㉕ 2022年9月9日 金沢旅行 - ギャラリートネリコと野田屋茶店/ Kanazawa Trip - Gallery Toneriko and Nodaya Tea Shop, 9th of September, 2022

1) ギャラリートネリコ / Gallery Tonellico
金沢在住の友人SちゃんとKAMU Kanazawaのアートめぐりの途中で、ギャラリーに寄りました。

歩道を歩いているときに、目が止まった、バックのディスプレイがあり、それに惹かれて中へ入りました。

最初は、バックのお店かと思いましたが、ギャラリーでした。

ギャラリーの名前は、"ギャラリートネリコ" / "Gallery Tonellico" でした。
この展示に惹かれました。
I was fascinated by this display.
Gallery Tonellico
During the art tour of KAMU Kanazawa, my friend S Chan, who lives in Kanazawa, and I stopped by a gallery.

When we were walking along the pavement, there was a display of bags that caught my eye, and I was attracted by it and went inside.

At first, I thought it was a bag shop, but it turned out to be a gallery.

The name of the gallery was "Gallery Tonellico".

DMにも使用されていました。

The three bags in the window display were also used
for their invitation card.



もとは町屋
清楚な雰囲気があるギャラリーです。
展示作品が生かされますね。
築90年の町屋 (マチヤ)を使用しています。
そう聞くと、柱などの位置に納得がゆきます。
素敵にリフォームしていますね。

Originally Machiya
The gallery has a clean atmosphere.
It shows exhibited works to advantage.
They are using a 90-year-old Machiya : townhouse.
The remodeling was lovely, wasn't it?


花と花瓶
ギャラリーの雰囲気にあっています。

Flowers and Vase
They match the atmosphere of the gallery.

バックも素敵で、もう少しで購入しそうでした。
ですが、ちょっと細部が気になって購入は控えました。

The bags are lovely and I might buy one.
However, I was a little worried about the details
 and refrained from purchasing.
2階には、'トネリコの枝'という違う会場 (ギャラリー) があります。

私達が訪ねた日は、2階は使用されていなかったと思います。

私は2階は見ていませんが、黒を基調にした"古い町屋を改装した、趣のある和の空間" (ギャラリーのサイトより)のようです。

下の画像はギャラリーのサイトから借りました。

白いギャラリーと2階が全く別の雰囲気になっていることに驚きます。

今回の金沢旅行で、金沢は、現代アートを受け入れる基盤と歴史あるものを維持していける基盤の両方があるな〜と思いました。

その両極が、このギャラリーでも推進されているように感じます。
'トネリコの枝' / 'Tonellico Branch'

There is a different venue (gallery) :'Tonellico Branch' on the first floor.

I think it was not used when we visited.

I haven't seen the first floor, but it seems to be a "quaint Japanese space refurbished from Michiya" (according to the gallery site) based on black.

The image above is borrowed from the gallery site.

I am surprised that the white gallery and the first floor each have a completely different atmosphere.

During my trip to Kanazawa this time, I felt that Kanazawa has both 
a foundation for accepting contemporary art and a foundation for maintaining historical things.

I feel that these two extremes are being promoted in this gallery as well.




2) 野田屋茶店 / Noda Japanese Cafe
野田屋茶店は、創業1859年の老舗のお茶屋さんであり、喫茶店
(カフェ)です。

加賀棒茶 (カガボウチャ)は、'丸八製茶葉場' (マルハチセイチャジョウ)だけの製品かと思っていましたら、各お茶屋さんで作っているのだと知りました。

また、棒は、茶の茎であり、茎茶は全国的に作られているそうです。

焙煎を石川県、または金沢市ですることによって、'加賀'の名が加えられ、加賀棒茶として販売されています。

加賀棒茶は、野田屋茶店でも売られています。

Noda Japanese Cafe
Nodaya-chaten is a long-established tea shop and a tea room (Wa Cafe : Japanese Cafe) founded in 1859.

