さくらんぼの木の花が咲きました。
実は、鳥やりすに食べられて、まだ食べたことがありませんが、
花は人間のほうが楽しめるのかもしれません。

Cherry tree flowers have bloomed.
Actually, its berries were eaten by birda and squirrels, so I have not eaten them yet,
however, flowers may be more enjoyed by humans.

2018年10月21日- ギャラリー花眠 / Gallery Kamin, 21st of October, 2018

ギャラリー花眠
毎年11月に、北鎌倉の"ギャラリー花眠"による「原画カレンダー展」が開催されます。

売上はユニセフに寄付されます。

2017年に私も参加しましたが、この時私は、神戸にいたので、会場へは行く事ができませんでした。

幸いなことに私の作品は好評であったとのことで、2018年の展覧会にも、お声をかけていただきました。

けれでも私は既存の作品のどのタイプが展覧会に適しているかわかりませんでしたので、ギャラリーのオーナーであるKさんに選んでいただきたいと思いました。

私はギャラリーを訪れた時、私は、傷みがひどかったものの、右のつま先が骨折していたのを知りませんでした。

なので、作品を入れたブリーフケースは、夫のRに運んでもらいました、
ありがとう、R！

Kさんはこの日もそれ以前にも、
「どんな作品でも良いのですよ」
とおっしゃっていましたが、私の希望を聞いて、いくつか選んでくださいました。

ありがとうございました。


Gallery Kamin

Every November, an "Original Pictures Calendar Exhibition" is held by the "Gallery Kamin" in Kita-Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Sales are donated to UNICEF.

I participated in it 2017, although I was in Kobe at that time, so I did not go the Gallery.

The good news was that my work was well received, and they asked me to join their 2018 exhibition, too.

However, I didn't know which type of my work existing would be suitable for the exhibition, so I would like K san, the gallery owner, to choose.

When I visited the Gallery, I did not know I had a broken right toe although the pain was severe.

So my husband, R carried a briefcase of the possible works, thank you, R.

She said on this day and earlier,

"Any work is fine."

though she accepted my request and selected some.

I think it is better that the chosen works suit the taste of the “Original Pictures Calendar Exhibition” as much as possible.

ハーブティー

Kさんは、私達の眼の前で、ベランダ・ガーデンのハーブを摘んで、
ハーブティーを作ってくださいました。
なんて素敵なお茶でしょう！美味しかった！
左のお皿にあるものは持参したフランスのオレンジピールチョコレート。
Rがお土産として英国から持ってきたものです。
プライベートなので、撮影を控えましたが、
インテリアもとてもおしゃれで素敵でした。

Herbal Tea

K san picked herbs growing in the veranda garden in front of us 

and she made herbal tea.

What a lovely tea!

It was very good!

In the dish on the left were French orange peel chocolates which we brought.

R had brought from England as a souvenir.

 I did refrain from photographing, as it was private,

the interior was also very fashionable and lovely.

コースターはタイル。
彼女はこれをキッチンの壁に使いたかったそうですが、
汚れが付着しやすいということで、実現できなかったそうです。

The coaster is a tile.

She had wanted to use it for the kitchen wall,

although she couldn't because it would easily get dirty.

そこは、一つ、一つのものに、こだわりがあり、選び抜かれたもので満たされ、
居心地の良い空間でした。

1) 日本郵船歴史博物館 / NYK Maritime Museum 
東京に用事があり、Rと外出。

その帰りに、横浜にある、"日本郵船歴史博物館" に立ち寄りました。

名前も建物の外見も、公的な博物館のようですが、日本郵船の企業博物館です。

ウィキペディアによると、
"日本は長い歴史を持つ企業が多いこともあり世界的にみても特に企業博物館が多く開設されている国である"
そうです。

氷川丸 : ★ も、1930年に日本郵船が造船しました。

ご存知の通り、現在、氷川丸は、山下公園前に停泊し、博物館船として公開されています。

NYK Maritime Museum 

I visited Tokyo on an errand with R.

On the way back, we stopped at the NYK Maritime Museum (Nippon Yūsen Rekishi Hakubutsukan) in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Both the name and the appearance of the building seem to be a public museum, but it is a corporate museum of Nippon Yusen.

According to Wikipedia in Japanese about 'Corporate Museum'.

"There are many companies with a long history in Japan and there are a lot of corporate museums, compared to the rest of the world."

Hikawa Maru : ★ was built by Nippon Yusen in 1930.

According to Wikipedia about Hikawa Maru,

"Hikawa Maru (氷川丸) is a Japanese ocean liner that Yokohama Dock Company built for Nippon Yūsen Kabushiki Kaisha ("NYK Line").

She was launched on 30 September 1929 and made her maiden voyage from Kobe to 

Seattle on 13 May 1930.

 She is permanently berthed as a museum ship at Yamashita Park, Naka-ku, Yokohama."

According to Wikipedia in Japanese, I translate summery, 

“Nippon Yusen is a shipping company established in 1885.

