2018年10月1日 平成30年台風第24号の後/ After Typhoon Trami, 1st of October, 2019

2018年10月1日の朝、前日の "平成30年台風第24号"の庭への影響を見ました。

JRの電車が止まってしまうほどの大きな台風でした。

名前は、"チャーミー / Trami"、花の名前です。

台風の名前は、あらかじめ決まっており、発生すると、台風の規模に関わらず、各国から提案された名前が順々に使用されてゆくと以前、聞きました。

随分前に、アメリカでは、女性の名前がつけられていたと記憶しています。

ちなみに日本は、星座名から名前を選んでいます。

On the morning, 1^st of October, 2018, I saw the effect on my garden by "Typhoon Trami" the day before.

It was a big typhoon that stopped some JR trains.

The name, " Trami" is a flower's name.

I have heard that the names of typhoons are predetermined, and when typhoons occur, names proposed by each country will be used one by one regardless of the size of the typhoon.

I remember that the woman it was named for lived a long time ago in USA.

By the way, Japan chose the names of constellations.

栗が落ちてました。
栗の季節だと気がつきました。

A sweet chestnut fell.

I noticed it was chestnut season.

大きな枝が落ちてました。
最初、枝であることに気がつきませんでした。

Big branches were down.

At first I did not notice that they were branches.

柿も落ちてました。
今年は栗も柿も昨年よりはデキが悪いように思います。
塩害かも？

A persimmon had fallen too.

I think chestnuts and persimmons this year are not as good as last year.

Is it salt damage?

木々の葉がみな縮れています。

とてもとてもひさしぶりに、友人 AちゃんとTちゃんに会いました。

一時は1週間に一度くらい会っていたのに、私が英国留学し、鎌倉に住まいはじめてから、年に1度くらいの頻度になってしまいました。

二人がランチが美味しいレストランと思っている、神田フレンチ シャルマン: Chamante"でディナーを食べました。

二人もディナーは、初めて。

Long time no see my friends, A chan and T chan.

At one time, I met one or both once a week, however, after I studied in Britain, then lived in Kamakura, it has been about once a year.

We ate dinner at “Kanda French, Chamante”, where they both think the lunch is delicious.

This was their first dinner.

お店はどんどん混んで行きます。
The restaurant is becoming more and more crowded.

酒飲みが好きそうな料理を注文しました。

量などもわからないので、ウエイトレスさんと相談しつつ決めました。

気さくで明るく、立場もきちんと理解しているスタッフさんでした。

スタッフさんは女性がほとんどです。

We ordered dishes often liked by drinkers.

As we did not know their quantities, we decided while consulting with our waitress.

She was friendly and bright, who understood her position properly.

The staff are mostly women.

美味しいのですが、塩気がかなりきついです。

お酒はすすみます！

まあ、最近、塩気が穏やかなところが増えているので、味にパンチが欲しい人には良いのかもしれません。

または、このレストランは、作るシェフによって、かなり味に幅があるのかもしれません。

They were delicious, however, they are very salty.

We would drink alcohol very easily!

Well, recently, there are more places where saltiness is mild, so it may be good for those who want a punch for the taste.

Or, this restaurant may have a wide range of flavours depending on the chef making it.

石黒隆宗 (1971 - )さんは鎌倉在住のアーティストで、私と同じリトグラフ工房で

作品を制作しています。

石黒さんは、自宅にエッチング工房をもっているので、版画はリトグラフ作品だけではありませんし、殆どの作品は様々な手法が駆使されています。

彼は個展、グループ展を各地で精力的に開催されている印象があります。

今回は銀座で個展が開催されました。

Takamune Ishiguro (1971-) is an artist based in Kamakura, who produces works in the same lithograph studio as me.

He has an etching studio at home, so his prints are not only lithograph works, and most works use various techniques.

I have the impression that he has held solo exhibitions and group exhibitions energetically in various places.

This time, there was his solo exhibition in Ginza, Tokyo.

When I saw the posters I thought maybe it was a Two-person exhibition?,
in fact, there were two solo exhibitions,
the venue is divided into two parts.

私は彼のセンスと作品が好きです。

彼は "Art Students League of New York" で学んでいます。

You can see Ishiguro's works through the gallery door!

I like his sense and works.