I thought that Kaga-bocha (one of Hōjicha :  'roasted tea') was only made by 'Maruhachi-seichajyō' shop, but I found out that each tea shop makes it own.
('bocha' means stem : kuki of tea)

In addition, the 'bo: 棒' is the tea stem: 茎: kuki, and stem tea: kuki tea is produced nationwide. 

By roasting in Ishikawa prefecture or Kanazawa city, the name 'Kaga' is added and sold as Kaga-bocha.

Kaga-bocha is also sold at Nodaya-chaten.
創業1859年の老舗のお茶屋さんとは思えない雰囲気です。
この雑然としている格式ばらない感じが微笑ましく感じます。

The atmosphere makes it hard to believe that 
this is a long-established tea shop that was founded in 1859.
This cluttered and informal feeling makes me smile.


加賀棒茶のソフトクリーム
Kaga-bocha Ice Cream 
歩き続けたので、ここで、ほっと一息つけました。

旅先でソフトクリームを見かけると、時々食べたくなります。

ここでは、'加賀棒茶パウダー' にも興味を強くもったので、加賀棒茶のソフトクリームを食べました。

寒くなったので (苦笑)、暖かなほうじ茶ラテも追加でいただきました。

どちらも美味しくいただきましたよ！
ほうじ茶ラテ / Hōjicha latte
As we continued walking, we took a breather here.

When I see soft serve ice cream while traveling, I sometimes want to eat it.

I also had a strong interest in 'Kaga-bocha Powder', so I ate Kaga-bocha ice cream.

Since I was getting cold (wry smile), I also had a cup of warm Hōjicha latte.

Both were lovely!

さまざまな食品に使用できます。
自分用にも、お土産として友人用にも買いました。

'Kaga-bocha Powder' can be used

I bought one for myself and as a gift for friends.

1) KAMU Kanazawa
2020年に私設の現代美術館 "カムカナザワ / KAMU Kanazawa" : ★ が開館しました。

金沢市内に6つの展示スペースがあります。

この日、金沢在住の友人SちゃんとKAMU Centreで、チケットを買い、5つのスペースを見てまわりました(下記)。

6つめは、本多公園に展示してあり、そちらは、無料です。

昨日、カムカナザワ の企画と知らずに、二人ですでに見ていました(下記)。

このセクションは、'KAMU tatami' と 'KAMU Black Black' についてです。

私は英国英語の表記でKAMU Centreとしますが、
美術館では米国英語表記のKAMU Centerを用いています。

I use a spelling KAMU Centre in English English, 
but the museum use KAMU Center in American English.
KAMU Kanazawa
In 2020, the private contemporary art museum KAMU Kanazawa
 : ★opened.

There are 6 exhibition spaces in Kanazawa city.

On this day, I bought a ticket at KAMU Centre with my friend 
S Chan who lives in Kanazawa and we went to see 5 spaces, below.

The sixth one is on display in Honda Park, which is free.

Yesterday, without knowing that it was planned by KAMU Kanazawa we had already looked at it, below.

This section is about 'KAMU tatami' and 'KAMU Black Black'.




2) KAMU tatami


'KAMU tatami' 
靴を脱いで畳の部屋で、映像作品を見ました。
なるほど、だから、'KAMU tatami' なのです。

We took off our shoes and watched a video work
 in a tatami room.
Indeed, so that's why it's 'KAMU tatami'.


渡辺 豪 (1975) / Go Watanabe (1975)


"<ひとつの景色>をめぐる旅"
'食器の静物画' がゆっくりと変化し、もとに戻る映像です。

通常映像作品は受け身ですが、この作品は集中力が必要であり、鑑賞しつつ、強制的に思考もさせられました。

音もしくは、音楽がない点も好ましく思いましたし、映像にふさわしい判断かと思いました。

実におもしろい作品で、心が喜びました。

Sちゃんも
「おもしろかたわ〜」
と言っていました。
いまどきの現代美術には珍しく、写真撮影も動画撮影も
禁止されていました。
それは、静かな作品が故に、撮影行為が鑑賞の妨げに
なるからだと思います。

Unusually for contemporary art these days, 
photography and filming were prohibited.
I think it's because the act of filming is a hindrance to appreciation because of the quietness of the work.
" 'one landscape' a journey"
This is a video of a still life of tableware slowly changing and returning to its original state.

