1) '春' 珈琲とカレンダー 

    'Spring' Coffee and Calendar

実は、'春' 珈琲は、結婚記念日の2月14日に封を開けようと思っていました。

が、その日は機会を逃し、今日、開けました。

'春' 珈琲は、バランスが取れ、スッキリした感じ、軽やかな味でした。

味から、'春' をイメージするのは難しいように思います。

ですが、'春' と言われれば、そうか、この味が春なのだな〜と思うのです (笑)。

珈琲を淹れた場面を撮影し忘れました。

最近になって、近所のカフェ、'惣- common'さんから
カレンダーをいただきました。
ありがとうございました。
鎌倉の建物がスケッチしてある卓上カレンダーです。

'Spring' Coffee and Calendar

Recently, we were given a calendar

 from a nearby cafe,' So-common'.

Thank you.

It is a desk calendar with sketches of buildings in Kamakura.

'Spring' Coffee and Calendar

Actually, I thought about opening 'Spring' Coffee on the 14th of February, our wedding anniversary.

However, we missed the opportunity that day and opened it today.

The 'Spring' Coffee had a well-balanced, refreshing feel and a light taste.

I think it is difficult to imagine 'Spring' from the taste.

However, f you say 'Spring', I think that this taste is spring (Laugh).

I forgot to photograph the scene where coffee was brewed.

4月・'惣- common'
 April・'So-common'

カレンダーには、丁寧に品よく描かれた鎌倉の建物が月別に描かれています。

'惣- common'さんは4月に描かれています。

私の個展と誕生日が4月なので、何となく、嬉しい！

On the calendar, buildings of Kamakura are drawn carefully and elegantly, one for each month.

'So-common' is drawn in April.

My exhibition and birthday are in April, so somehow I'm glad.

2) 庭 / Our Garden

A. 鉢植え / Potted Plants

16:00頃、鉢植えの花を撮影しました。

PCの画面で写真を見ると、いつも同じような花々を選んでいることに気がつきました。

撮影している時には、何となく選んでいるのですが、結果、同じような花を選ぶことになるようです。

鳥が葉牡丹やゼラニウムの葉を食べにきていることは知っていましたし、彼らのお腹の足しになっても構わないと思って放置していました。

けれど、植物の方が、特にゼラニウムが、痛々しい状態になるまで食べられていることに気がつきました。

ゼラニウムは、花の開花前に枯らしてしまいそうです。

鳥たちを追い払うことは、最近、夫Rがすでに始めていました。

彼の気持ちを理解しました。

アネモネ
ピンクと紫のアネモネがあります。
始めてアネモネの苗を買いました。
冬の庭を豪華に飾ってくれたので買ってよかったと思います。

  Anemone
There are pink and purple anemones.
We bought anemone seedlings for the first time.
I'm glad we bought them
because they decorated the winter garden luxuriously.

Potted Plants

Around 16:00, I took a picture of a potted flower.

When I looked at the pictures on my PC screen, I noticed that I always chose similar flowers.

When I photographed, I somehow chose it, but as a result, it seems that I choose similar flowers.

I knew that birds were coming to eat ornamental Kales and a geranium, and I didn't mind if they could fill to their stomachs.

However, I noticed that the plants, especially the geranium, were eaten until they were in a painful state.

(I haven't taken a picture)

The geranium is likely to die before the flowers bloom.

My husband R has already begun to drive away the birds recently.

I understood his feelings.

B. 食いしん坊の鳥たち / Gluttonous Birds

主にヒヨドリ(鵯、白頭鳥)が鉢植えの植物を食べにきます。

3羽のヒヨドリが入れ替わりやってきたところを撮影しています。

撮影は、2月14日です。

庭の様子をうかがってます。
This is watching our garden.

Gluttonous Birds

Bulbuls mainly come to eat potted plants.

I photographed a place visited by three Bulbuls.

The photographs were taken on 14th of February.

リトグラフ工房に到着
最近は、リトグラフ工房の紅白梅の開花の様子を
見るのが楽しみです。

Arrived at Lithograph Studio
Recently, I'm looking forward to seeing the flowering of
 red and white plums in the lithograph studio garden.

