1) パン屋さん / Bakery
表参道へ夫Rとともに、出かけました。
まずは、'bread works' (ブレッドワークス)へ行きました。
ここの丸ごとオリーブ入りのパンとオリジナルミックスナッツが私のお気に入りです。
Rのパン好みは違いますがナッツは彼も好きです。

Tysons and Company owns a number of restaurants. This is one of them.  いつもカフェもパン屋も混んでいます。 The cafe and the bakery are always busy. |
Bakery
I went to Omotesando with my husband R.
First, we went to 'bread works'.
My favourites here are the original mixed nuts and the bread with whole olives.
R's favourite breads are different from mine, but he likes the nuts too.
2) アップルストアー / Apple Store
ゴールデンウィーク中に、誤って、Macにお湯をかけてしまいました。
電源も入らない状態なので、確実に故障です。
昨年暮れから数回、自分の誤った取り扱いで、Macを故障させていました。
一度電話で相談し、アップルストアーに持ち込み、直接係の方に見てもらうのが一番良い対処方法であることがわかりました。
お湯をかけてしまったような状態を '水没'と表現することを知り、
一層落ち込みました。
'水没'って...かなり、期待がもてない響きです。
本日、表参道のアップルストアーへ持ち込み、修理か、新しいMacの購入をするかの相談をしました。
故障したMacはデータ保存のままの修理は、専門の業者に依頼する道を進められました。
アップルとしては、データ保存のままの修理はできないということでした。
(アップルだって専門の業者であるのでしょうけれど、責任は負えないということで、引き受けてはもらえません)
結果、新しいMacの購入をし、故障のMacは一旦持ち帰り、修理を再検討することにしました。
Apple Store
During Golden Week, I accidentally spilt hot water on my Mac.
Since the power does not turn on, it is definitely a malfunction.
A few times since the end of last year, I have damaged my Mac due to my own mishandling.
I understood that the best way to deal with it was to firstly consult by phone, take it to the Apple store, and have the person in charge take a look at it directly.
I was even more depressed when I found that 'submerged' is the expression for a state in which hot water has been poured over it.
'Submerged'... sounds pretty hopeless.
Today, I brought it to the Apple store in Omotesando and consulted as to whether to repair it or buy a new Mac.
I was recommended that if I asked repair my broken Mac while preserving the data, I should ask a professional contractor.
Apple said that they could not repair it while preserving the data.
(Apple may be a professional contractor, but they won't accept it because they can't take responsibility for keeping the data.)
As a result, I decided to purchase a new Mac, take the broken Mac home, and reconsider the repair.

Macの件がなくとも、EARTH展には行くつもりでいました。

EARTH Exhibition
The EARTH Exhibition was being held at Galerie412.
Even without the Mac issue, I was planning to go to the EARTH Exhibition.

| EARTH 展 二人展 : MIRAI & AO 展覧会は、二人の作品がお互いを生かし合い、 気持ちよくまとまっていました。 筆運びに共通の息を感じつつ、個性の違いは明確にあり、 とても良い二人展であったと感じました。 EARTH Exhibition Two person Exhibition : MIRAI & AO 1st ~ 10th of May 2022 13:00 - 19:00  ギャラリー入り口 / Entrance of Gallery In the Exhibition, the two peoples works made good use of each others and were comfortably united. I felt that it was a very good two-person exhibition, where I could feel the common breath in their brush strokes, but there was a clear difference in individuality. |

| 真ん中の壁の展示 展覧会のタイトルに即して描かれたであろう、 '地球の作品' はAOちゃんが描きました。 (実際のタイトルはわかりません） 通常の彼女の絵柄とは違っています。 地球の作品に窓が映り込んでしまっています。 それはそれで素敵な効果ですが、 実際の作品の良さを削ってしまいました。 この壁のそれ以外の作品はMIRAI氏のものです。 Display on the Middle Wall 'The work of the earth', drawn by AO, would have been drawn in line with the exhibition title. (I don't know the actual title) It is different from her usual pictures. The window is reflected in the work of the earth. That's a nice effect in its own right, but it's taken away from the actual work. The other works on this wall are by MIRAI. |
B. MIRAI
MIRAI氏は、現在、東京藝術大学の院生です。
彼は学生ではあるものの、複数回の個展を開催し、大きなグループ展に参加しています。
すでにアーティストとして生きることを決意し、着々とアート世界に自分の足跡を刻み始めています。
ネット検索をすると、たくさんの情報が上がってきて、彼の活躍ぶりを感じます。
また、ネットを利用したアーティスト広告展開: ★に、時代を感じます。
残念ながらその個展にはうかがうことができなかったのですが、DMの迫力のある絵は印象的で心に残っています。
実際に本人に会ったのは、今年の4月の私の個展で、彼はGalerie412のスタッフの一人でした。
そのときに、5月に二人展をする話をきき、うかがいたいな〜と思いましたが、自分の疲労度がわからなかったので、約束はしませんでした。
ですが、二人展の最終日の今日、行くことができ、実際の作品を見ることができ、とても嬉しかったです。

