昨日の天気予報で、関東地方では、今日が雪になると告げられ、交通機関への影響が

懸念されていました。

でも、実際は、1月の時のような積雪にはならず、'みぞれ' ですみました。

1月の雪のセクションは下記。

明日の朝は、道路は凍結しているかもしれませんが、昼頃にはきっと溶けるでしょう。

ほんの少しの雪で右往左往する関東を雪国の方々はどう思っていらっしゃるでしょうか？

2月10日昼前 / Before Noon on 10th of February

Sleet

Yesterday, in the Kanto region, the weather forecast told us it would be snow, and there were concerns about the impact on transportation.

However, in reality, it wasn't snowy like it was in January, it was 'sleet'.

The road may be frozen tomorrow morning, but it will surely melt around noon.

What do people in the snowy country think of the Kanto region, which goes into a panic with just a little snow?

2) デッキの湖 / Lake on the Deck

デッキの湖
みぞれでデッキが大きな水溜まり状態なっています。
木々のレフレクションが湖を思わせます。
綺麗です。

Lake on the Deck
The deck is like a large puddle due to sleet.
The reflection of the trees is reminiscent of a lake.
This is beautiful.

3) 午後のみぞれ / Afternoon Sleet

みぞれが少し強めになりました。

The sleet has become a little heavier.

デッキがうっすらと白くなりましたが、

しばらくすると消えてしまいました。

The deck turned slightly white, but after a while it disappeared.

2022年2月9日個展準備 - リトグラフ工房 / Preparation for My Exhibition - Lithograph Studio, 9th of February, 2022

現在、友人のデザイナー、RieさんにDM制作の依頼をしています。

ラフデザインがいくつかあがってきて、主役は磁器作品ですが、リトグラフ作品も組み込まれています。

大町 (鎌倉市) のリトグラフ工房へ行き、制作は続けています。

今、制作中の作品が完成に近づき、新作を考えています。

新作がDMに使用されることはないけれど、個展全体を考えると、もう少しリトグラフ作品があった方が良いと思っています。

試刷り / Test Printing

Lithograph Studio

Currently, I am asking my designer friend, Rie, to create an Invitation card for my Exhibition.

Some rough designs have come up, and the main character is a porcelain work, but lithograph works are also incorporated.

I go to the lithograph studio in Ōmachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture and continued to make.

The work I'm working on is nearing completion, and I'm thinking of a new one.

The new work will not be used for the Card, but considering the whole exhibition, I think it would be better to have some more lithograph works.

2) 春の萌し/ Spring Sign

A. 工房の庭の梅

Ume : Japanese Plum in Studio Garden

前回の外出で、紅梅やたんぽぽが咲いているところを見ました。

今日は、白梅が見たいな〜と思っていましたら、リトグラフ工房の庭にありました。

そこには紅白揃って咲いていました。

今まで、工房の庭に紅梅があることに気が付きませんでした。

思えば、個展制作をしている冬は、リトグラフ制作は終えていて、

磁器制作に集中していました。

なので、工房の庭の梅が咲くところを見るのは、初めてだったのです。

Red and White Plum Blossoms

Ume : Japanese Plum in Studio Garden

When I went out last time, I saw Kobai : Red Plum: Red Ume and a dandelion in bloom.

Today, I wanted to see Hakubai : White Plum blossoms, one is in the garden of the lithograph studio.

Red and white were all in bloom there.

Until now, I hadn't noticed that there was a red plum in the garden of the workshop.

When I think about it, when I have been working for my exhibition,

I had finished making lithographs and concentrated on making porcelain in the winter.

Therefore, it was the first time to see the plum blossoms in the garden of the studio.

B. 他の大町の庭 / Other Ōmachi Gardens

行きには、気づかなかったのですが、他の家の庭に
白い梅が咲いていました。

On my way to the studio, I hadn't noticed it, but a white plum tree
was blooming in another garden.

ガザニア
ガザニアでしょうか？
ガザニアの別名は、クンショウギク(勲章菊)。
なるほどね〜と納得するネーミングです。
通常4月頃の開花、これは随分早いですね。

Gazania

Is it Gazania?

Another name for Gazania is Kunshogiku (medal chrysanthemum)

in Japan.

Indee~d, it is a convincing name.

It usually blooms around April, but this is quite early.

ヒメジオンか、ハルジオンか？
ヒメジオンか、ハルジオン、いつも見ても戸惑います。
これはヒメジオンです。
ヒメジオンの花びらは、ハルジオンよりも少し幅ひろです。

Erigeron Annuus or Erigeron Philadelphicus?

Erigeron Annuus or Erigeron Philadelphicus, I'm always confused.

This is Erigeron Annuus.

The petals of Erigeron Annuus are a little wider than Erigeron Philadelphicus.

In English, both flower's have another name, Daisy Fleabane.

何の花？ / Which Flower?

