シベリウス公園の近くに、"カフェ・レガッタ / Cafe Regatta / Kahvila Regatta"は、あります。

もとは、1887年に建てられた釣り小屋でした。

1952年以降、その場所でカフェがありましたが、2002年から、"カフェ・レガッタ" が営業を始めます。

The "Cafe Regatta / Kahvila Regatta" is near to 'Sibelius Park'.

Originally it was a shed for fishnets built in 1887.

Since 1952, here was a cafe, and then 'Cafe Rigatta' was opened here in 2002.

カフェは 'セウラサーリ/ Seurasaarenselkä 湾' 内にあります。
海が穏やかで、潮の香りもあまりしないので、湖かと思ってしまいます。

Cafe Regatta / Kahvila Regatta

The cafe is in Seurasaarenselkä Bay.

The sea was calm and I did not smell the salty tang of the sea so much, so I felt this is a lake.

They rent out paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and a rowing boat in summer : ★ in Suomi and English.

小さな島々によって囲まれた内海で、比較的浅い海域です。
ですが、バルト海に通じています。
『ゲド戦記』[1968 -2001 / アーシュラ・K・ル＝グウィン (1929 - )

のアーキペラゴ (多島海)が思い浮かびます。

Seurasaarenselkä Bay
The inland sea surrounds some small islands 
and the sea is relatively shallow. 
However, it leads to the Baltic Sea.
I recall that the archipelago

キッチュになりそうなテイストでありながら
そうではないと私は感じます。
いろいろなところに北欧センスが自然に散りばめられているから
なのかもしれません。

The taste leans towards being 'Kitsch',
however, I do not feel this about here.
The reason might be that Scandinavia sense infuses everywhere naturally.

夏のシーズンは、午前8時から午前2時まで営業していることに驚くとともに、
夜が明るいのだということに気がつかされました。

I was surprised that they open from 8:00am to  2:00am in summer season
as well as it reminded me the evenings are bright.

夏なのに、火をおこしています。
さすが北欧！
ああ、でもこれはバーベキュー用なのかも？

Even though it is summer, they are making fire.
Indeed, here is Scandinavia!
Oh! Yes! This might be for a barbecue?

スタッフ、親切

Rはブロッコリーのデニッシュ、私はまたまたシナモンロール。

なかなか美味しい.....

深煎りコーヒーを注文した場合は2杯目は無料。

中炒りコーヒーを注文した場合は2杯目は半額。

私は深炒りを2杯、Rは中煎りを3杯いただきました。

Staff are Kind

R had broccoli pastry and I had a cinnamon-roll again..!

It was quite good.

If the first cup of coffee is dark, the second cup is free.

If the first cup of coffee is medium, the second cup is half price.

I had two cups of dark coffee.

R had three cups of medium coffee.

 'セウラサーリ / Seurasaarenselkä 湾は、
1952年のオリンピックのボート会場になりました。

 Seurasaarenselkä Bay was the venue for Olympic rowing in 1952.

ボート・スクールがあるようです。
There seems to be a boat school.

'カレリアパイ' ( 'Karelian Pie' / 'Karjalan Piirakka')
Rはスオメンリンナ島(スオメンリンナ要塞)で、

'カレリアパイ' ( 'Karelian Pie' / 'Karjalan Piirakka')

を食べてからこれがお気に入りです。

フィンランドの'国民食'とも言われているそうです。

Rは、お店の人から

「カモメは卵のソース(エッグ・バター)が好きだから気をつけて」

と言われました。

それで私達はきょろきょろ見回しましたが

運が良いことにそのときはカモメはいませんでした。

'Karelian Pie' / 'Karjalan Piirakka'

R has liked  'Karelian Pie' since he had one in Suomenlinna.

They say that  this is 'National Dish' of Finland.

The staff said to him

"Seagulls like the 'egg butter', so be careful".

Then we looked around the surroundings,

though fortunately there were none at that time.

のどかな風景
訪れたのが朝で、カフェが静かでした。
環境も、静かさも、飲食含め、トータルで
このカフェがヘルシンキで一番好きでした。

Peaceful View 
We visited the cafe in the morning, the cafe was quiet.
The environment, the calm, the drink and food, totally,
I liked this cafe the most in Helsinki.

宿泊した、ヘルステン ヘルシンキ パーリメントから、"シベリウス公園 / Sibelius Park / Sibeliuksen puisto"が近いので、ヘルシンキ、最終日の朝に散歩がてら出かけました。

公園近くにある、海沿いの"カフェ、レガッタ / Kahvila Regatta"で朝食の予定もしていました。

Our accommodation, Hellsten Helsinki Parliament is near to the Sibelius Park, so we went out for a walk in our last morning in Helsinki. 

I had a plan that we would have breakfast in "Cafe Regatta / Kahvila Regatta" beside the sea, near to the park.

たくさんのボート / Many Boats 

雁の一群

"エスペリア遊歩道 / Hesperian esplanadi"を歩いていて
雁の群れに会いました。
ヘルシンキでは鴨よりも雁を見る機会が多かったように感じます。

A Troop of Wild Geese 

When we walked on "Hesperian promenade / Hesperian esplanadi",

there was a troop of wild geese.

I feel I saw geese more than ducks in Helsinki.

近代的な建物

きっと海の景色を楽しめるのでしょう。

Modern Building

They must be enjoying sea views.

遊歩道をはずれてこちらの小道を歩き始めました。

でも、ここはすでにシベリア公園内だったのです。

We deviated from the promenade and begun to walk up this path.
But already, here was Sibelius Park.