Generally video works are passive, but this work requires concentration, and while watching it, I was forced to think.

I also liked the fact that there was no sound or music, and I thought it was a suitable decision for the video.

It was really interesting work and I really enjoyed it.

S Chan also said "I enjoyed it!"




3) KAMU Black Black


最初、白い建物がKAKUかと勘違いしました。
白い建物はギャラリーに見えますよね。
KAMU Black Blackは、右です。

At first, I thought  the white building was KAMU.
The white building looks like a gallery, doesn't it?
However, KAMU Black Black is to the right.

Lithi, 2020

"Lithi" もしくはこれとよく似た作品を以前、ロンドンの
テート・モダン: ★で見た記憶がありました。

2007年に黒川良一は、テートでライブパフォーマンス (Live audio-visual ) を行なっていて、私も2007年にテートを訪れていたので、
彼の作品を見たのだと推測します。

"Lithi"は、KAMU tatami で見た <ひとつの景色>をめぐる旅"と両極にある作品です。

目で受けとめるというよりも、目と耳、そして体全体で受け止める作品です。

外側からの刺激によって、浮世の垢を洗い流すという印象です。

"<ひとつの景色>をめぐる旅"は、自分の中への旅であって、それは
ちょっと仏教的な宇宙への旅のようでした。

"Lithi"も、映像的には、宇宙のイメージを持っています。

双方、おもしろく、好きな作品でした。
写真・動画撮影が許可されていました。
Photographs and videos were allowed.
I remember seeing "Lithi" or something very similar to this before at the Tate Modern : ★ in London.

In 2007, Ryoichi Kurokawa did a live performance (Live audio-visual) in the Tate, and I visited Tate in 2007, so I guess I saw his work.

"Lithi" is a work that is at the opposite end of the spectrum from 
" 'one landscape' a journey", in KAMU tatami.

This is a work that is received with the eyes, ears, and the whole body rather than just with the eyes.

This gives an impression that we can forget all our worldly cares by new stimulus from outside.

" 'one landscape' a journey" was a journey into myself, a bit like a Buddhist journey into space.

Visually, "Lithi" also has an image of space.

They were both fun and I liked them.
i-phoneのバッテリーが心配で長回しできず、
作品の良さを捉えることができませんでした。
いらいらさせてしまう動画かもしれませんが
ご興味があればご覧ください。

I was worried about the battery of my i-phone, 
so I couldn't video for a long time, 
and I couldn't catch the quality of the work.
It may be frustrating videos, but if you are interested, 
please watch them.

4) 総合して/ Overall
総合して、予想を超える感動を与えてもらいました。

アーティストの選択、それぞれの作品に適した展示、鑑賞者の楽しさや理解を考慮して、鑑賞者に沿う形の展覧会を作っていると感じました。

アートと、金沢の今と歴史を感じつつ、楽しめるコースです。

そのアイディアに新しさを感じ、刺激も受けました。

館長は、林田 堅太郎 (ハヤシダ ケンタロウ / 1987 ~)氏で、オーナーでもあります。

彼はまだ若いですね〜。

私設の美術館を作ろうとし、現実化し、成功し(と感じます)、これから、展示スペースも増やす計画を持っていると聞きました。

素晴らしいな〜〜〜！

金沢は歴史があり、現代アートありの素敵な魅力的な街です。

KAMU Kanazawaもその街に貢献する形で、発展してゆくように感じますし、そうなるように願っています。

KAMU Kanazawaをとても楽しませていただきました。

Overall
Overall, I was impressed beyond my expectations.

