7月の野菜が届く時に私が体調を崩し、食欲が落ちてしまいました。

急遽、姉宅へ7月分を届けてもらうことに。

急な変更にもかかわらず、"ゴールデングリーン" さんが対処してくれて助かりました。

ありがとうございました。

なので、残念なことに7月分の野菜の写真がありません。

8月の野菜 、カラフル！
August Vegetables, Colorful!

When July vegetables were nearly due to arrive, my  physical conditionI was bad and my appetite fell.

In a hurry, the vegetables would be better delivered to my sister's house.

In spite of the sudden change, "Golden Green" did deal with it.

Thank you very much.

So, unfortunately I do not have photograph for vegetables of July.

I feel that her selection matched me well.

包装紙、箱のラベルともに彼女のセンスを感じます。
I feel her sense, both in the wrapping paper and the box label.

はがき / Post-card

佃煮 : 佃の佃煮(★)
分量がちょうど良い。
味も品がよく美味しかったです。

Tsukudani
The company website : ★ only in Japanese Tsukudani is small seafood, 
meat or seaweed that has been simmered
 in soy sauce and mirin.
In this case, they are seafood, walnuts, pine nuts and sanshō (Japanese pepper)
Quantities are just right.

The tastes are elegant and delicious.

おかき、一気に食べてしまいました。お酒も美味しくいただきました。
Sちゃん、ありがとう〜〜！

Gratitude!
I ate Okaki at once, Okaki is a type of Japanese rice cracker.
I enjoyed sake, too.

2018年8月庭 / Garden in August, 2018

大きなカタツムリ
窓格子に大きなカタツムリを発見！英国では歓迎されないカタツムリですが、
日本では結構愛されています。
おそらく国民の98%くらいが知っているカタツムリの童謡 : ★
の影響のように思います。

Big Snail
I found a big snail on the window grid!
It is a snail that is not welcomed in the UK, 
but it is quite loved in Japan.
It is perhaps because the influence of the children's song about a Snail : ★
and is probably known about by 98% of Japanese people.

撮影のために窓際へ移動させました。
一見かわいいけれど、観察し始めるとちょっと気持ち悪いかな？
英国民の気持ちも理解できます。

I moved it to the window for photographs.
Seemingly cute, is it a bit disappointing to start observing?
I can understand the feelings of British people.

彼(彼女？)の家は貝殻にそっくり。
His (or her? ) house looks like a sea shell.

裏庭の百合
今年、突然百合が咲きました。
裏庭に2つ、表庭に1つ。
嬉しい驚きです。

Lilies in Back Garden
This year, suddenly lilies bloomed.
Two in the back garden and one in the front garden.





裏庭の百合は2つともかなり高いです。
Both lilies in the backyard are quite tall.

生姜の花 / Ginger Flowers
表庭では生姜の花が初めて咲きました。
私の人生で、初めて生姜の花を見ました。

It was the first time Ginger flowers blooming in the front garden.
Actually this was the first time in my life I had seen saw ginger flowers.

生姜も背が高い！
Ginger is also tall!

2018 年7月 庭 / My Garden in July, 2018

クワガタ
玄関前にクワガタを発見！
大きなクワガタを見たのは何十年ぶり....
木の根元に移し、撮影。
あとで見ているといなくなっていたのでほっとしました。

Stag Beetle
I found a stag beetle in front of the entrance!.
For the first time in decades I saw a big stag beetle.
I moved it to the base of the tree and photographed.
Later I looked at there, it has gone so I was relieved.

ニチニチソウ
初めてニチニチソウ (日々草)を植えました。
元気に育ってよく花を咲かせます。

Catharanthus Roseus
It was the first time I planted Catharanthus Roseus.
It grows up well and flowers often bloom.

蘭
枯れかかっていた蘭が持ちなおしてたくさんの花をつけました。
嬉しい！
鉢の中の発泡スチロールを小石に変えたのがよかったようです。

Orchid
The orchid, which was fading, recovered and produced a lot of flowers.
I am glad!
It seems that it was better to change the styrofoam in the pot to pebbles.

柿の実
柿の実がついたことを喜んでいましたが
まだ青いうちにリスか鳥に齧られて、赤くならないうちに殆どの実が
落ちてしまいました。

Persimmon Fruits 
I was pleased that the persimmon had fruits, however,
squirrels or birds bit them while they were still green, 
and almost all the fruits fell before they grew.

2019年4月の個展に向けてリトグラフ作品を制作しています。

I am producing lithograph works for my exhibition in April 2019.

磁器とリトグラフ作品の展示。
何かを求めて生き、旅や冒険をし、作品を制作します。
今回は、その何かは、光。

1) "Papa Noel (パパノエル)"

神戸在住のS先輩に鎌倉で会いました。

昨年11月に彼女の絵更紗のグループ展が兵庫県芦屋市でありました。

グループ展については下記。

鎌倉では、まずはランチ、"Papa Noel (パパノエル)"へ行きました。

Papa Noel サイト : ★

"Papa Noel"は、小さなレストランで気軽に利用できます。

材料をあまりいじらず素材を生かすお料理、量もちょうど良いと私は感じています。

白ワインは私だけ。
私たちはランチセットのコースは同じですが
二つの前菜のうち、一つは違うものを選びました。

Only I had a glass of white wine.
We had the same courses of set lunch

although we each chose one of the two starters.

"Papa Noel"

In Kamakura, I met one of my seniors, S San who lives in Kobe.

There was her Esarasa group exhibition :  "Esarasa" : Chintz-style textile in Ashiya City, Hyōgo Prefecture in last November.

Anyway we first visited "Papa Noel" for our lunch in Kamakura.

"Papa Noel" Website :  ★ only in Japanese 

 "Papa Noel" is a small casual restaurant.

I feel their cooking does not interfere with the ingredients, meaning ingredients keep own taste and the amount is just right.

Sさんはとうものこしのスープで私はジュレを選びました。
S San selected a sweetcorn soup and I chose seafood Jelly.

男性にはものたりないかも？

It might be unsatisfactory for a man?

デザート
実はパパノエルで私が一番好きなのはデザートです。
通常甘いものが苦手な私ですがパパノエルのデザートはいただきます。
とくにメインにフルーツが使用されているものが好き。
シェフのご実家は、長野で果樹園を経営されていて果物はそこからやってきます。


Dessert
Actually my most  favorite dish in "Papa Noel" is their desserts.
I usually do not like sweets, but I am going to have dessert here.
Especially, I like sweets which use mainly fruits.
The chef's parents are running an orchard in Nagano
and fruits come from there.

常設展示のほか、特別展を開催

They held permanent exhibits as well as special exhibitions.

"Papa Noel"の後に、彼女を鎌倉文学館へ案内しました。

Sさんの幼馴染が横浜に住んでいらっしゃるので、彼女は鎌倉へはなんども来ていて大方の観光地はすでに回っていました。

けれども鎌倉文学館はまだ行ったことがなく、"Papa Noel"から近いので、是非にと思って案内しました。

Sさんは丁寧に興味深く展示を見ていました。



感想を聞くと、とても喜んでくださっていたので、私もすごく嬉しかったです。

Kamakura Museum of Literature

After "Papa Noel", I guided her to the Kamakura Museum of Literature : ★.

Since her childhood friends live in Yokohama, she had come to Kamakura many times and had already visited most of tourist spots around.

She was carefully interested in seeing the exhibits.

I asked her the impression, she was extremely pleased, and I was also very happy.
