1) スイミング・プール / Swimming Pool
金沢21世紀美術館で、何が一番有名な作品かといえば、

レアンドロ・エルリッヒ / Leandro Erlich (1973 - / ★) の"スイミング・プール"、2004 (★)ではないでしょうか？

美術館・公式サイト : ★

美術館内は、迷路のようなので、"スイミング・プール" を中から見るために、多少
戸惑いました。

Among the works of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, speaking of what is most famous,

it is the "Swimming Pool", 2004 (★) by Leandro Erlich (1973 - / ★), isn't it?

The museum inside seems like a maze, so I was a bit puzzled to see the "Swimming Pool" from inside.

典型的な体験型現代アート。

視覚を通して人々の脳を活性化します。

"Swimming pool", 2004 : ★

Typical experience-oriented contemporary art.
It activates the brains of people through sight.

"透明のガラスの上に深さ約10センチの水が張られているだけで、

ガラスの下は水色の空間となって"います。

" Just 10cm of water is on the transparent glass

and the light blue space is under the glass."

夜になるとライトがつくのでしょうか？

Will light come at night?

今年は、東京の森美術館で、彼の最大規模の作品展が開かれていました。

知っていたら、行ったと思います、残念！

そういえば、私は、森美術館にまだ行ったことがないのでした....なんたること！

This year, his biggest work exhibition was held in Mori Art Museum, Tokyo.

If I had known, I think I would have gone, What a shame!

Oh! Yes! I haven't visited the Mori Art Museum yet....For shame!

2) 交流ゾーン / Public Zone

水色部分が展覧会ゾーンで有料、無色の部分が交流ゾーンで、無料です。

The light blue part,  the Exhibition Zone is charged for,
and the colourless part is called Public Zone, free.

泉太郎 (イズミタロウ / 1976 -) 氏の作品は映像がメインのようですが、

それを見る時間はありませんでした。

それ以外の作品も複数ありましたが全てを見るまたは、

気づく余裕が私はありませんでした。

Taro Izumi (1976 -)'s works seem mainly to be videos,

although I did not have time to watch them.

There were several other works, but I could not afford to see or notice everything.

この柱を見つけ、靴の存在に気がつき、ようやく作品であると認識しました。
柱を包んでいる布は、柱のズボンなのですね〜。

I found this pillar and noticed the existence of a shoe,
 I finally recognized that it is a work.
The cloth wrapping the pillar was pillar's trouser, wasn't it?

他にも仲間の柱がありました。
There were other fellows.

みんなそれぞれコンセントを持っています。
Everyone has their own attachment plug.

According to their Website,
"Botanist Patrick Blanc’s theory that plants can grow 
even under limited conditions has found expression in a work of art".

本当に、最近は現代アートの作家は、なになに学者とか建築家とかが多いです。

ずっとアートの世界にいる人はその世界の既成概念にとらわれているので、

新しい見解を作品を通して見せることができないのでしょうか？

　人々を喜ばせることができないのでしょうか？

Indeed, recently the contemporary art world has many scholars and architects.

People who are always in the art world tend to be caught up

in their preconceived ideas of the world, so they cannot show people

their new view or opinion through their work?
People from art world cannot please viewers ?

子供のためのスペース / Space for Children

開館当時の館長は、蓑豊 (ミノユタカ / 1941 -)氏で
こどもにアートの経験を与えることに力を注いだので、
このような施設があるのだと思いました。

The director was Mino Yutaka (1941 -) at the time of the Museum opening, 
who focused on giving children the experience of art, 
so I thought that was why there is such a facility.

李禹煥 (リ ウーファン) 先生のポスターを見つけて嬉しくなりました。
李先生は、タマ美のときの恩師で、私に現代美術の世界のドアを
開けてくれました。

I found Lee Ufan's poster and I became pleased.

Professor Lee Ufan was my teacher when I was in Tama Art University,

Lee sensei opened the door of the world of contemporary art to me.

"ローカル・テキスタイル　1" - TO&FRO　うすく、かるく : ★

2017年11月18日(土) 〜2018年6月24日(日)

デザイン・ギャラリーで3回にわたって行なわれる展覧会シリーズ

「ローカル・テキスタイル」。

金沢とその周辺の繊維産業がテーマです。

シリーズの1回目は「TO&FRO」。

「TO&FRO」は、金沢市とかほく市の会社「カジグループ」による

トラベルギア（旅行用品）ブランド。

下のディスプレイは印象的なのですが、内容を覚えていません。

最後に見たので、もう私の頭と心には何も入って来なかったのかもしれません。

"Local Textile 1 "-TO & FRO　Thinner, Lighter : ★

Sat. 18th November 2017 – 2Sun. 24th June 2018 

Exhibition series which will be held three times in the 'Design  Gallery'

"Local textile".

The theme is Kanazawa and its textile industry.

Part 1 the “Local Textile” series features TO & FRO,
a travel gear brand of the Kaji Group based in the cities of Kanazawa and Kahoku.
The display above is impressive, but I do not remember the content.
As I saw it last, it may not have left anything in my head or heart.

ミュージアムショップは2ヶ所(上と下の写真) : ★あります。
金沢の友人Sちゃんの職場が美術館の近くなので、
ミュージアムショップで落ち合いました。

They have two museum shops below and above : ★.
I met my friend S chan living in Kanazawa in a museum shop,
because her company is near the museum, 

お買い物 / Shopping 

袋は、美術館の円形の建物がデザインされています。
The bag is designed with the circular building of the Museum.