| 2022年5月・ Earth 展作品 上のDM作品と共通する持ち味がありますが 作品傾向の違いが顕著です。 私はこちらの作品傾向の方が好きです。 Earth Exhibition Work・ May 2022 Although it shares characteristics with the above invitation work, the difference in the style of the work is remarkable. I like this style more than his earlier work. |
MIRAI
'MIRAI' is currently a graduate student at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Although he is still a student, he has held several exhibitions and participated in large group exhibitions.
He has already decided to live as an artist and is steadily making his mark on the art world.
If I search the Internet, I could find a lot of information about him, and I could feel how active he is.
And he is also developing artist advertisements using the Internet : ★ I feel the times.
The first time I found out about his painting was on the invitation card for the 2020 'Yoshitaka Nishida Exhibition' held in Galerie412.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit that exhibition, but the card's powerful painting left a lasting impression on me.
I actually met him in my exhibition in April this year, when he was one of the staff in Galerie412.
At that time, I heard about the two-person exhibition to be held in May, and I thought I'd like to visit, but I didn't know how tired I would be, so I didn't make a promise.
However, today, the last day of the exhibition, I was very happy to be able to go and see the actual works.

チェンジ, 2022 この作品を購入しました。 とても好きです。 静かに何かにむかっている雰囲気が好きです。 この写真は、自宅に飾っている絵を撮影しました。 ゴールドの円は、彼の何かしらのターニングポイントを 記しているように感じます。 個展会場のいくつかの絵に似た印を見ました。 Change, 2022 We purchased this work. I love this. I like the atmosphere of quietly heading towards something. This photo was taken of the painting in our home. I feel that the gold circle marks some kind of turning point for him. There were similar circles in some of his other paintings in the exhibition. |
二人展のもう一人のアーティストはAOちゃんで、彼女にも私の個展で会いました。
MIRAI氏が私の作品がAOちゃんが好きであろうと推測して、会場によんでくれました。
ありがとうございました。
青が好きなので、アーティスト名をAOにしたと聞きました。
最近の私の個展の作品は青を多く使用する傾向あるので、彼女の好みにあったのでしょう。
彼女の作品もi-phoneの写真で見せていただき、私も彼女の作品が好きでしたし、センスが似ているのを感じました。
彼女は、キラキラとした妖精の粉をまとっているように感じました。
チャーミングな女性です。
実際の彼女の作品を見たのは、この二人展が初めてでした。
AO
The other artist in the two-person Exhibition is AO, and I had also met her in my exhibition.
MIRAI guessed that AO would like my work and invited her to my exhibition.
Thank you very much.
I heard that she chose her artist name, AO, because she likes blue.
(AO means blue in Japanese.)
My recent exhibition works tend to use a lot of blue, so my exhibition might have been to her liking.
She also showed me her works on her i-phone.
I felt as if she was surrounded by twinkling fairy dust, and she is a charming woman.
This two-person exhibition was the first time I saw her actual work.

| パワフル （AOちゃんの作品） i-phoneの作品で抱いた印象よりも大胆で、意志の強さも 感じました。 Powerful (AO's Works) Her works were bolder than the impression I had got from seeing her works on her i-phone, and I felt her strong will.  この傾向の抽象画は世に結構多くありますが 彼女の作品には緊張感と美があり、 特別な印象を持ちました。 There are quite a lot of abstract paintings of this type in the world but I felt a sense of tension and a beauty in her works, and they left a special impression on me. |
私は英国留学する前は、イラストレイターでした。
イラストレイターとして描いていた絵を嫌いではありませんでしたが、多くの展覧会や美術館を見て、こんな風な絵を描いてみたいと思う抽象画がありました。
けれども、その絵は描けませんでした。
自分の思考や精神を外へ出す表現が、ドローイングであることを英国留学で学び、ようやく描きたいものと自分が作り出すものが一致するようになりました。
ですが、AOちゃんは、すでにその領域にあり、賞賛の気持ちをもって見ました。

Before I went to study in Britain, I was an illustrator.
As an illustrator, I didn't dislike my pictures I was creating, but when I saw many exhibitions and museums, there were styles of abstract paintings that I wanted to create.
However, I could not make them.
While studying abroad in Britain I learned to depict, expressing my thoughts and spirit, this is drawing.
But AO is already in that realm, and I looked at her with admiration.

ここ数日、自分の個展の疲れからだけでなく、Mac の破損 (故障) によっても、精神的に落ちていました。
が、この二人展で、精神が浄化されたように感じました。
新しいMacとリフレッシュされた気持ちをもって、帰宅することができました。
(購入した絵は後日ギャラリーで受け取りました）
ありがとうございました。
For the past few days, I had been mentally depressed, not only from the fatigue of my exhibition, but also from the damage (malfunction) of my Mac.
However, I felt that my spirit was purified by this two-person exhibition.
I came home with a new Mac and a refreshed mind.
(We received the painting we had purchased in the gallery at a later date.)
