Adam's Garden (Left Bottom on Map)

2017年に27歳の若さで亡くなった庭師、

アダム・グレートヘッド/ Adam Greathead 氏に捧げられる庭です。

According to their website : ★

"There are many new borders being planned; a new area ‘Adam’s Garden’

is being developed and is dedicated to the memory of

John’s former head gardener Adam Greathead who died aged 27 in 2017."

ゲートの先は、"The Forest Garden (森の庭)" : Map ⓫

ゲートのこちら側が、"アダムズ・ガーデン"。

アダムズ・ガーデンは、制作途中のようでした。

Behind the gate is "The Forest Garden": Map ⓫ .

This side of the gate is "Adam's Garden".

Adam's Garden seemed to be in the process of being made.

アダムズガーデンのゲートには

木彫のフクロウが設置されています。

でも顔は、"森の庭"'(Map⓫)に向けらているので

森の庭のためのものかもしれません？

アダムズ・ガーデンの敷地内で、フクロウを保護するイベントが行われていました。

An event to promote the protection of owls was taking place in the Garden.

Rと友人、Jが体験しました。

二人とも嬉しそうでした。

それぞれの植物の名前をリサーチするのが苦で、
訳することを省きます。すみません。

アダムズ・ガーデンからのアクセス
森に入ってゆく雰囲気があります。

この部分は、日陰が好きな植物が集められているように思います。

野草という部類なのかもしれません。

なぜか、この手の植物が好きです。

They may be a kind of wild grass.

マドンナ・リリー？

'マドンナ' は聖母マリアの意味、歌手のマドンナではありませんよ(笑)。
宗教画に描かれているユリはほぼこの"マドンナ・リリー"であるそうです。

Madonna Lily?

'Madonna' means Virgin Mary, not singer Madonna (Laugh).
The lily depicted in religious paintings is almost "Madonna Lily".

あまりにリアルで庭ではわからず、オブジェというのは写真で確認しました。
英国留学時の大家さん、トニーがオニナベナのドライフラワーを
部屋に飾っていました。
それで、私はオニナベナを知りました。
オニナベナを見るといつもトニーを思い出します。

Teasel Sculpture by Neil Lossock
It is so real that I didn't notice the sculpture in the garden,
I understood it with the photograph.
Tony, a landlord at the time of my studying abroad in Britain,
displayed dried flowers of Teasel in his room.
So I knew Teasel.
When I see Teasel, I always remember Tony.