ひびのこづえデザイン
ひびのこづえ (1958 -)さんのハンカチは、
青山のスパイラルマーケットで売っていたのですが、
最近はなく、残念に思っていました。
ですが、ここで見つけました！嬉しい！
しかもブルー(上の写真)は、スパイラルにはなかったので、
余計に嬉しい！

Koze Hibino's  Handkerchiefs 
Koze Hibino (1958 -) 's handkerchief was sold in the Spiral Market, Aoyama, Tokyo, 
although recently they do not sell it, I was sorry.
However, I found it here! I was glad!
Moreover, its Blue version above was not in Spiral Market,
so I was even more pleased!

屋内マップ
屋内を歩いてみて実感したことは、ちょっと迷路のようで、
自分が今どこにいるのか見失いがちでした。
まあ、それが面白いのかもしれません。

What I realized when I walked around inside 
was that here seemed to be bit like a maze
and I tended to lose where I was in the building.
Well, that might be fun.

"見ることは、多くの人にとって、当たり前の行為ですが、意識を持って見るということは案外に難しく、それゆえに色々なことを見過ごしてしまいがちです。
美術館という場所は、作品を「見ること」、「愛でること」、「考えること」に適した場所です。

美術作品を鑑賞することが好きという方も、苦手という方も、この展覧会にご来場いただいた方に、「まずは作品をよく見ることから始めましょう」と言いたい。

展覧会「見ることの冒険」はそこから始まります。
作品に、いつもより気持ちの上でもう一歩近づいてみる、いつもより10秒長く立ち止まってみる、見尽くしたと思っても、もう少し見てみる。

そこから、見えていなかった細部に気づいたり、様々な想像をめぐらせる時間が生まれるかもしれません。そこで得られる様々な発見や驚き、感動は、冒険物語のそれと変わらないと思います。
どうか積極的に作品と向き合い、自分自身の冒険譚を紡いでください。

現代美術は、ただ感じれば良いという考え方があります。

現代美術だけでなく、アート作品を見るときは、その見方は間違ってはいないと私は思います。

ですが、ときには、いろいろ考えても良いかなと思います。

いつもあまり考えて生きていない私は、せめて、美術館やギャラリーで作品を見るときは、怠惰な脳を活性化するためにも、思い巡らしたほうが良いと思っています。

そうは言っても、深い思考はできないので、結局感じるだけなのかもしれません。

Yet, to consciously see is surprisingly difficult, and as a result, we tend to miss much of what there is to see.
An art museum is a place for “seeing,” “admiring,” and “thinking about” artworks. To the visitors to this exhibition, whether they normally enjoy viewing artworks or find it difficult, we would like to say, “First of all, begin by seeing well.” 

The exhibition “Adventures in ‘Seeing’” starts there.

Open yourself to the artwork a little more than usual. Stand and view it 10 seconds longer than usual.

After viewing it thoroughly, relax and view it a little more. Doing so, you will begin to see details you had not noticed, and your imagination will have time to come into play.

Discoveries, surprises, and new feelings will come to you in an experience really no different from an adventure story.
Please look actively at the artworks and unfold your very own adventure story.

There is an idea in contemporary art that you just feel something about works.

When viewing any art work, not only contemporary art, in my view, that idea is not wrong.

However, sometimes, it is alright that I think various thoughts.

I usually live not thinking so much, so at least when I see works in museums or galleries, it is better for me to think about them in order to activate the lazy brain.

Even so, I cannot think deeply, so maybe I just feel it.

ひとつの展示室にひとつの作品という贅沢な展示の仕方をしています。

視覚と聴覚に訴える作品なので、その展示は、作品の世界を守っていました。

摩訶不思議な世界を十分に各展示室で楽しめました。

美術館の通路 / Passage in the Museum 

They exhibited luxuriously with just a single work in one exhibition room.

Because it is a work appealing to the sense of sight and hearing, the exhibit kept the world of the work.

I could enjoy the mysterious worlds enough.

Simply by looking at the exhibition's leaflet (the same design as the poster, above) and the poster, I imagined that it would be my favourite type of world.

展覧会が良かったので、買いました。
The exhibition was good, so I bought this.

"THE KILLING MACHINE", 2007 
最初に見た作品がこれでした。

こわかったけれど、魔法にかけられたように最後を見届けるまで、

その場を動けませんでした。

歯医者さんをイメージさせ、そのあと、
　映画『時計じかけのオレンジ』

[1962, 製作・監督・脚本：スタンリー・キューブリック (1928 - 1999)]

を連想しました。

It was the first time I saw this work.

I was afraid, but I could not move from there 
until I saw the end, as if it magically cast a spell on me.
This work made my image of a dentist, and then reminded me of 

a film, "Clockwork Orange"

ムットーニ (MUTTONI / 1956 - : ★) の世界 (下) も思い出します。

私はムットーニの世界が大好き....ジャネット・カーディフ＆ジョージ・ビュレス・ミラーの世界は、ムットーニよりずっと怖いけれど、やっぱり、好き。

Their works remind me of MUTTONI (1956 - : ★)'s world (below), too.

I love MUTTONI 's world...the world of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller is more frightening then the  MUTTONI 's world, however, I like their world, too.
