Rの弟カップル (義妹Eはオーストリア人でウィーン出身) から、食事をする場所として、ナッシュマルクト / Naschmarkt を勧められました。

ナッシュマルクトはウィーンで最も人気がある食品市場です。

ウィーン川  / Vienna (River) / Wien (River) を覆っているウィゼーネ通り / Wienzeileに、1.5kmの長さで広がっています。

偶然にも私達が泊まった'ホテル ・べートーヴェン' / Hotel Beethovenのすぐ近くでした。

ホテルについては下記。

8月31日、ウィーン到着、ホテルにチェックインをした後に、そこへ出かけました。

ナッシュマルクト
ナッシュマルクトはウィーン川 / Vienna (River) / Wien (River)を
暗渠化 ( アンキョカ)した上に広がっています。
ウィーンの語源は'ヴェドニア'という古いケルト語で、意味は ’森の小川’。
語源になった小川がウィーン 川です。

Naschmarkt 
Naschmarkt is on a culvert over Vienna (River) / Wien (River).
Vienna's name has Celtic origins, meaning Forest Stream.
The Stream is Vienna (River).

R's brother, B, and his wife E, who was born in Vienna and is Austrian, recommended

Naschmarkt as outside restaurant.

The Naschmarkt  is Vienna's most popular market.

Located at the Wienzeile over the Wien River, it is about 1.5 km  long.

By chance it is very close to our Hotel Beethoven.

When we arrived Vienna 31st of September, we went to Naschmarkt after check-in at the hotel.

様々なタイプのレストランやカフェもあります。

There are many types of restaurants and cafes.

私達が選んだのは、パブ
Rの食の問題があるので、イタリアンや中華、フレンチなどは危険なので、
通常パブが安全株なのです。
他のレストランに比べ、地元の方が利用しているようでした。

We Selected a Pub.
R has problems about ingredients, so Italian, Chinese and French are difficult 
for us, a pub is usually safe.
This one seems to be used by local people compared with other restaurants.

わ〜い！オーストリア・ビール！ / Hurray! Austrian Beer!

美味しくいただきました！

私はウィーンに４泊している間に、シュニッツェルを2回食べました。

 Wiener Schnitzel

I (we) enjoyed them.

I ate Wiener Schnitzel twice while I stayed four nights in Vienna.

2) 9月4日 /  4th of September 

最終日もナッシュマルクトで食事をしました。

ホテルに荷物をおいて、観光に出て、最後にそれを取りに行って、ウィーン空港に向かうので、ナッシュマルクトはとても便利でした。

滞在中に、複数の地元の方が、ナッシュマルクトの 'テヴァ'  / 'Tewa'を勧めてくれたので、行ってみたいと思ったこともあります。

In the last day, we went to Naschmarkt again.

We left our suit-case in the hotel, went  sightseeing and lastly we picked them up at the hotel and then we went to Vienna Airport, so Naschmarkt was convenient for us.

And also while we stayed in Vienna, some local recommended a cafe restaurant 'Tewa' in Naschmarkt, so we would go there.

もともとは魚市場でああったと聞きました...
I heard originally here was a fish market...

美味しくいただきましたし、店員さんは親切ですし、

Rの食事の問題もクリアーしてくれました。

観光客にはどうかな？

日本にもこれ風のカフェがあるので、

ウィーンで何もここにこなくてもという思いは残りました。

また来てもいいな〜と思う店ではあります。

Tewa

I enjoyed everything, the staff are kind and they had solution of R's problem.

I wonder if here is for tourists?

We do not have to come here if we want to have a taste of Vienna.

 I do not mind if I come here again.

ウィーン空港

私達は、イージージェット / easy-Jet を使用ですが、
オーストリア航空機を記念に撮影しました。
とても楽しいウィーン旅行でした。
アートも音楽も、食事も満足の旅。
また行きたいです。
ありがとう〜！ウィーン！

Vienna Airport 
Our flight was easy-Jet, 

although I photographed Austrian aeroplane as my memory.
It was a very good Vienna Trip.
Art, music and food made me happy.
I would visit there again!

ベルヴェデーレ宮殿の上宮のカフェ、'メナジェリー' / 'Menagerie' (★)で一休みしました。

We had a rest time at 'Menagerie' (★) in Upper Belvedere.

私達にしては珍しく、屋外の席を選びました。
 Unusually for us we selected a table outside.

Rは、チョコレートケーキとカフェ・ラテ
  R has a piece of chocolate cake with cafe latte.

私は相変わらず、カフェでビールを飲んでおります。
I has a beer in a cafe us usual.

メニューに'クリムトの朝食'を見つけました。
朝からケーキつき！

I found 'Klimt breakfast' on their menu.
It includes a cake in the morning! 

2) 新しい現代美術館、 "21er Haus"

現代美術館、 "21er Haus" がベルヴェデーレ宮殿の一角として、2011年に開設されました。

ベルヴェデーレ宮殿の正門を出て、南に (地図上は右へ) 行くと、 "21er Haus" があります。

Museum of Contemporary Art, "21er Haus"  is a part of "The Belvedere" and was opened in 2011.

