Souvenirs from coonie's World
私の磁器作品のメインはオブジェだと思っています。
けれども、私のオブジェを一般の生活の中に取り入れるには、なかなか難しいものがあります。
個展という 'coonie's World (クーニーの世界)' へ足を運んでいただいた思い出の記念として、お客様の個々の生活へ持ち帰っていただく
お土産として食器を作るようになりました。
物語で、ファンタジー世界または別世界へ行って現実世界へ戻ってきたときに、ファンタジー世界または別世界で得た何か...貝や木の葉、ペンダントなどのようなお土産的なものとしての食器だと考えています。
来場者が現実世界で私の食器を見ると、私の個展の世界を思い出して心の旅ができるように、'coonie's World' がそこに広がるようにという私の願いがあります。

Souvenirs from coonie's World
I think the main part of my porcelain work is objects.
However, it is quite difficult to incorporate my objects into ordinary life.
As a memento of the memories of visiting 'coonie's World', which is my exhibition, I have started to make tableware as a souvenir for visitors to bring back to each visitors life.
In a story, when you go to the fantasy world or another world and come back to the real world, something you got in the fantasy world or another world ... think of it as a souvenir, my tableware can be like shells, leaves, pendants, etc. ..
When a visitor sees my tableware in the real world, I have my hope that they remember the world of my exhibition and take a journey in their heart, 'coonie's World' spreads there.
B. 3つのグループ / Three Groups

今回の個展の磁器の食器は、色で分けると青、白、黒の3色です。 テーマでは、青が空と月、白が雲と竜、黒が雪空です。  The porcelain tableware for this exhibition is divided into three colours : Blue, White, and Black. In themes, Blue is the sky and the moon, White is the clouds and the dragon, and Black is the snow sky.  |
2) 展示の変化 / Display Changed
食器は、ほぼ毎日展示がどこかしら変わりました。
当初は、私が食器でお絵描きをするように展示しましたが、途中からギャラリースタッフのChizukaさんが食器がそのものが素敵に見えるように変えてくださいました。
彼女は、食器の置き場所を変化させることを楽しんでいるように見受けられ、それを感じた私は嬉しく思いました。

Display Changed
The tableware arrangements were changed almost every day.
Initially, I displayed as if I were drawing with tableware, but from
half-way, Chizuka changed the tableware so that it looked nicer.
She seemed to enjoy changing the location of the dishes, which made me happy.

3) 引き出し/ Drawers

| 引き出しの中 このギャラリーでの個展は3回目になります。 3回とも引き出しにも作品を展示しました。 このことをご存知の方も多くなり、 来場者に驚きを感じてもらうことが少なくなりました。 次回は違うアイディアをここに...と思っています。 In the Drawer This is my third exhibition in this gallery. The works were exhibited in the drawers all three times. Many people were aware of this, and it was less likely that visitors would be surprised. 5) 竜雲 / Dragon Clouds

| 竜雲シリーズ 竜雲シリーズは白い食器です。 磁器の白さを最も楽しめる食器群です。 実は2つの柄の違いがあり、1つは "竜の飛沫 (シブキ)" もう1つは、"竜の航跡 (コウセキ)" があります。 2つの柄の違いは、写真では判別しにくいでしょう。 実際のお皿を見ても気が付く人はあまりいないかもしれません。 写真 : yumieDragon Clouds Series The Dragon Clouds Series is white tableware. In this group of tableware you can most enjoy the whiteness of porcelain. Actually, there are differences between the two patterns, one is "Dragon Splash" and the other is "Dragon Trail". "竜雲シリーズ" は、白い磁器に幾分違う白い磁器で柄を描いています。
この手法は英国から本帰国後に始めていますが、ここ何回かの個展の作品には使用していませんでした。
白と黒のお皿は、青いお皿よりも薄く作りました。
白のお皿は黒のお皿よりも、より一層薄く作りました。
磁器は陶器のお皿よりも薄く作ることができますが、来場者が薄い磁器の扱いを恐れる傾向にあることに気がつき、ここ何年かは厚めにお皿を作っていました。
Chizukaさんから
「coonieさんはcoonieさんの好きなように作った方が良い」
とアドバイスをいただき、今回は薄いお皿を制作しました。
"竜雲シリーズ" (白のお皿) の購入者は、殆どがデザイナーさんやイラストレイターさんでした。
最終的には残った竜雲シリーズの小さいお皿は、ギャラリーが買い上げてくださいました。