It is a core company of Mitsubishi Financial Combine (Mitsubishi Group), and together with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is a pioneer company of the Mitsubishi Group.

It became a corporation in 1893.

One of Japan's three major shipping companies and is one of 12 stock specific stocks (Heiwa Real Estate, Toray Industries , Asahi Kasei, JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy, Sumitomo Electric Industries, NEC, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toyota Motor, Mitsui & Co., Tokio Marine Nichido Fire Insurance, Nippon Yusen).

From the English name "NIPPON YUSEN KAISHA" there is a subname called "NYK LINE". "

竣工 :1963 / ギリシャ・コリント式のビル

"コリント式の柱が用いられている代表的建造物としては、ローマのパンテオン"

Built in 1963 / Greek Corinthian Building

According to Japanese Wikipedia about Corinthian (I translate it),

"The Pantheon in Rome is a typical structure where
Corinthian columns are used." 

建物は、2003年に博物館とするため大規模な改修を行い、1階部分を竣工時通りにするために天井や照明などを変えました。

そのことが評価され、第15回BELCA賞ベストリフォーム部門で受賞をしました。

("BELCA 賞は、長期にわたって適切な維持保全を実施したり、優れた改修を実施した既存の建築物のうち、特に優秀なものを選び、その関係者を表彰することにより、わが国におけるビルのロングライフ化に寄与することを目的とする表彰制度です" ; サイトより)

また、経済産業省の近代化産業遺産にも認定されています。

綺麗な天井

建物の撮影は許可されていますが、展示は撮影禁止です。

Beautiful Ceiling 

Photographing of buildings is permitted but not of exhibits.

In 2003, they made extensive renovations to make it into the museum, and changed the ceilings and lightings to return the ground floor as it was built.

That was recognized and won the 15th BELCA Award Best Renovation Category.

(The BELCA Award is for the existing buildings which are long-standing buildings that have been properly maintained over the long term in Japan by selecting the outstanding buildings from among the buildings that have been properly renovated and maintained over the long term.)

It is also recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Heritage of Industrial Modernization".

3) 展覧会 / Exhibitions

"図案家たちの足跡"展が開催されていました。
The "Footprints of Zuan-ka : Designers " exhibition was held.

当時はデザイナー、グラフィックデザイナー、プランナーと言う言葉が一般化されていなかったのだと思います。

"図案家" と言う言葉が印象的です。

私が唯一勤めた会社での部署は、"意匠課"(イショウカ)であったことを思いだしました。

I think that  the words “designer, graphic designer, and planner” were not generalized at that time.

The word,  "Zuan-ka" is impressive. 

It reminded me that in the one company I worked for, my department was called Ishou-ka : "Design" in Japanese.

常設展(★)も特別展もとても面白く見ました。
また行きたいです。

I looked at the permanent exhibition (★) and the special exhibition 
which were both very interesting.
I would like to visit here again.

自動販売機のみです。
ちょっと残念です...。

It is only a vending machine.
It is a little disappointing...

The port at night is beautiful and romantic, isn't it?

1) 夜明の空 / Sky at Dawn

夜明け 

私は、早起きなのでよく夜明けの空をみます。

私の写真では、その美しさは捉える事ができません。

あっという間に色あいが変わって行き、最も美しい瞬間は消えてしまいますが、

それも魅力的です。

Dawn

I often see the dawn sky because I get up early.

I can not capture the beauty in my photos.

The colour changes in an instant, and the most beautiful moment disappears,

however, it is also attractive.

お美味しいチョコレートケーキでした。

3) 個展に向けて / Towards My Exhibition

春と夏に制作したリトグラフの撮影をしました。
I photographed lithograph works which I printed in spring and summer.

いくつかの作品は、このままリトグラフとして、また、いくつかの作品は磁器片を伴って展示する予定です。

Some works will be exhibited as lithographs as they are, and some works will be accompanied by porcelain pieces.

沖縄、由布島 (ツブジマ) の椰子です。

由布島は、八重山列島(ヤエヤマレットウ/ 八重山諸島: ヤエヤマショトウ)
に含まれます。

These are palms in Yubu Island, Okinawa.
The Island is one of the Yaeyama Islands.

2018年10月2日 - "ゴールデングリーン" の野菜 / Vegetables of "Golden Green", 2nd of October, 2018

"ゴールデングリーン" の野菜が到着！

友人夫妻が経営している"ゴールデングリーン" から、７ヶ月間に渡って、有機野菜が届きます。

我が家では月に1回、Sサイズを届けていただいています。

毎回、箱を開けるのが楽しみ！

大好きなホオズキが入ってました！ビーツは初めて入っていたように思います。
英国では調理済みのビーツが真空パックや瓶詰でよく売られています。

My favourite Hozuki is in! I think beets are in for the first time.
Cooked beets are often sold in vacuum packs and jars in Britain.

Vegetables of "Golden Green" arrived!

"Golden Green", which is managed by a friend couple, send organic vegetables over a 7-Month period.

We have a "S size box" once a month.

I look forward to opening the box every time!