We go out from the main gate and go towards to the South  (the Right on the map) and then we see "21er Haus".





B. 建物 / Building

入り口 / Entrance

建物は、元は、カール・シュヴァンツア /  Karl Schwanzer (1918 - 1975) によって1958年のブリュッセル万国博覧会のためのオーストリア・パビリオンとして建てられました。

1962年に、移築され、'ウィーン20世紀美術館'として開館しました。

また、その建物は1979年から2001年まで現代美術作品の倉庫としても活用されました。

ベルヴェデーレ宮殿へ移された後に、
アドルフ・クリシャニッツ /  Adolf Krischanitz (1946 - )と彼の教え子によって再構築されて、 "21er Haus" として、2011年にオープンしたのです。

何度も、再生しているのですね。

Building

The building was originally designed by Karl Schwanzer as the Austrian Pavilion for the 1958 Brussels World Expo. 

In 1962 it was adapted and opened as a museum of twentieth-century art in Vienna.

And also it acted as a depository for contemporary art works from 1979 to 2001.

After being transferred to the Belvedere, it was remodelled and adapted by 
Adolf Krischanitz , a student of Schwanzer, and opened in November 2011 as the 21er Haus, a new museum of contemporary art.

It has many lives times , doesn't it?

屋外 (庭含む) 見学の時間に間に合いませんでした。

残念！

We did not catch the opening time for outside including the garden. 

That't too bad!

58年万博のオーストリアのパビリオンのバックにある建造物 (オブジェ) と

似通っています。いますよね？

This is similar to an objet (building) 

behind the Austrian Pavilion, 1958 World Expo. 

It is, isn't it? 

C. 作品 /  Works

現代美術は好きですが、そんなに足しげく現代美術の展覧会に足を運んでいるわけでもありません。

東京都現代美術館に年に一度か二度ほど行きます。

いつも楽しい！

美しい形が私は好きなので、東京都現代美術館が選択する作品は、それに叶うものが多く、そして新しい何かを得ることができ、心が満たされます。

ですが、最近、形も、思考もコンピューターなくしては成り立たないような作品ばかりにも感じます。

世の中の流れがそうなっているのですから、現代アート作品としては仕方がない現象なのだとは理解します。

たとえ、コンピューターが関連したとしても、そこに人の手のぬくもりや心が感じられると良いな〜と勝手に願うのです。

どの作品も誰かの作品であるので、必ず、人というものは、形にしても思考にしても作品内に存在しているとは思いますので、'私の感じられる'人の手のぬくもりや心と言うべきでしょうか。

要するに、'好み'の問題なのかもしれません。

 "21er Haus" で見た作品群は、私の願いに近いものが多かったと感じています。

建物は箱形、コンテナ風ですが、中身は人間らしさがあったと思います。

蛇足ですが、東京都現代美術館は、近いうちに、目先の効く学芸員が、コンピューター離れしている現代アート作品を見つけてくるのではないかと推測します。

Works

I like contemporary art, although I do not go to contemporary art exhibitions frequently. 

I go to the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo about once or twice in a year. 

Always Fun! 

I like beautiful form and then they usually select works which suit my taste and I get new somethings, so my heart is fulfilled by the works. 

However, nowadays most of their form and thoughts or ideas cannot stand without computer. 

I understand that our society actually is like that, so the phenomenon cannot be helped as it is contemporary art work. 

Even though a work is in relation to computer I myself hope that the work has warmth and heart of human. 

In my view every work is somebody's work so that certainly something human exists in works in whatever form or idea, so I should say that I feel human's heart and warmth of human. 

To sum up, what you like may be a matter of 'preference'. 

I feel I looked at the group of works in "21er Haus" many of which are my favourite type. 

The building is box form or container-like, however, their contents have humanity.

Footnote, I guess that Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo will have a curator who has foresight and who might find contemporary art not using a computer soon.

3) 環境 / Environment

The neighborhood is under development...

落書き (グラフィティ)
落書き (グラフィティ) は誘導されたものなのか、作品を貶めているのか、
最初からあったものなのか....
私としては落書きは作品の一部で、最初からあったものだと思います。

Graffiti
Does the work lead somebody to Graffiti? or
Does the Graffiti denigrate the work? or
Has Graffiti been on the work since the beginning?
In my view Graffiti is part of the work so was there originally.

ヘーゼルナッツ
ヘーゼルナッツが木に実っているのを初めて見ました。
ヘーゼルナッツはセイヨウハシバミ、日本のハシバミとはちょっと違う。

Hazelnut 
It was first time I saw hazelnuts on a tree.
Japanese Hazel (Asian hazel / Corylus heterophylla) is a little different from this.

新しい駅を建設中...地下鉄でしょうか？
They are making a new station...Is it underground?

ヨットのオブジェが落ちそうに配置されています。
There is a yacht objet, looks about to fall.