ドアにリース
昨年のクリスマス頃には赤い実がリースの中に見られました。
赤い実を取り外したのか、新しいリースなのかはわかりません。
おそらく造花だと思いますが、とても素敵に出来ています。

Wreath on the Door

Around Christmas last year, red fruits were seen in the wreath.

I don't know if they removed the red fruits or if it's a new wreath.

It's probably artificial, but it's very lovely.

2) まりちゃん / Mari Chan

リトグラフ工房では、複数の猫を飼っています。

時々、工房へも猫たちはやってきます。

本日、工房へ向かう途中で、昨年秋からリトグラフ工房へ通い始めてから、一度も猫いたちの写真を撮っていないことに気がつきました。

もしも、今日、猫ちゃんたちを見かけたら写真を撮らせてもらおうと思いました。

ドアを開けると玄関に、猫のまりちゃんがお出迎え？してくれていて、びっくりしました。

何という、偶然。

いつもは玄関にはいないのです。

私が工房のドアを開けると、まりちゃんも一緒に入ってきました。

Mari Chan

In the lithograph studio, they have a few cats.

From time to time, cats also come into the studio.

Today, on my way to the studio, I rialized that I have never taken pictures of their cats since I started going to the lithograph studio last autumn.

If I see cats today, I thought I'd photograph.

When I opened the door, a cat, Mari chan welcomes (?) me at the entrance, so I was surprised that she did it.

What a coincidence!

She is not always at the front door.

When I opened the door of the studio, Mari Chan came in with me.

Y先生の膝の上
まりちゃんが一番スタジオにいる機会が多いです。
Y先生が最も可愛がっている猫です。
昨年からあまり見かけませんでしたが、
2月に入ってからよくきます。

On Y Sensi's Lap

Mari Chan has the most opportunities to be in the studio.

She is the cat that Y Sensei loves most.

I haven't seen her much since last year,

 but in February she has often entered.

最近、ノルウェージャンフォレストキャットという新しい猫がY家の一員になりました。

名前は、ヒイカ、男の子です。

まりちゃんにとって、ヒイカは乱暴者なので、工房へ避難してくるのだそうです。

ヒイカもたまに工房へやってきますが、長くはいません。

まりちゃんはY先生の猫、ヒイカは奥様の猫だと私は思っています。

Recently, a new cat, a Norwegian Forest Cat has become a member of Y family.

The name is Hiika, a boy.

For Mari Chan, Hiika is a violent cat, so she evacuates to the studio.

Hiika sometimes comes to the studio, but he does not stay for long.

I think Mari Chan is Y Sensei's cat and Hiika is his wife's cat.

プレス機のハンドルを嗅いでいます。
よそ者の臭いがするのでしょうか？
ちなみに、この日、この時には、私はまだハンドルには
触っていません。

Mari Chan is sniffing the handle of the press.

Does she smell it like a stranger?

By the way, on this day, at this time, 

I haven't touched the handle yet.

工房の片隅で
まりちゃんの名前は、マリー・アントワネット (1755 -1793)
に由来します。

In a Corner of Studio
Mari Chan's name comes from Marie Antoinette (1755 -1793).

まりちゃんは写真を撮られることがあまり好きではないようです。
ごめん、今日だけ撮らせてね。

Mari Chan doesn't seem to like being photographed very much.

I'm sorry, please let me photograph, only for today.

迷惑そうな顔してますね 。

3) 新作開始 / Start New Series  

今日から新作を刷り出しています。

リトグラフの版の作り方は複数あり、新作の作り方は、版が崩れやすい方法です。

なので、1日にたくさん刷ることができません。

Y先生には

「せいぜい、3, 4枚だね」

と言われましたが、10枚余は刷りました。

試刷り / Test Prints

Start New Series

I started printing a new series from today.

There are multiple ways to make a lithograph plate, and my way I am making the new series using fragile plates.

So I can't print many in a day.

Y Sensei told me,

"At best, it's the 3rd or 4th printing."

although I printed more than 10 sheets.

