個展：'Coonie's SKY 2022' にいらしてくださった、I先生から
'第60回記念 日本現代工芸美術展' のチケットをいただきました。
日本の工芸展にあまり興味はないのですが、I先生にせっかくいただいたので、感謝の気持ちを持って行くことにしました。
こういう機会も何かの縁かなとも思いました。
姉Yと夫Rと私の3人は上野駅 (公園口) で待ち合わせをし、上野公園を歩きつつ美術館へ向かいました。

From I Sensei
I was given tickets for 'The 60th Anniversary Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Exhibition' from I Sensei, who visited my Exhibition : 'Coonie's SKY 2022'.
I'm not so interested in Japanese Craft Exhibitions, but I visited it because I felt grateful to I Sensei.
I thought this kind of opportunity was also for some kind of reason.
The Japan Contemporary Art Crafts Exhibition was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

2) 上野恩賜公園 / Ueno-oncho Park
A. 久しぶり / After A Long Time
上野公園に来たのはとても久しぶりで、最後に訪れたのはいつであったか覚えていません。
上野公園が、'上野の森' または '上野の山'と呼ばれていることは知っていましたが、
公式名称が 上野恩賜公園 (ウエノオンシコウエン) : ★という事を初めて知りました。
訪れた日は、お天気が良い土曜日で、公園は多くの人々で賑わっていました。
コロナ禍で多くの人々が集まる場所を避けていたので、多くの人が穏やかに過ごす野外の風景を珍しく感じ、このような風景を見られることを嬉しく感じました。

| 上野公園案内図 上野公園は、1873年に、日本で初めて公園に指定されました。 この地図と同じものを公園内でボランティアの方から いただきました。 公園の面積は、約53ha (530,000㎡)です。 公園内には博物館、動物園等、多くの文化施設があります。 東京都美術館もその１つです。 Ueno Park Guide Map Ueno Park had been designated as the first park in Japan in 1873. In the park a volunteer gave us the same map as this one. The area of the park is about 53ha (530,000㎡). There are many cultural facilities in the park, such as museums and a zoo. It's been a long time since I came to Ueno Park : ★ and I don't remember when I last visited.
野外作品は12点ありますが、私が見たのは2,3点でした。
B. 日本現代工芸美術展

工芸、工芸の技法は日本文化の重要な1つであると思います。
I knew that Ueno Park is called 'Ueno-no-Mori : Ueno Forest' or 'Ueno no Yama : Ueno Mountain', I found for the first time that the official name is 'Ueno-oncho Park'.
The day we visited was a sunny Saturday and the park was crowded with people.
Since I had avoided places where many people gathered during the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt the outdoor scenery unusual where many people spend time calmly, and I was happy to see such scenery.

なので、都会の公園に群れをなして咲いていたことに驚きました。
Iris Japonica (Fringed Iris / Shaga/ Butterfly Flower) have the image of a mountain flower.
So I was surprised that they were blooming in a group in an urban park.

| 第一室 ここでI先生にお会いしました。 先生は、丁寧に多くの作品ついて説明してくださりました。 多くの方々が高い技術を駆使し、長い時間をかけて作品制作に 励んでいらしゃる事を実感しました。 先生、ありがとうございました。 Room 1 I met I Sensei here. Sensei politely explained many works. I felt that many people make full use of their high skills and spend a long time working hard to create their works. Sensei, Thank you very much.  |

I show here.
大作がたくさんありました。
ただ、私の世界はここにはないのかもしれないと感じました。
There were many masterpieces.
However, I felt that my world might not be here.
C. 工芸の技法 / Techniques of Crafts

| 技法を紹介する部屋が設けられていました。 工芸展であることを感じました。 There was a room to introduce the techniques. I felt that here was a craft exhibition. |
多くの方々がその文化を維持しつつ、何かしらの新しさも加え
制作していらっしゃることをあたらめて感じました。
I think that crafts and techniques of crafts are one of the most important things in Japanese culture.
I felt once again that many people are making something new while maintaining this culture.
時には、自分の世界ではない世界を見ることは、自分の制作の方向性を見極めるために良いことだと思いました。
このような機会をI先生からいただきました。
ありがとうございました。
Sometimes I thought it was good to see a world other than my own to determine the direction of my making.
I was given such an opportunity by I Sensei.
