
玄関に展示してあったオブジェは好きだそうです。

Arico's New Work
Arico has made objects with a tree trunk as a motif.
The new work is half covered with a plain white surface.
She said that she had come to dislike
 the wooden objects she had made.
She looked to be searching for a new style.
I heard that she likes the objects displayed at the entrance.

ウリ坊
このウリ坊の表情も形も好きです。
そして展示場所がとても適しています。

Squeaker
I like the expression and shape of this 'squeaker'
 which is a wild boar, 0 –10 months.
And the display place is very suitable.

ハンカチ
北原のり子 作
複数の気に入った柄を見つけ、結構な枚数を購入しました。
北原のり子さんは、テキスタイルのデザインもしているようです。

Handkerchieves

I found several patterns I liked and bought quite a few.
Noriko Kitahara also designs textiles.

栞
平澤 朋子 作 。
平澤 朋子さんの作品群からは、
品がある落ち着いた印象を受けました。
子供に見せたい絵柄に感じ、
絵本編集者に好まれるように推測します。

Bookmarks

From Tomoko Hirasawa's works, I got the impression 

that there is an elegance and calmness.

I feel I want to show children her style of picture, 

and guess that picture book editors like her style.

 "森の歌が聞こえる" : ★

絵本、 "森の歌が聞こえる"は、平澤 朋子さんが絵を描いています。

小手鞠 るい (コデマリ ルイ / 1956 ~ ) が文を書いています。

出版社: 光村図書

今回の企画展にぴったりなタイトルです。

残念ながら、本を読んでいないので、

感想を書くことができません。

"I Hear the Song of the Forest"  : ★

(I translated the title.)

The picture book "I Hear the Song of the Forest" is illustrated 

by Tomoko Hirasawa.

Kodemari Rui (1956 ~ ) wrote the text.

Publisher : Mitsumura Books

The perfect title for this exhibition.

Unfortunately, I haven't read the book, so I can't comment on it.

3) 第二の部屋 / Second Room

窓の外の緑が良い背景になっています。
The green outside the window makes a good background.

壁面には、平澤さんのイラスト(インク)と
Aricoさんの陶芸の照明がかかっています。
Aricoさんは、照明作品を作ってきています。
この正方形の作品は、初めてみました。

大きなニードルフェルティングの白い鹿は、
北原さんの作品ですね。
この'白い鹿'は特別感があります。
この鹿が私を別世界へ招くように感じました。

Hirasawa's illustrations (ink) and 

Arico's pottery lights hang on the wall.

Arico has been making lighting works.

This is the first time I have seen these square pieces.

The large needle felting white deer is Kitahara's work, isn't it?

This 'white deer' has a special feeling.

I felt like this deer invited me to another world.

平澤さんのイラストは、レイアウトや色の配色が
安定しています。
言葉があっているかわかりませんが、
伝統的な絵本の絵柄に感じます。
落ち着いた雰囲気が魅力的です。

Hirasawa's illustrations have a stable layout and colour scheme.

I don't know if my sentence is right, 

I feel her illustrations are traditional picture book style.

The sober atmosphere is attractive.

The designs are reminiscent of trees and mushrooms.

4) 素敵な空間 / Lovely Space

とても楽しい空間、有意義な展覧会でした。

ありがとうございました。

この日、私は、このギャラリーの近くに住む友人宅にお泊まり込みで、招かれていました。

近くといっても、友人宅の最寄駅は、東横線・日吉駅です。

その友人宅には、森や林をイメージする装飾があったので、彼女らにこの展覧会を勧めました。

翌日、私が友人宅を出た後に、彼女らはここを訪ねたと聞きました。

彼女達もこの展覧会を楽しんだようでした。

Lovely Space

It was a very enjoyable space and a meaningful exhibition.

Thank you very much.

On this day, I was invited to stay in the flat of my friends who live near this gallery.

Even though I say it's near, the nearest station to my friend's flat is Hiyoshi Station,  Tōyoko Line.

The flat has decorations inspired by forests and woods, and I recommended this exhibition to them.

The next day, after I left their flat, I heard they visited here.

They seemed to enjoy this exhibition as well.

5) 坂 / Hills

A. 桜坂 / Sakura Hill

私は、アトリエ木里から東急・多摩川駅に歩いて向かいました。

住宅街の中を歩いて、道に迷いました。

迷った途中、'桜坂' という表示( 標識) を見つけ、これはもしや、

福山 雅治 (フクヤマ マサハル / 1969 ~) 氏が歌う"桜坂"のもとの坂なのかしら〜？と思いつつ、桜坂は見つけれられませんでした。

Sakura Hill

I walked from Atelier Kiri to Tokyu Tamagawa Station.

I lost my way while walking in a residential area.

On the way while being lost, I found a sign called 'Sakurazaka Hill' and I wondered 'Is this hill the origin of the song・"Sakura Zaka : Sakurazaka Hill" by Masaharu Fukuyama (1969 ~) ? ’, but I couldn’t find the Sakurazaka Hill.

B. 富士見坂 / Fujimizaka Hill

随分前に、東京にはたくさんの富士見坂 (フジミザカ) があると聞きました。

聞いた後、意識していると、確かに、あちらこちらに、'富士見坂'、または、'なになに富士見坂' という標示(標識)を見かけます。

名前の通り、富士山が見える、または見えそうな坂もあれば、見えなくなってしまっているところもあります。

アトリエ木里から東急・多摩川駅に歩いて向かう途中に、富士見坂'の標識を見つけ、その坂を下りました。

その坂からは富士山は見えないように感じました。

Sign of Fujimizaka Hill

Fujimizaka Hill

A long time ago, I heard that there are many Fujimizaka Hills in Tokyo.

Since hearing this, I have certainly noticed signs here and there saying 'Fujimizaka Hill' or 'Bla bla Fujimizaka Hill'.

As the name suggests, there are hills where I can see or might have been able see Mt. Fuji, and there are other places where we cannot see Mt. Fuji.

While walking from Atelier Kiri to Tokyu Tamagawa Station, I found a sign for 'Fujimizaka Hill' and went down the hill.

I felt that I could not see Mt.Fuji from that hill.

マンションの上の階からなら富士山は
見えるのかもしれませんね。

They may be able to see Mt.Fuji from the top floor of
the apartment block.