カラーインクのドローイングの上に刷っています。
この方法は過去に何度か試みています。

They are printed on my colour ink drawings.
I have tried this method several times in the past.

試刷り
上と同じシリーズですが違う版で、色の配色も違います。

Test Prints
They are the same series as above, but a different plate, 
and the colour scheme is also different.

モノクロ
複数の濃淡の違う色で刷っています。

Monochrome
They are printed in a few shades of different colours.

大町バス停で見る月
今日はいつもよりも多く刷りました。
帰りの時間も遅くなりました。
疲れた....。
でも月が癒してくれますね。

Moon Seen at the Omachi Bus Stop

I printed more than usual today.

My return time has also been delayed.

Tired.....

But the Moon heals me.

私が、大町 (鎌倉市) のリトグラフ工房へ行く時には、どこかの地点で滑川 (ナメリガワ) を渡ります。

現在は、延命橋を使用しています。

延命橋から、鷺 (サギ) を見る時があり、

「今日はいるかな〜？」

と、橋下を見ます。

今日は、鴨がいました。

珍しいな〜と思いつつ、i-phoneをポケットから出している間に、鷺もいることに気がつきました。

そして、もう一羽、鴨もいました。

When I go to the lithograph studio in Ōmachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, I cross the the Nameri River at some point.

Currently, I am using the Enmei Bridge.

From Enmei Bridge, I sometimes see a heron, and I look under the bridge, 

"Is it today?"

There was a duck today.

While thinking that it was unusual, I noticed that there was a heron while I was taking the i-phone out of my pocket.

And there was another duck.

白梅
数日前にもこの梅を見ました。
その時よりもさらに開花していました。

White Plum : Hakubai
I saw this plum a few days ago.
It was blooming even more than at that time.

ピンクの花
この木は、冬の間、ずっとピンクの花をつけています。
ここを通るたびに何の木かしら〜？と思います。
　ギョリュウバイ (檉柳梅) かなと推測しています。
ギョリュウバイは、
ニュージーランドとオーストラリア南東部原産です。

Pink Flowers

This tree has pink flowers throughout the winter.

I wonder what kind of tree is it every time I pass here.

I guess it's Manuka Myrtle.

Manuka Myrtle is native to New Zealand and southeastern Australia.

ここでしか見たことがない木。
A tree I've only seen here.

ニュージーランドの国花
この花のハチミツがマヌカハニーであることを知りました。
マヌカハニーはとても高価ですよね。

New Zealand National Flower
I found that the honey of this flower is Mānuka Honey.
The honey is very expensive, isn't it?

水仙
リトグラフ工房への小道に咲いていました。

1) 自宅 / At Home

結婚記念日は、レストランで食事をしたり、旅行へ行ったり、日常とは違う '何か' をしていました。

ですが、今年は自宅で過ごしました。

コロナのために旅行は控え、レストランには予約電話をかけ忘れました。

意図して自宅で過ごしたわけではありませんが、4月の個展に向けて、いくつかしたいことがあったので、残念にも感じませんでした。

当日、早朝からPCのデータ整理 (主に写真) とケーキ作りを同時進行しました。

ケーキの具材を焼き焦がし、ショック！

(りんごをキャラメライズしていました）

夫Rが

「ぐつぐつと良い感じで焼けていたのを見た時に、僕が (ガスを) 止めればよかった。僕の失敗だよ」

と言って、慰めてくれました。

2つのシンプルなレモン・パウンドケーキはできました。

いつもならケーキをオーブンから出したときに撮影しますが、忘れました。

また、ケーキが暖かいうちに味見をしますが、忘れました。

でもシャンパンを開けることは忘れませんでした。

At Home

On our wedding anniversaries, we have had meals in a restaurant, going on trips, and doing 'something' different than usual.

However, we spent this year at home.

We refrained from traveling because of Corona and I forgot to make a reservation call to the restaurant.

I didn't intentionally spend it at home, but I didn't feel sorry because 

I had some things I wanted to do for my exhibition in April.

On the day, I started organizing PC data (mainly photographs) and making a cake at the same time from early morning.

I charred the ingredients of the cake and shock!