気持ちよく歩きました。静かでした。
I walked comfortably. Here was quiet.

おとぎ話に出てくるような、家は何？

もともと貸別荘として、1873年に建設され、現在は、
青少年、青少年団体に主に無料で貸し出されています。

What is this, a fairytale house?

Originally, it was built in 1873 as a rental vacation cottage, 

and it is loaned out for free mainly now for young people 
and young people's group.

2) シベリウス公園 / Sibelius Park

ジャン・シベリウス / JeanSibelius (1865-1957) の80歳の誕生日を記念して、1945年に名付けられたのが 、"シベリウス公園 / Sibeliuksen puisto"です。

"Sibelius Park / Sibeliuksen puisto" was named in 1945 in commemoration of the 80-year-old birthday of JeanSibelius (1865-1957).

シベリウス・モニュメント/ Sibelius monument の周りは、
ツアー客でいっぱい。

人がいなくなるのを待とうと思いましたが、

違うツアーの団体が次々到着するので、諦めました。

Around the Sibelius Monument is full of tour visitors.

I intended to wait for people to disappear,
but I gave up because different tour groups arrived in sequence.

モニュメントは、1967年に開催されたコンテストで選ばれました。

フィンランドの女流彫刻家、エイラ＝ヒルトゥネン / Eila Hiltunen (1922 - 2003) の作品です。

デザインがパイプ・オルガンを様式化(抽象化)したものでしたが、シベリウスがパイプ・オルガンのための作曲を殆どしなかったので、物議がおこり、その解決策として、彼女はモニュメントのそばにシベリウスの顔を加えることを要求されたのです。

The monument was chosen by a contest held in 1967.

The work is by Finnish sculptress, a Finnish sculptress Eila Hiltunen (1922 - 2003).

The design performed stylization (abstraction) of organ pipes, however, almost none of Sibelius's compositions were for organ, so it gave rise to public censure.

As a solution, she was requested to add Sibelius's face beside the main sculpture.

上記の理由から、シベリウスにそっくりの巨大な顔になったのだと思えます。
抽象作品なのに、顔だけ具象なので、違和感がかなりあります。
まあ、これが大人の事情ということですか？
エイラ＝ヒルトゥネンはどんな気持ちで作ったのでしょう？

私は彼女の投げやりな気持ちが多少感じられます。
または彼女の努力が感じられます。

(観光客が多くて、ここではRなしの写真が撮影できませんでした)

Sibelius Portrait Sculptor 
Because of the reason above, I think it became very similar to a huge Sibelius face.

This work is abstract art, however, only the face is representational, 
so it has quite feeling of wrongness.
Well, is this a 'grown-up situation' or none of our business?
I wonder how she felt when she made this?
I feel her being a little haphazard.
Or I feel her efforts.

(Here was too many tourists, so I could not photograph without R.)

ジャン・シベリウス / Jean Sibelius

㊵ 2017年7月26~28日 ヘルシンキ旅行 - 部屋での食事 / Helsinki Trip - Dinner in Our Room 28th of July, 2017

ストックマン百貨店のスーパーマーケットとデリカ・テッセンへ行きました。

I went to the supermarket and delicatessen of Stockmann.

フィンランドの方はクリーム味が好きと聞いていました。
なるほど、クリーム系の惣菜がとても多い！

I heard Finns like creamy tastes.
Indeed, a lot of choices look creamy.

海藻サラダがここにもありました。
私は、'小魚(ニシン)のソテー'がレストランで食べられませんでした。
ハカニエミ・マーケットホールのデリカテッセンの
'シラッカ' (バルト海のニシン : タイセイヨウニシンより小さい) を
炒め揚げた(ソテー) 'シラッカピフヴィ / Silakkapihvi 'も食べられませんでした。
そこでの代用品である小魚のソテーは美味しくりありませんでした。
諦めきれず、ここで、'シラッカ' に似た、生の小魚を買いました。

Here is 'Seaweed Salad', too. I hadn't eaten small sauteed herring in a restaurant.
I hadn't eaten 'Silakkapihvi' in Hakaniemi Market Hall, either.
('Silakka's Saute', 'Silakka' is a type of herring from the Baltic sea 
which is smaller than Atlantic herring)
I ate a substitute fish in the Hall, although it was not good.
I could not give up about the  'Silakka',
 so I bought fresh fish which is similar to 'Silakka' here.

オランダ産
スーパーマーケットで食用のほうずきを見つけて買いました。
ヨーロッパでは普通に食べられていました。
ここ最近、日本でも食べらる機会が増えてきました。

From Holland
I found edible Houzuki : Physalis Alkekengi in the supermarket
and bought it.
Normally Houzuki has been available in Europe.
Recently in Japan, the chances of eating them have been increasing.

ヘルシンキでの最後の夕食
自分でソテーした小魚、塩がなくレモン汁のみで食べましたが
美味しかった！やっと満足しました(笑)。
ザリガニも、夏がシーズンと聞いていたので買ってみました。
こちらはすでに調理済みです。
ほうずきは食べ放題...でもゴールデングリーンさんのほうずきの方が
ずっと美味しい！

The Last Dinner in Helsinki
I sauteed the fish, I did not have salt, so it was only with lemon juice,
though it was delicious! Finally I was satisfied (laugh).
I heard that the season for crayfish is in summer, so I bought them.
They were already cooked.
I could eat as much Houzuki as I wanted...
though Houzeuki from "Golden Green" are much better!