Dragon Clouds
The "Dragon Clouds Series" draws a pattern on white porcelain with
a slightly different white porcelain.
I started this technique after returning to Japan from Britain, but
I haven't used it in the works of several of my exhibitions.
The white and black plates were made thinner than the blue plates.
The white plates were made even thinner than the black plates.
Porcelain can be made thinner than pottery plates, but I've noticed that visitors tend to be afraid to handle thin porcelain, and for the last few years I've been making thicker plates.
From Chizuka, I received the advice :
"Coonie should make as you like.",
and this time I made thinner plates.
Most of the purchasers of the "Dragon Clouds Series" were designers and illustrators.
The gallery bought the small plates of the "Dragon Clouds Series" that remained at the end.

6) 雪空 / Snow Sky

| 雪空シリーズ 丸いお皿も四角いお皿同様にたたら作りを基本にして作っています。 ろくろも型も使用していません。 多少ある 'イビツさ' を愛してくださる方向きです。 Snow Sky Series Round plates are also made on the basis of slab building, just like square plates. No throwing or mould is used.  黒地がメインのお皿はお料理や果物、花などが映えます。 会場でその良さがあまり伝えられなかったのが残念です。 購入してくださった方はきっとご自宅で 「思ったより良かったわ」 ときっと思ってくださっていると思います。 The plate, which is mainly black background is more attractive with food, fruits, flowers and so on. It is a pity that this wasn't conveyed very much in the venue. I'm sure that at home, those who purchased will think that the plate is better than they expected. |

| "海と空と..." (自宅) 5枚のみのシリーズでした。 4枚は売れ、現在、5枚目は、軽井沢の友人の店に出ています。 私が思ったよりも人気があったようです。 "Sea, Sky and ..." (Home) It was a series of only 5 pieces. Four have sold and the fifth is currently in a friend's shop in Karuizawa. It seems that it was more popular than I expected. |

B. 山岳シリーズ / Mountains Series
山は空に近いと感じます。
彼女の映像の影響を受けた作品や発想が結構あるように思います。
このことは、オブジェのセクション (下記 : ③) にも書きました。
山岳シリーズは、影響を受けた1つだと思います。

Mountains Series
I feel that the mountains are close to the sky.
I started watching Youtube more than before COVID-19 pandemic,
I think there are quite a few of my works and ideas that were influenced by her videos.
I also wrote about this in the object section, below.
I think the Mountain Series was one of the influences.

C. ルナ・カレンダーシリーズ
Lunar Calendar Series
磁器作品制作の最初に作ったのが、 'ルナ・カレンダーシリーズ' の
"ミニチュア・ピクチャー" でした。
制作時はまだ、シリーズタイトルも作品タイトルもありませんでした。
鎌倉山に住み始め、コロナ禍になり、より一層月を見る機会が増えました。
月の写真も以前よりも頻繁に撮影しました。
こんな背景から、月の満ち欠けを小さなタイルに描くことから制作は始まったのです。

Lunar Calendar Series
The first porcelain work I made was the "Miniature Picture" from the 'Lunar Calendar Series'.
At the time, there was no series title or work title yet.
I started living in Kamakurayama and also the COVID-19 pandemic came, so I have had more chances to see the moon.
I also took pictures of the moon more often than before.
Against this background, my making began by drawing the phases of the moon on small tiles.

| 満月 箸置、または、カトラリー置 (引き出し) 私の好きな箸置に、このサイズがあります。 なので同じサイズで自分の作品として箸置を作りました。 けれども一般的には箸置きとしては小さかったようです。 結果的には"ミニチュア・ピクチャー" 同様の 使われた方になるようです。 写真 : yumie 写真は私がトリミングしています。 Full Moon Chop Stand or Cutlery Rest (In the drawer) My favourite chopstick rest has this size. So I made chopstick rests as my own work with the same size. But in general, it seems that it was small as a chopstick rest.
