2021年11月4.5日個展準備 - スタジオ / Preparation for My Exhibition - Studio , 4th and 5th of November, 2021

1) 上絵具 / Overglaze Colours

上絵具
(11月4日)
本焼を待つ間にラスター焼成の準備を始めました。
写真は上絵具 (ウワエノグ/ 日本ではこう呼ぶ種類の材料)
やそれらに対する溶剤です。
上絵具は釉薬焼成(本焼)を終了後に施し低温で焼成します。
('絵付'と表現される過程です）
上絵具にはラスター、エナメル類が含まれます。
私はこれらを英国で学んだので、未だにはっきりと
英国 (名) の材料が日本語 (名) のどの材料かが掴めていません。
材料は英国と日本の両方の国で購入しています。
同じものを使用しているのかどうかわからず、使用しています。

Uwaenogu : Overglaze Colours

(4th of November)

While waiting for a glaze firing, I started preparing for lustre firing.

This photograph shows Uwaenogu ：overglaze colours

and the solvent for them.

After glaze firing, Uwaenogu is fired at a low temperature.

(It is a process expressed as 'Porcelain Painting')

Uwaenogu includes lustres, enamel and so on.

Since I studied these in Britain, I still don't know enough of

which material the English (name) is which name in Japanese.

My materials are purchased in both Britain and Japan.

I don't know if I'm using the same one, anyway I'm using them.

2) 本焼 / Glaze Firing

本焼成修了
(11月5日)
11月2日に開始した焼成が終わりました。
この後、ラスター焼成しますが、そちらは
違う窯 : No2. 窯で開始します。

The firing that started on 2nd of November is over.
After this, I will have a lustre firing,
but using the other kiln : No.2 Kiln.

1) 小旅行 / Small Trip

東京駅から始まった小旅行の目的は、友人、堀内君のグループ展でした。

鎌倉に住む私にとっては、東京行きは、日帰りの小旅行になります。

今日は、夫Rとともに、東京駅から、皇居の濠沿いを歩き、竹橋で

開催されたグループ展に行き、良い刺激を受けました。

帰りの電車は新橋駅から乗ることにしていたので、エビスバーから

気持ちも足もふわふわとしつつ新橋駅へと向かいました。

Small Trip

The purpose of our excursion that started from Tokyo Station was a group exhibition of my friend Horiuchi Kun.

For me living in Kamakura, going to Tokyo is a day trip.

Today, with my husband R, we walked along the moat of the Imperial Palace from Tokyo Station and went to a group exhibition held at Takebashi, which was a good stimulus.

We had decided to take the return train from Shimbashi Station, so while we headed to Shimbashi Station from the YEBISU BAR,

I walked with my feelings and legs fluffy.

2) 新幸橋碑 / New Saiwai Bridge Monument

エビスバーのすぐ近くで、新幸橋碑 (シンサイワイバシヒ/ 下の画像) を見つけました。

碑は、ほぼガード下にあったので、もしやここは昔は川で橋が架かっていたのではと推測し、撮影をしました。

私はもともと橋が好きなのでこの碑が気になりました。

帰宅後、新幸橋碑についてネット検索すると、新幸橋は江戸城の外濠に架けられていたとわかりました。

この日の皇居 (旧」江戸城) のお濠沿いの散策との繋がりを感じました。

江戸城は外郭は新橋まで及んでいたことにも驚きを感じました。

New Saiwai Bridge Monument

I found the New Saiwai Bridge Monument, below near the YEBISU BAR.

The monument was almost under the railway girder bridge, so

I guessed that it used to be a bridge over a river, so I took a photograph.

I've always liked bridges, so I was curious about this monument.

After returning home, I searched the internet for the monument and found that New Saiwai Bridge was over the outer moat of the Edo Castle.

I felt the connection with the walk along the moat of the Imperial Palace (formerly "Edo Castle") on that day.

I was also surprised that the outer moat of Edo Castle extended to Shimbashi.