C. 鳩のカップル / Pigeon Couple

今回の個展準備から、リトグラフ工房の帰りは、鎌倉駅までバスを利用しています。

私が帰る時間帯には、バスは1時間に2本しかないので、時間が合わなければ、歩きます。

前回までは、鎌倉駅まで歩いてました。

今回は、色々なことを同時進行しているので、往路も帰路も歩くと、体力が持ちません。

今日は、5分ほど大町のバス停でバス待ちをしました。

ベンチがあるので、ボ〜ッとでき、良い一休みになりました。

ボ〜ッとしている間に、電線に鳩を見ました。

すでに電線に止まっている鳩に、もう１羽が近くまできて、電線をよちよちと歩き、先にいた鳩に近づいて行きました。

どうなるのかな〜と見ていると、二羽がピッタリと並びました。

私にとっては珍しい光景で興味が湧きました。

Pigeon Couple

While preparing for this exhibition, I take a bus to Kamakura Station on the way back from the lithograph studio.

By the time I return, there are only two buses per hour, so if the bus time doesn't match, I would walk.

Before previous exhibitions, I had always walked to Kamakura station.

This time, I am doing various things at the same time, so if I walk both on the way out and on the way back, I will not have the strength for my other work.

Today, I waited for the bus at the bus stop in Omachi for about 5 minutes.

There is a bench, so I was able to take a break, without thinking of anything and had a good rest.

While I wasn't there, I saw a pigeon on the cable.

Another pigeon came close to the pigeon that had already stopped on the cable, and walked sideways along the cable, approaching the pigeon that was ahead.

When I was wondering what would happen, the two lined up perfectly.

It was a rare sight for me and I was interested in it.

私にとって、'鳩の仲良しの姿'は珍しいです。
私には、鳩は平和のシンボルよりも、
敵の鳩とは死ぬまで戦う鳥というイメージがあります。

For me, the 'friendship of pigeons' is unusual.

I have the image that a pigeon is a bird that will fight against

the enemy pigeon to the death rather than being a symbol of peace.

春〜！
キスしているように見えますよね？

Spring~!
It looks like they are kissing, right?

私がバスに乗る頃には、二羽ともいなくなっていました。

By the time I got on the bus, both of them were gone.

1) みんなまとめて / Every One Together

我が家の食材は、自宅へ配達してくれるcoopさんを利用しています。

私は料理を計画してからCoopに注文しますが、計画したほど料理ができないことがよくあります。

今日も、前回注文した具材が結構、冷蔵庫に残っていました。

こんなことはよくあり、食材をみんなまとめて料理することが多いです。

ケーク・サレ、チャーハン、サンドイッチなどは食材整理には適した料理です。

今日は、グラタン！

作り置きの野菜スープも入れて焼きました。

こんな過程であったのに、とても美味しくできて、ラッキーでした。

2月8日 / 8th of February

Every One Together

We use a Coop, they deliver the ingredients to our home.

I plan my cooking and then order from the Coop, although often I can not cook as much as I planned.

Again today, ingredients I ordered last time were still in the refrigerator.

This is often the case, and I often cook these ingredients together.

Cake salé, fried rice, sandwiches, etc. are suitable dishes for using up ingredients.

Today is gratin!

I also added some vegetable soup, which I made before, and baked.

Even though it was such a process, it was lucky we really enjoyed it.

2) 鉢植えの花々 / Potted Flowers

2月9日は、リトグラフ工房へ行く日でした。

外へ出かけついでに、庭の鉢植えの撮影をしました。

下の写真は、全てこの日に撮影しました。

冬の庭の主役
葉牡丹は冬の庭の主役です。
人にとって葉牡丹は観賞用ですが、鳥やリスは食べに来ます。

Protagonist of Garden in Winter
Ornamental Kale is the main protagonist of the winter garden.
For humans, Ornamental Kale is ornamental,
but birds and squirrels come to eat.

Potted Flowers

9th of February was a day to go to the lithograph studio.

While I was outside, I took pictures of potted plant in our garden.

All the pictures below were taken on this day.

寄せ植え

葉牡丹、ミニシクラメン、紫のアネモネの寄せ植えの鉢が

一番好きです。

私が撮影をサボっていたので、最も素敵な時期の写真は

残せませんでした。

Group Planting

I like the pot planted with ornamental Kale, mini cyclamen,

and purple anemone the most.

I skipped photographing it,

so I couldn't have a photograph of its best time.

葉牡丹は、色々な種類があります。
その形状は、とても面白いです。

There are various types of ornamental kale.
Their shapes are very interesting.

キャンドルを思わせるミニシクラメン
Mini Cyclamen Reminiscent of Candles

新旧交代の時期が来ています。
葉の中にいくつかの蕾があります。

It's time to change old and new.
There are some buds among the leaves.

嬉しい驚き

昨年から、ミニバラが何度も咲きました。

この時期なのに、複数の花が咲いています。

Happy Surprise

Since last year, mini roses have bloomed many times.

Even though it is this time of year, a few flowers are in bloom.

ようやく！
オレンジのパンジーは、苗が届いた時から
元気がありませんでした。
他のパンジーは寒い中、元気にたくさん花を咲かせていたのに、
これだけはなかなか花を咲かせませんでした。
ですが、ほら！ようやく咲きました。

Finally!

The orange pansies haven't been well since the seedlings arrived.

The other pansies were in full bloom in the cold,

but only this did not bloom easily.