I felt that the exhibitions were created in ways that would suit the viewers, taking into consideration the selection of artists, the appropriate display for each work, and the enjoyment and understanding of the viewers.

It is a course that we can enjoy while feeling the art, and the present and history of Kanazawa.

The idea was new and inspired me.

The director is Kentaro Hayashida (1987 ~), who is also the owner.

He's still young.

He tried to create the private art museum, made it a reality, succeeded (I think), and I heard he has plans to increase the exhibition space in the future.

Amazing ~~~!

Kanazawa is a lovely and charming city with history and contemporary art.

I feel that KAMU Kanazawa will also develop in a way that contributes to the city, and I hope so.

I enjoyed KAMU Kanazawa very much.

Thank you very much.

1) 森山 大道 / Daidō Moriyama
2020年に私設の現代美術館"カムカナザワ /  KAMU Kanazawa"
 : ★ が開館しました。

金沢市内に6つの展示スペースがあります(下記)。

金沢在住の友人SちゃんとKAMU Centreで、チケットを買い、展示を見て歩きました。

このセクションは、KAMU L に於ける、写真家・ 
森山 大道 (モリヤマダイドウ / 1938 ~ ) 作品； Lip Bar についてです。

私は、森山大道を知りませんでした。

彼は、知る知る人ぞ知る写真家で、2019年、写真界のノーベル賞、第39回ハッセルブラッド国際写真賞受賞していました。

森山大道の写真の特徴は、'アレ・ブレ・ボケ' と知られていると、今回知りました。

また、'モノクロのストリート写真' もよく知られた彼の造形作品だそうです。

'アレ・ブレ・ボケ' の写真は、彼が被写体を捉える鋭い視線、感覚から生み出される結果なのだと推測します。

彼の作品を 'Lip Bar' しか知らず、表面的にリサーチした私がなんやかんや書くのも気がひけますが...、それを言い出すとすべてに関してなので、書くのをやめるわけにもゆきません。

'彼の年'に触れてちょっと申し訳ないけれど、84歳を超えて、なお、新作を生み出すそのパワーとセンス、活動を敬わないわけにはゆきません。

Daidō Moriyama
In 2020, the private contemporary art museum "KAMU Kanazawa"

There are 6 exhibition spaces in Kanazawa city, below.

I bought a ticket at KAMU Center with  S Chan, my friend who lives in Kanazawa, and walked around looking at the exhibition.

This section is about the work : "Lip Bar" by a photographer, Daidō Moriyama (1938 ~ ) in KAMU L. 

I found this time that the feature of Daidō Moriyama's photographs is known as 'Are・ Bure・Boke' in Japanese : 'Grained Textures, Blurred, Wandering'.

He is also known for his formative 'monochrome street photography'.

It is surmised that the photographs of 'Are・ Bure・ Boke' are the result of the sharp gaze and sensation with which he captures the subject.

I only know his work 'Lip Bar', and I've researched superficially, so I'm reluctant to write about it...but when I say it, it's all about everything, so I can't stop writing, right?

I'm sorry to mention 'his age', but I can't help but respect his power, sense, and activities to create new works, even though he's over 
84 years old.



2) 'とうりゃんせ' / 'Tōryanse'
KAMU Lは、 'とうりゃんせ' の中にあります。
 'とうりゃんせ'の正式名は、
 'とうりゃんせ' KANAZAWA FOODLABO'
です。 

KAMU L is located in 'Tōryanse '.
The official name of 'Tōryanse'  is
 'Toryanse' KANAZAWA FOODLABO'.