(I was caramelizing apples)

My husband R said,

"I wish I had stopped (gas) when I saw it cooking nicely. It's my failure.",

he comforted me.

I made two simple lemon pound cakes.

I usually photograph when I take a cake out of the oven, but I forgot.

Also, I (we) usually taste a cake while it is warm, but I forgot.

However,  I didn't forget to open the champagne.

2) 幸せを呼ぶピンクの泡

    Pink Bubbles Bring Happiness

シャンパンを飲みながら、Rと一緒に彼の好きなポテトサラダを作りました。

While drinking champagne, I and R made his favourite potato salad.

ポテトサラダができた段階で、

シャンパンのボトルは空になっていませんでしたが、

この日のためのスパークリングワイン

を開けました。

Rosé

The bottle of champagne wasn't empty 

when the potato salad was ready, 

but we opened the sparkling wine for the day.

見かけは甘いですが、味は辛口です。

It looks sweet, but the taste is dry.

3) 終わりよければすべてよし！ 

    All's Well that Ends Well!

午後にビーフステーキとポテトサラダを食べました。

そういえば、この食事を撮影しませんでした。

無意識に避けていたのかもしれません....。

何故なら、PCで、膨大な数の写真をファイルを作って日別整理し、タイトルをつける作業にうんざりしていたからです。

年末にPCが故障し、修理に出す際に、外付けに記録しました。

自分が落ち着いていれば、通常に記録できたのに、故障したことにかなり動揺してしまったので、雑な整理の仕方になって、項目があちらこちらへ散らばっていました。

'ナケナシの記憶'をよび戻しつつ、それらをもとに戻し、再編集するという余分な作業もありました。

やりたかったところまでは到達できず、ギブアップ！

「一歩一歩！少しづつ！」

と、自分を励まし、慰めました。

夜遅くになって、ようやく、朝作ったケーキを二人で食べました。

この時も撮影しようとは思わなかったのですが、Rに促されて撮影しました。

そう、後になって、撮影しなかったことを後悔しても、この日、この瞬間は戻りませんし、その後悔の味も何回も経験してるからです。

まあ、その時はその時で

「それは撮影しなくても良いことだったのだ。撮影していないから、残る記憶もあるのだ」

と自分に言うのですけれどね...。

All's Well That Ends Well!

We had beef steaks and potato salad in the afternoon.

By the way, I didn't photograph this meal.

Maybe I was avoiding it unknowingly ...

This is because I was tired of making files for a huge number of photographs on my PC, organizing them by day, and giving them titles. 

When my PC broke down at the end of the year and I sent it for repair, I recorded it externally.

If I was calm, I could record normally, but I was quite upset about the breakdown, so it was a rough way of organizing, and the items were scattered all over the place.

There was also the extra work of bringing back my small memory, restoring them, and re-editing them.

I couldn't reach the place I wanted to do, so give up!

"Step by step! Little by little!"

I encouraged and comforted myself.

Late at night, we finally ate some of the cake I made in the morning.

I didn't want to photograph at this time either, but I was prompted by R to photograph.

Yes, even if I regret not having taken a picture later, this moment will not come back, and I have experienced regret many times.

Well,  when I didn't photograph, although I tell myself, 

"That was something I didn't have to photograph. I didn't photograph so sometimes I have some memories left."

通常ケーキの撮影は、オーブンから出したての時なので
2本分あります。
ですがこれは１つづつ包装してしまったあとなので1本です。

I usually photograph when I have just taken the two cakes out of

 the oven, so there are two in my photographs.

However, this is after being packaged individually, so it is just one.

 終わりよければすべてよし！
梅酒に付けたレーズン、レモン汁、バナナのケーキです。
本当ならりんごのキャラメラライズも入るはずでした...(涙)
ですが、結果的には、具材のバランスも味も調和が取れ、
美味しかったです。
ほっとしました。

 All's Well That Ends Well!

It is a cake of lemon juice, bananas and

 raisins soaked in plum wine : Umesh.

Originally, it was supposed to 

include caramelized apple... (Tears)

However, as a result, the balance and taste of the ingredients

 were in harmony and it was delicious.

I was relieved.