But you see! It finally bloomed.

3) 'ピグモン' / 'PIGMON'

'ピグモン'
タイトルに、'ピグモン' とつけましたが、
これを理解する人がどれだけいるでしょう？
少なくとも、これを作った夫Rには理解不能なタイトル (笑)。
"ウルトラマン" に登場する、良い小型怪獣 ; '友好珍獣' です。
あなたは、'ピグモン' を知っていますか？

'PIGMON'

I named the title 'PIGMON',

but how many people understand this?

At least, the title is incomprehensible for my husband R

who made this (Laugh).

'PIGMON' is a small good monster from

"Ultraman"; 'Friendly Rare Kaijyu'.

Do you know of 'PIGMON'?

2022年2月4日個展準備 - リトグラフ工房 / Preparation for My Exhibition - Lithograph Studio, 4th of February, 2022

A. サギ / Heron

大町 (鎌倉市) のリトグラフ工房へ行く時は、ほとんどの場合、

滑川 (ナメリガワ) に架かる延命橋を渡ります。

延命橋は、神奈川県道311号鎌倉葉山線上にあり、その道を私もリトグラフ工房へと歩きます。

延命橋から滑川を眺めると、時々サギが見られます。

渡るたびに

「今日はいるかな〜？」

と確認します。

昨年11月以来のサギをこの日(2月4日)に見ました。

サギ、いました〜！

鎌倉には、アオサギ、ダイサギ、コサギなどがいるようですが、

私にはアオサギとコサギがわかる程度です。

これはコサギです。

There is a Heron!

It seems that there are Gray Herons, Great Egrets,

Little Egrets, etc. in Kamakura, but I can only know

Gray Heron and Little Egret.

This is a Little Egret.

Heron

When I go to the lithograph studio in Ōmachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, I almost always cross the Enmei Bridge spanning the Nameri Rive r.

The Bridge is located on the Kamakura Hayama Route and I also walk to the lithograph studio along the road.

When I look at the River from the Bridge, I can sometimes see a heron.

Every time I cross, I confirm "Is it today?"

冬のコサギ
夏のコサギには、2本の長い冠羽 (カンウ) があり、
冬のコサギにはありません。

Little Egret in Winter

Little egrets in summer have two long crests,

which little egrets in winter do not.

Flowers Announcing Spring

紅梅
立派な紅梅が咲き始めています。

Kobai : Red Plum: Red Ume
A splendid Kobai is beginning to bloom.

スイセン
私にとってスイセン (水仙) は春のイメージだったので、
このスイセンが咲いているところを見て
「わ〜！、もう、スイセンが咲いてる〜」
と驚きました。
帰宅後調べてみると、これは
ニホンズイセン (日本水仙) で冬から春に咲くものでした。
でもこれは一般的な日本水仙よりも花びらが長細いです。

Narcissus

For me, Narcissus : Daffodil is an image of spring,

so when I saw this in bloom, I was surprised,

"Wow !, Narcissus is already in bloom."

When I researched it after I got home,

it was a Japanese Narcissus (Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis)

that blooms from winter to spring.

But this one has longer and narrower petals

than a typical Japanese Narcissus.

大町の個人住宅の庭の水仙です。

They are Narcissus in a private house garden in Ōmachi,.

たんぽぽ
道端にたんぽぽが咲いていました。
私は、たんぽぽは、春または夏のイメージがあります。
後で知りましたが、日本在来種のたんぽぽは春に咲き、
外来種(セイヨウタンポポ)は夏に咲来ます。
このたんぽぽは在来種なんですね〜。

Dandelions

Dandelions were blooming on the roadside.

I have an image of dandelions in spring or summer.

As I found later, the Japanese native dandelion blooms in spring,

and the alien species (Taraxacum Officinale) blooms in summer.

This dandelion is a native species, isn't it?

2) リトグラフ工房 / Lithograph Studio

この作品は6版あります。
今日は、4版目を刷りました。

Test Prints

This work used 6 plates.

Today, I printed the 4th plate.

6版の作品ですが、

いくつかは途中の段階で止め、それを完成としました。

Although it is a 6 plates print work,

some were completed with less than 6 plates.

テスト作品
リトグラフのインクの基本となるメディウムをリトグラフとは
違う使い方をしています。
乾燥に非常に時間がかかると後から知りました。
テストは昨年11月に始めたので、現在は3ヶ月目。
表面は乾いています。
リトグラフのY先生は
「きっと中は乾いていない。
1年経っても乾かないかもしれないよ。
早く乾かすなら乾燥剤を混ぜなきゃね」
とのこと。
次回のテストは乾燥剤を調達して混ぜてみようと思います。

Test Work

The medium, which is the basis of lithograph ink,

is used differently from lithograph.

I later found that it would take a very long time to dry.

The test started in last November, so it's now 3 months.

The surface is dry.

Lithograph teacher Y said,

"I'm sure the inside isn't dry. It may not dry even after a year.

If you want to dry quickly, you have to mix a desiccant."

For the next test, I will procure a desiccant and mix it.

自宅の最寄りのバス停近くに、'草花屋・苔丸' さんがあります。