新幸橋碑 : ★
元々は江戸城の外濠の幸橋御門前 (サイワイバシゴモンマエ)に
幸橋 (サイワイバシ) は架けられていました。
明治時代初期には、この周辺の外堀は埋め立てられてはいず、
新幸橋 (シンサイワイバシ) は幸橋近くに架けらていました。
明治時代末期に外濠は埋め立てられ新幸橋は不要になり(廃橋)、
現在、この新幸橋碑があります。

New Saiwai Bridge Monument

Originally, Saiwai Bridge was built in front of Saiwai Bridge Gate

in the outer moat of Edo Castle.

In the early Meiji era, the outer moat around this area was not reclaimed, and New Saiwai Bridge was built near Saiwai Bridge.

At the end of the Meiji era, the outer moat was reclaimed

and New Saiwai Bridge became unnecessary (abandoned bridge),

and now there is a New Saiwai Bridge monument.

縦になっています。

ほぼ中央下に幸橋門 (サイワイバシモン)があります。

The Saiwai Bridge Gate (幸橋門) is located almost

2) 新橋駅周辺 / Around Shimbashi Station

A. 蒸気機関車 / Steam Locomotive

銀座方面から新橋駅に向かい、新橋西口・SL広場に出ました。

ここは待ち合わせ場所によく使用されると聞いていますが、私は待ち合わせ場所として一度も使用したことがありません。

とにかく、SL広場に来たので、RとSLの記念撮影をしました。

R抜きの写真をここには載せます。

国鉄C11形蒸気機関車 - 292号
新橋西口・SL広場の蒸気機関車は、
国鉄C11形蒸気機関車 - 292 : C11-292号です。
日本人にはあまりにも有名で説明する必要もありませんが...。
新橋駅は、1872年、横浜との間に開通した日本初の鉄道の起点です。
新橋駅から一番列車が出発した鉄道発足100周年を記念し、
この蒸気機関車が保存展示されました。

JNR C11 Steam Locomotive - 292

The steam locomotive at the west exit of Shinbashi ; SL Square is

JNR Class C11 292.

It's so famous to Japanese people that I don't need to explain it ...

Shimbashi Station is the starting point of Japan's first railway that

opened between Yokohama and Tokyo in 1872.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of

the inauguration of the first train from Shimbashi Station.

This steam locomotive was preserved and exhibited.

From the direction of Ginza, we headed towards Shimbashi Station and arrived at the Shinbashi West Exit・SL Square.

I've heard that here is often used as a meeting place, but I've never used here as a meeting place.

Anyway, we came to SL Square, so I took commemorative photographs of R with the SL.

B. 盲導犬の像 / Guide Dog Statue

なぜ、ここに盲導犬の像が？と疑問に思いました。

渋谷駅の忠犬ハチ公像が待ち合わせとして有名なので、待ち合わせと犬の繋がりで、この場所に設置されたのだと推測します。

設置 : 1969年
1969年当時、主な盲導犬はジャーマン・シェパードでした。
この犬はそのジャーマンシェパードです。
盲導犬の普及を願ってこの像は建てられたそうです。
現在の盲導犬の主流はラブラドール・レトルリバー。

In 1969, the most common guide dog was the German Shepherd.

This dog is a German Shepherd.

It is said that this statue was built in hopes of popularizing guide dogs.

The current mainstream guide dog is the Labrador Retriever.

Why is there a statue of a guide dog here? I was wondering.

The statue of Hachikō, the faithful dog at Shibuya station, is famous as a meeting place, so I presume that it was installed at this place because of the connection between meetings and the dog.

C. 新橋ドライドック/ SHINBASHI DRY-DOCK

新橋駅に到着し、すぐに構内へ入ることもできましたが、Rが、ビール・バーの"ドライドック"に行きたいというので、向かいました。

"ドライドック" は新橋駅烏森口店 (南口) 方面にあります。

長らく行っていないので、少し迷いましたが見つけることができました。

友人Hさんの経営する、"ドライドッグ"は
JR高架下にあります。
開いていて混んでなかったら、ビール一杯、飲んで
帰ろうかなと思いました。

The beer bar "DRY-DOCK" run by

my friend H san is under the JR overpass.

We haven't been there for a long time, so we would see it.

If it was open and not crowded,

we thought we would drink a glass of beer and go home.

SHINBASHI DRY-DOCK

After arriving at Shimbashi Station, we were able to enter the premises immediately, but R wanted to go to a beer bar, "DRY-DOCK", so we headed for it.

