3月19日にGalerie412のChizukaさんと木版画家のKちゃん、額装会社ワーカーズのKさんと私で作品を選び、ギャラリーでの展示の打ち合わせをしました。
その時に、窓際の壁にリングを展示することに決めました。
搬入日に、不思議なことに、一つ一つのリングの位置を壁が教えてくれるように迷いなく決められました。

| 初日 / First Day |
In selecting which works to exhibit, I was helped by Chizuka of Galerie412, K chan a woodcut artist and K san of the framing company Wakers and we also talked about how to arrange the exhibition in the Gallery.
At that time, we decided rings would be displayed on the wall above window.
Curiously, the wall seemed to tell me the position of each ring, I decided without hesitation on the installation day.

"舷窓 (ゲンソウ) を通して"
外の表参道が海で、ギャラリー内が船内で、リングが舷窓で、という想定のもと、 来場者が想像力を使って、リングの向こうに海を見るという私の願いがありました。 また、光の輪または光の粒の意味も含ませています。
"Through the Porthole"
Under the idea that the gallery was in a ship and that the outside, Omotesando, was the sea,
the rings were the portholes ; my wish was that the visitors used their imagination to look at the sea through the rings.
I also would like this work to show rings or grains of light.

船窓
この作品のみ、船窓を具体的に喚起させるドットを入れています。 ちょっと宇宙船の窓にも見えますね？ Porthole
Just in this work, I put dots to evoke a Porthole specifically.
It looks a bit like the window of a spaceship doesn't it?

リングの作品 : "舷窓を通して" の一つを最初に買ってくれたのは、高校生の男の子でした。
彼は東京に就活に来ていて、以前から興味があったGalerie412に、友人と一緒に寄ったのです。
Galerie412に入ったのも初めてで、アーティスト (僭越ながら私です) と話をするものも初めてであるそうです。
驚くことに、彼は水産高校生で、通信コースで勉強している子でした。
このリング作品の想定を知らない時に、彼はすでに購入を申し出ていました。
私は、水産高校生と聞いて、興奮しつつ、リングの想定を話しました。
この巡り合わせに、ギャラリースタッフもRも私もちょっと興奮！
その上、彼の名前は "青空" (アオゾラ) くんでした！素敵！
私のリングが彼の就活や将来を良い方へ導くお守りのようになってくれたらいいなと思います。(青空くん、就職決まりましたか？）
その後、この話を来場者にすると、結構、多くの方がリングを購入してくださいました。
最後に、ギャラリーも複数、買い上げてくださいました。

He came job hunting in Tokyo and came to Galerie412 with his friend, as before he had been interested in the gallery.
This was the first time he entered Galerie412, and also the first time he talked to an artist (me).
Astonishingly, he was in a "Fishers High School" and was studying telecommunications.
He had already offered to buy one ring before he knew the ideas of this ring work.
When I heard that he was a student in a "Fishers High School" I talked excitedly about the ring ideas.

At this coincidence, R and I and both the gallery staff had a little excitement!
Moreover, his name is Aozora : Blue Sky! in Japanese. Lovely!
I hope that my ring will be like an amulet that will guide him in his career and future.

Then, when I told visitors this story, a few people bought rings.
On the last day, the Gallery purchased several rings.

| "光の輪" 庭で撮影しました。 磁器ですので、薄く、軽く作れます。 なので、こんな細い枝にもかけることができます。 "Light Rings" I photographed in my garden.
Because they are porcelain, they can be made thin and light.
So I can hang them on such thin branches. |