'とうりゃんせ' の意味は、単なる童歌に加えて、'帰りは怖い' という歌詞をどう捉えるかで、複雑化します。

'とうりゃんせ' KANAZAWA FOODLABO' では、帰宅時には酔っ払っているので、何がおこるかわかりませんよという、ジョークめいた
意味合いがあると思われます。

上手にネーミングしているな〜と感心します。
'とうりゃんせ'
こんなところに展示が？と疑いました。
提灯の 'とうりゃんせ' に促されて通ります。

 'Tōryanse'
Is there an exhibition in a place like this?
 I doubted.
This lantern says 'Tōryanse ; You may go in '
 which pressed me(us) and then we did.
'Tōryanse'
 According to Wiki about 'Tōryanse, 
"Tōryanse" is the name of the traditional Japanese children's tune (warabe uta). 
It is a common choice for music played by traffic lights in Japan when it is safe to cross. "

The meaning of 'Tōryanse' is complicated depending on how you perceive the lyrics 'returning is scary' in addition to being a mere nursery rhyme.

Lyrics in Romaji,
"Iki wa yoi yoi, kaeri wa kowai"
↓Translation (From Wiki)
"Going in is easy, but returning is scary."

In 'Tōryanse' ' KANAZAWA FOODLABO', it seems to have a joke-like meaning that you don't know what will happen because you are drunk when you get home.

I'm impressed that they were good at naming.




3) LIP BAR
魅力的なドア
まずは、本物のバーであることに驚きました。
屋内の様子とのコントラストがあり、
入室 (入店) 後の驚きが増すようになっています。

Attractive Door
First of all, I was surprised that it is a real bar.
There is a contrast between the door and the inside,
 the surprise after entering the room
 (entering the bar) increases.


バーが会場になる点は、私設である強みだ
と思います。

I think the advantage of being a private facility
is that the bar is the venue.


わ〜！すごい！
WOW! Great!
リップの背景にあたる黒の部分が、この写真家の特徴である、'アレ'：高温現像による粒子の荒れ (Wikiより）であり、それがここで良い役割を果たしています。

こんなにリップで囲まれていても、しばらく滞在できるのは、'アレ' のおかげだと思います。

背景が真っ黒であったら...と想像すると、今とその時の居心地感の違いがわかります。

また、リップというセクシーなモチーフを用いながら、この空間の印象がセクシーさだけでなく、'現代アートの現場' であることが感じられます。
The black background of the lip is the photographer's signature 'Are' : graininess from high temperature development (from Wiki), and it does a good job here.

I think it's thanks to 'Are' that I could stay for a while even though I was surrounded by so many lips.

I imagine that if the background is perfectly black, I would feel the difference in comfort between now and then.

In addition, using a sexy motif, lip, the impression of this space is not only sexy, but also a 'contemporary art scene'.
エアコンもリップに覆われています。
The air conditioner is also covered with lips.
夜になると(20:00すぎでしたでしょうか？）、バーとして営業しているそうです。

チケットを添えると、いくらか安くなると聞きましたが、私達は、夜は、すでに違うお店の予約をしていましたし、そのお店のあとで、ここにくる体力は私にはありませんでした。
I heard that at night (was it after 20:00?),  it is open as a bar.

And also, if we bring tickets, it would be a little cheaper, but we had already made a reservation at a different pub restaurant for the night, and I didn't have the stamina to come here after that pub.
大道ボトル
飲まないけれど、エチケットが、'リップ' なので
撮影だけさせていただきました。
あとで気がつきましたが、エチケットには、
Daidōの名前も入っています。
どんな味なのか、興味はとってもあります。

Daidō Bottle
I didn't drink, but the etiquette is 'lipstick',
 so I only photographed.
As I later found out, the etiquette also includes
Daidō's name.
I am very interested in what it tastes like.


メニューもカウンターのリップに
合わせてあります。

The menu is also aligned with the lip on the counter.



椅子も特注だそうです。
Even the chairs are custom made.


彼女が主役
今日のSちゃんのマスクをふくめた、ファッション、
黒い髪、その髪型が、よくこの場にあっています。

She is the Main Character
Her style today, including the mask, black hair,
and her hairstyle are well suited for this space.