"DRY-DOCK" is in the direction of Shimbashi Station Karasumori Exit (South Exit).

I haven't been there for a long time, so I was a little lost, but I was able to find it.

東京・竹橋の書道展の後、銀座にある友人、Yusukeくんのビール・バーに私と夫Rと向かいました。

書道展については下記。

Yusuke くんは、お店を3軒経営していますが、私達はそのうちの

1軒; BBB (ブラッセリービアブルヴァード/ Brasserie Beer Blvd.) : ★のみを利用していました。

今日は、3軒のうちの1つ、銀座の立ち飲みビールバー、PILSEN ALLEY (ピルゼンアレイ) : ★を訪ねる計画を持っていました。

地下鉄から地上に出ると、銀座通りは、歩行者天国になっていました。

いつ最後の歩行者天国を見たのか覚えていません。

コロナ禍の社会が少しづつ通常へ戻ってゆくのを感じました。

After the Calligraphy Exhibition in Takebashi, Tokyo, I and my husband R went towards a beer bar which is run by our friend, Yusuke in Ginza.

③ 2021年11月3日東京 - 書道展/ Tokyo - Calligraphy Exhibit...

Yusuke runs two pubs and a bar, but we have only visited one of them ; BBB (Brasserie Beer Blvd.): ★ only in Japanese

Today we had a plan to visit the beer standing bar, PILSEN ALLEY: ★ in Ginza.

When we got out of the underground to the ground, Ginza Street became a 'Pedestrian Precinct' temporarily closed to vehicles.

I don't remember when I last saw the 'Pedestrian Precinct'.

I felt that after the coronavirus crisis society was gradually returning to normal.

The Intersection is located in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
It is famous as an intersection where the Wako Main Building,

and the San-ai Dream Center are landmarks of Ginza.

2) PILSEN ALLEY (ピルゼンアレイ)

お店のサイトで祝日でもオープンしていることを確かめて行ったのに、しまっていました。

いつもYusukeくんの店を訪ねるときは、彼にメールをしていたのにこの日はしませんでした。

こんな時に限ってしまっているなんて！

残念に思いつつ、店の写真だけ撮って、新橋方面へ向かいました。

PILSEN ALLEY

After I made make sure in their website that it was open, even on public holidays, we visited there, however, it was closed.

(In Japan, today was National Holiday)

Whenever I had planned to visit Yusuke's pub, I have sent an e-mail to him, but I didn't do it on this day.

It's only at such times!

I felt very disappointed, I only took a picture of the Bar door and we headed for Shimbashi.

3) エビスバー / YEBISU BAR

頭はビールでいっぱいだったので、とにかく、東京にいるうちにどこかでビールが飲みたいと思いました。

鎌倉へ帰る時に使用する新橋駅近くで、飲めたらいいな〜と思いつつ新橋駅へ向かって歩き、'エビスバー/ YEBISU BAR' 見つけました。

今日、東京駅から書道展の会場に向かうときに恵比寿様の銅像を見たことを思い出し、あの時から、今日は、'エビスバー/ YEBISU BAR' くることになっていたのだと納得しました (笑)。

YEBISU BAR

My head was full of beer, so anyway, I wanted to drink beer somewhere while we were in Tokyo.

While we walked towards Shimbashi station which we would use to return to Kamakura, I hoped we would have beer somewhere near the station and we found 'YEBISU BAR'!

I remember seeing the statue of God Ebisu when we were heading to the Calligraphy Exhibition from Tokyo Station today, and from that time I was convinced that we were supposed to be in 'YEBISU BAR ' today, ha ha.

私はYEBISU BARの存在を今日まで知りませんでした。

I didn't know the existence of YEBISU BAR until today.

を見つけて喜びました。

I was delighted to find beers that are not on the general market :
"Curtain Call '21",
"Crescent Moon",
and "50/50 (Black Fifty)" .

左：グラス / 右：ジョッキ
メニューにグラスとジョッキが載っていましたが大きさが
よくわからなかったので、最初の1杯目は両方のサイズを
注文しました。

There is a choice of glass and mug on the menu,
but we weren't sure what the sizes were,
so we ordered both sizes for our first beer.
