| 霧島マップ 9月26日 ~ 10月1日、私と姉Yは、鹿児島県へ旅行しました。 本日、29日は、鹿児島交通タクシーのSさんの案内で、 鹿児島市内から霧島温泉郷 (キリシマオンセンキョウ) を目指して、 観光をしました。 このセクションは、''ホテルまで" についてです。 Kirishima Guide Map in Japanese From 26th of September to 1st of OctoberI and my sister Y travelled to Kagoshima Prefecture. 1) '神話の里公園'
'Kirishima Shinwanosato Park'
宿泊するホテル近くに丸尾滝 (マルオノタキ) があったので、観光の予定に入れていました。
そのかわりに、予定には入れていなかった、'神話の里公園' へ寄りました。
ただ、私達が行ったときは、それらを楽しむ時間はなく、駐車場へゆき、景色をちらっと眺めただけでした。

'Kirishima Shinwanosato Park'
There is Maruo Falls near a hotel where we stayed, so I included the Falls in our sightseeing itinerary.
However, it was damaged by Typhoon No. 14, 2022 (Nanmadol), so we could not visit it.
Instead, we stopped by 'Kirishima Shinwanosato Park'', which was not included in
our itinerary.
'Kirishima Shinwanosato Park' is located at an altitude of 670m, where you can see Kinko Bay (Kagoshima Bay) and Sakurajima Island.
However, when we went there, we didn't have time to enjoy them, so we just went to the carpark and had a quick look at the scenery.

私は駐車場から景色を撮影しました。
リフトを使用すると、錦江湾が一望できるそうですが、駐車場からでも桜島は見ることができました。
I photographed the scenery from the carpark.
If you use a chairlift, you can get a full view of Kinko Bay, although I was able to see Sakurajima Island even from the carpark.

2) 丸尾滝橋から / From Maruo Falls Bridge
丸尾滝は明礬泉 (ミョウゼンンセン / 温泉水)と湧き水が混じり合う湯滝(ユダキ)なので、観光スポットになっています。
滝の近くに展望台がありますが、そこへの道も通行止めになっていました。
丸尾滝橋は、霧島錦江湾国立公園 (キリシマ キンコウワン コクリツ コウエン) を経由して宮崎・鹿児島両県を結ぶ観光道路上にあり、2015年に開通しました。

From Maruo Falls Bridge
As previously mentioned, Maruo Falls was damaged by the typhoon, so we were unable to visit it.
Maruo Falls is a hot spring waterfall where alum spring (hot spring water) and spring water are mixed, so it is a tourist spot.
There is an observatory near the waterfall, but the road to it was also closed.
Maruo Falls Bridge (302m) is located on National Route 223 leading to Kirishima Hot Springs Village, and we looked in the direction of Maruo Falls from the Bridge.
The Bridge opened in 2015 on the tourist road that connects Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures via Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park.

3) 霧島最古の岩風呂
Oldest Rock Bath in Kirishima
私が立てた予定は、ホテル到着前の丸尾滝で終了でした。
ですが、丸尾滝が見学不可だったので、ホテル到着の予定時間まで、少し時間がありました。
Sさんが、機転を聞かせて、"霧島最古の岩風呂" に私達を案内してくださいました。
"霧島最古の岩風呂" は、宮崎県道・鹿児島県道1号小林えびの高原牧園線 (ミヤザキケン・カゴシマケンドウ1ゴウ コバヤシエビ ノ コウゲンマキゾノセン) : えびのスカイライン上にあり、私達が宿泊した霧島ホテルから車で2,3分の距離でした。
道路脇には、何台か駐車可能なスペースがあり、案内板があります。
'丸尾自然探勝路 (マルオ シゼン タンショウロ) 入口'の道標先に入り、しばらく登ると岩風呂が見えてきました。

Oldest Rock Bath in Kirishima
Our route ended at Maruo Falls before arriving at the hotel.
However, Maruo Falls was not available to visit, so we had a little time before our arrival at the hotel.
S San with his quick wit, guided us to "Oldest Rock Bath in Kirishima".
"Oldest Rock Bath in Kirishima" is located on 'No. 1 of Miyazaki Prefectural Road and Kagoshima Prefectural Road, Kobayashi Ebino Kogen-makizono Line' : 'Ebino Skyline', it was 2-3 minute by a car from the 'Kirishima Hotel' where we stayed.
There are a couple parking spots on the side of the road, and there is an information board.
Enter by the 'Maruo Shizen Tanshoro Entrance' signpost, and after climbing for a while, you will see the rock bath.

| '丸尾自然探勝路 入口'の道標 丸尾自然探勝路 : ★は、国立公園内に石畳で 整備されたコースです。 コース内には、樹齢200年以上の大木が生い茂り、 野生の鹿や珍しい蝶、鳥などが生息しています。 コース近くには霧島最古の岩風呂があります。 'Maruo Nature Exploration Path Entrance' Signpost Maruo Nature Exploration Path : ★ is a route with a stone pavement in the National park. Large trees over 200 years old grow thick on the route, and wild deer, rare butterflies, and birds inhabit. Kirishima's oldest rock bath is located near the route. |

この岩風呂は、'目の湯'とよばれ、無料の温泉・野湯 (ノユ / ヤトウ)として有名です。
目によく効くという通説がありますが、実際の効果は確認されていません。
季節や時期によって色や温度 (35℃ - 60℃) が変わるそうです。
This rock bath is called 'Me no Yu' : 'Eye Hot Spring' and is famous for its free hot spring and wild bathing.
There is a popular theory that it works well for the eyes, but the actual effect has not been confirmed.
It seems that the colour and temperature (35℃ - 60℃) change depending on the season and time.

| 石灰華 岩に白く残っているのは、石灰華 (セッカイカ)です。 水が白いのは、カルシウム分が溶けているためで、 岩につくと石灰華と呼ばれます。 Sekkaika : Travertine The white residue on the rock is calcareous sinter : travertine. The water is white because calcium is dissolved in it, and when it sticks to the rocks it is called travertine : Sekkaika. |
現在は、道路が整備されて、岩風呂は、秘境とは言えない場所にありますが、周囲の雰囲気は、'秘境'であると感じます。
Nowadays, the road is well maintained and the rock bath is not in a hidden area, but the surrounding atmosphere still feels like a 'hidden area'.

4) 硫黄谷噴気地帯公園
Iō-dani Fumarole Park
岩風呂のあとに、'硫黄谷噴気地帯公園' (イオウダニフンキシタイコウエン) にも連れて行っていただきました。
眺めていると、自分が別世界にいるような気持ちになります。
地球が生きている！という実感も持ちます。
Iō-dani Fumarole Park
After the rock bath, we were taken to the 'Iō-dani Fumarole Park'.
Looking at it makes me feel like I'm in another world.
I also have the feeling Earth is alive!
ちょっと怖くなりますね。

最終目的地の霧島ホテルへ向かいました。
有意義で楽しいタクシー観光ができました。
S San、本当に、ありがとうございました。
We headed to our final destination, the Kirishima Hotel.
We had a meaningful and enjoyable taxi tour.
