絵本『りんごかもしれない』
読んでみたいなと思い、鎌倉図書館で、予約しました。
すぐにではありませんでしたが、何ヶ月も待つこともなく、借りることができました。
英語版でもすでに出版され、シリーズ化までされていました。

Somehow, the picture book "It Might Be An Apple",
★ only in Japanese] was introduced to me.
I thought I'd like to read it, so I made a reservation at the Kamakura library.
It wasn't right away, but I was able to get one without waiting months.
The English version has already been published and even made into a series.

既成概念を超える思考、想像を喚起する絵本だと思いました。
ヨシタケ シンスケさんという絵本作家を初めて知りました。
彼は、いくつもの賞を獲得し、2022年6月時点で、出版した絵本の
累計発行部数は約600万部に達し、10か国以上での翻訳出版されています。
絵本作家として、大成功されています。
彼の発想は、万国共通であるからだと推測します。
そのシンプルの描写と発想は、ピクトグラムと似ていると感じます。
ディック・ブルーナ (1927 - 2017) のナインチェ・プラウス
(ミッフィー) シリーズのインテリジェント版という印象を持ちました。

I thought it was a picture book that evokes thoughts and imagination that transcend preconceived notions.
It was first time I found Shinsuke Yoshitake as a picture book author.
He has won numerous awards, and as of June 2022, the cumulative circulation of his published picture books has reached approximately 6 million copies and has been translated and published in over 10 countries.
He has been very successful as a picture book author.
I guess it's because his ideas are universal.
In my view that the simple depictions and ideas are similar to pictograms.
I have the impression that this is an intelligent version of Miffy
by Dick Bruna (1927 - 2017) series.

日本の絵本作家が、世界に紹介されて知られてゆくことは喜ばしいことだと思います。