He studied at the "Art Students League of New York".

鮮やかなオレンジと黄色の作品が彼の作品としては珍しく感じます。
I feel bright orange and yellow works are unusual for his work.

実はRの方が私よりも先に鎌倉で石黒さんと知り合っており、石黒さんの展覧会も私よりも数多く、足を運んでいると思います。

In fact, R has known him earlier then me in Kamakura, and that he visits Ishiguro's exhibitions more than me.

Large works are at the back of the space.

かっこいいい作品！ / Cool works!

私はパネル張りにされている作品群が好きです。

立体的なところに惹かれるのかもしれません。

I like the works that are panelled.

I may be attracted to three-dimensional structure.

繊細さな印象の作品3点
Three works of delicate impression

ちょっと悲しい感じがして、そこに惹かれるものがあります。
There is some sadness, which I am attracted to.

彼の気持ちが塗り込められている感じがします。
I feel that his feelings are being painted.

このスタイルの作品は初めて見ました。
I saw this style of work for the first time.

素敵な個展でした。

訪ねてよかったです。

次回も楽しみにしています。

It was a lovely exhibition.

I am glad I visited it.

I am looking forward seeing his next exhibition.

2) 建部 弥希 展 / Miki Takebe Exhibition

画家、建部弥希(タケベミキ)さんを初めて知りました。
明るい色調がぱっと目に入ってきます。

This was the first time I knew of a painter, Takebe Miki.

At a glance bright colours come into my eyes.

残念ながら、石黒さんには会えませんでしたが、建部さんにはお会いできました。

Unfortunately, I did not see Ishiguro, but I did meet Takebe.

彼女の心象風景なのかな〜？と思いつつ見ました。

もや〜っと心に浮かぶ風景を懸命に形にしようとしていらっしゃる真摯な姿勢を感じます。

 While I looked them I wondered if they are her imagined landscapes?.

I feel her sincere attitude that is trying to represent the indistinct landscape.

彼女の明るい色は、スパイス的な働きがあると感じます。
I feel her bright colours have a spice-like effect.

モネ (クロード・モネ /1840 -1926) がお好きなのな？と思い、建部さんに聞きましたら

「よく聞かれます」

とおしゃっていました。

彼女の負の感情を感じました。

そうですね、画家に、そのスタイルの気配がある他の画家の名前をあげるのは、あまり良い質問でありません。

すみません。

初めてのアーティストさんとお話をするのは難しいな〜と感じていましたが、ほんと、難しい....。

I wondered if this artist likes Claude Monet (1840-1926)? and I asked her, 

she said that "I am often asked that".

I felt her negative emotions in response.

Well, it's not a good question to ask an artist the names of other painters who are similar to their style. 

I'm sorry.

I felt it was difficult to talk to an artist for the first time, indeed... it is really difficult ....

2018年9月16日 コジュケイ / Chinese Bamboo Partridge, 16th of September, 2018

コジュケイ / Chinese Bamboo Partridge 

時折、庭にコジュケイ(小綬鶏)を見かけます。

初めて、コジュケイを見たとき、5,6羽の家族でした。

家族と思えたのは、2羽の成鳥と2.3羽の幼鳥のグループだったからです。

本日見かけた3羽は、同じような大きさでした。

単なるグループかもしれませんが、私には家族に思えてしまいます。

Occasionally, I see Chinese Bamboo Partridge in my garden.

It was a family of five or six birds the first time I saw them.

I thought it was a family because it was a group of 2 adults and 2.3 young birds.

The three birds I saw today were of similar size.

It may be just a group, however, it seems like a family to me.

山鳩に似ていますが、顔はもっと穏やかで目の上に灰色の帯があり、
胸に煉瓦色と灰色の帯が見られます。

Similar to a mountain pigeon, although a face is more gentle and
is with a gray band above the eyes, and a brick and gray band on the chest.

撮影に気づかれたようで、隠れられてしまいました。

顔が緊張しているように見えますが、私の気のせい？

They seem to notice being photographed and they are hidden.

It looks like its face is tense, though is it just my imagination?

この後、家の脇を小走りして、 裏の茂みに消えて行きました。

怖がらず、また来てください。

After this they trotted along the side of the house and disappeared in the bushes at the back.
