1) 秘密の道 / Secret Path
七里ガ浜住宅街と鎌倉山住宅街の間には、高低差があり、そこを行き来するには、坂もしくは階段を使用しなければなりません。
我が家から最も最短のルートの坂を私は '秘密の道' と呼んでいます。
地元民の何人かは使用していますが、その数はそれほど多くなないでしょう。
夫Rと地元の中学生の男の子が最も使用しているように思います。
There is a height difference between the Shichirigahama residential area and the Kamakurayama residential area, and you must use a slope or stairs to go back and forth there.
We call the slope on the shortest route from my house the 'secret road'.
It's used by some of the locals, but not so many.
I think my husband R and a local junior high school boy use it the most.

| 緑地部分が住宅地用として開発され、 徐々に整備されてきています。 The green area has been developed for residential areas and is gradually being improved.  鬱蒼と茂っていた木々や雑草が刈られ、 見通しがよくなっていました。 The dense trees and weeds were cut and the outlook was better.  |

| スイカズラ この坂道上にスイカズラがあります。 Rはこの花とその香りが大好きで、 ここで花を見つける度に喜びます。 Honeysuckle There is Honeysuckle on this slope. R loves this flower and its scent and is delighted every time he finds one here. |

| 小さな一角 道路に面し、駐車場脇にある小さな一角。 ですが工夫されている様子が感じられます。 Small Corner A small corner facing the road and beside a carpark. However, I can feel that it has been carefully thought out. |

| 相模湾 通路先には相模湾が見えます。 Sagami Bay You can see Sagami Bay at the end of the passage. |
B. 自庭 / Our Garden

| ジャイアントホスタ このジャイアントホスタは、英国から本帰国後、 鎌倉で購入しました。 最初に住んだ二階堂に植えましたが、 引っ越しした現在の住まいの庭に植え替えました。 環境としては二階堂の方があっていたように感じます。 毎年、大きな美しい葉をつけてくれるとホッとします。 Giant Hosta I bought this giant hosta in Kamakura after returning from Britain. I planted it in the Nikaido garden where we first lived, but I replanted it in the garden of our current residence when we moved. As for its environment, I feel that Nikaido was better. I feel relieved to have big beautiful leaves every year.  個展に集中していたので、今年の育ち具合を 見ていませんでした。 今日、ああ、元気に育っていると気がつきました。 I had been concentrating on my exhibition, so I didn't see how this grew up this year. Today, I realized that it is growing up well. |

| 紫蘭 紫蘭 (シラン) とも年数的には、ジャイアントホスタと同じくらい 一緒に過ごしています。 ただし、このシランは、母の庭からやってきました。 紫蘭は二階堂よりもここの方があっているようです。 Hyacinth Orchid : Shiran In terms of years, I have had the Hyacinth Orchid for as long as the Giant Hosta. However, this Hyacinth Orchid came from my mother's garden. This seems to be better here than in Nikaido. |

| クスダマツメグサ 昨年、クスダマツメグサ(薬玉詰草)の苗をいくつか買い、 Rがここに1つ植えました。 今年、こんなふうに咲いてくれて嬉しい！ Hop Trefoil Last year I bought some seedlings of Hop Trefoil and R planted one here. I'm glad that it blooms like this this year! |

| フリージア フリージアの最盛期に撮影できませんでした。 この写真は、前日の雨でフリージアが倒れてしまった様子です。 Freesia I couldn't photograph at the peak of freesia. This photograph shows the freesia collapsed due to the rain the day before. |

| ミニシクラメン 冬から今まで可愛く咲いています。 その可愛さをあまり愛でることができなかった今春。 頑張って咲いてくれてありがとう！ Mini Cyclamen It has been in full bloom since winter. This spring I couldn't really enjoy the cuteness. Thank you for your hard work and blooming! |

| 他の花々 他の花々もミニシクラメンと同様でした。 冬の庭用に買ったスミレたちは、春の方がやっぱり好きな様子です。 こんなに咲いてくれていたのに、 目に留めることも撮影もあまりしませんでした。 みんな、元気で、ありがとう！ Other Flowers Other flowers were similar to Mini Cyclamen. The violets I bought for the winter garden seem to like spring better. Even though it was blooming like this I didn't really notice or photograph. Every one is fine and thank you! |

| ブルーベリー Rが庭の中で最も好きな植物です。 いつの間にか、ブルーベリーがたくさんの花を つけていました。 ブルーベリーが実をつける頃、彼は英国にいるでしょう。 実は冷凍かジャムにして彼に残しましょう！ Blueberry This plant is R's most favourite in the garden. Before I knew it, blueberries had a lot of flowers. By the time the blueberries bear fruit, he will be in Britain. Let's freeze or jam the fruit and leave them for him! |

| 柿の新芽 柿が病気になり、数年治療をしました。 少しは良くなりましたが、周囲の植物に影響が出始めたので 泣く泣く冬に切りました。 新芽が出てきて嬉しい。 病気から回復していることを願っています。 Persimmon Sprouts The persimmon became ill and I treated it for several years. It improved a little, but it started to affect the surrounding plants, so tearfully we had it cut in the winter. I'm glad that the shoots are coming out. I hope it has recovered from its illness. |

| モッコウバラ モッコウバラ (木香茨 / 木香薔薇) が今までで一番花を 咲かせています。 Lady Banks' Rose Lady Banks' Rose (Rosa Banksiae / Banks' Rose) is blooming with the most flowers ever. |
