1) たくさんのお土産 / Many Souvenirs 
Sちゃんに連れていってもらったお店でほとんど買いました。

[gift ギフト]: ★では、職人さんが判子を使用して柄を製作したハンカチや手ぬぐい、"今日香"(キョウカ)では手ぬぐいを買いました。

彼女が案内してくれるお店で、好みのものが見つかって嬉しかったし、楽をさせてもらいました。

私は、観光地へ行った時に、ほとんど、お土産を買うことができません。

金沢では本当によく欲しいものが見つかりました。

もし友人が鎌倉を訪ねて、私がガイド役をしたのなら、素敵なお店が友人に紹介できるか不安です。

Sちゃんは、金沢のことをよく知っているな〜と感心しました。

Hちゃんの関西土産、Sちゃんからの金沢土産、

そして自分で買った金沢土産。

実はこのほかにも、Sちゃんからの 'ホタルイカの干物' がありました。

それは帰宅後、速攻で食べてしまい、撮影できませんでした。(苦笑)

Actually, besides these, there was dried firefly squids from S chan.

After arriving home, I immediately ate them

and I could not photograph. (Wry smile).

There are also handkerchiefs with the same pattern.

Many Souvenirs 
Most souvenirs I bought came form shops which S chan showed me.

My souvenirs were some handkerchiefs and Tenugui : Japanese towel, by handmakers using stamps, from a shop, "[g] ift - Hokuriku": ★, 
and some Tenugui from another shop, “Kyoka”.

I was delighted to find that I liked things in the shops she had guided me to, which made choosing  souvenirs easy.

I can rarely buy souvenirs when I go to sightseeing spots.

I often found something I like in Kanazawa.

If friends visit Kamakura, I would guide them, although I'm worried that I can introduce nice shops to my friends.

S chan knows Kanazawa well and I am impressed.

お麩は、金沢のお土産として有名です。

'Fu' ; wheat gluten is famous as a souvenir in Kanazawa.

石川県の郷土玩具「加賀八幡起上り」をモチーフにした

"加賀八幡 起上もなか"がかわいい。

"Kagahachiman Okiagari Monaka"

"Kagahachiman Okiagari Monaka" is the motif of 

Ishikawa Prefecture's local toy "Kaga Hachiman Okiagari"

美味しくて、一両日中に3つすべて食べてしまいました。
The three are delicious, so I ate them in a couple of days.

2) お店 / Shop

Very low doorway, reminiscent of Chashistu

Chashistu in Japanese tradition, is an architectural space designed 

to be used for formal tea ceremony.
When people enter Chashitsu, 
they have to use the very low doorway : "Nijiriguchi", below.

上のお店の写真のアイディアは面白いし、デザインも綺麗だと感じます。

茶室の入り口がなぜ低いかと言えば、頭を上げて入るようにであって、それは、

謙虚な気持ちを促すことが目的です。

それを考慮すると、お店の低い入り口は、お店に入るお客たちに謙虚であることを求めることであり、それは売る側としては驕った考えではないかという私の考えが起き、そのデザインやアイディアに違和感を持ちました。

私はこのデザインを見てすぐに躙口 (ニジリグチ) を連想してしまったのですが、
お店のアイディアの元は、躙口ではないのかもしれません。

Shop

The idea in upper photograph is interesting, I feel that the design is also beautiful.

However, why it is said that the entrance to the tea room : Chashitsu is low, is because when people go into the tea room they must make their head lower which suggests visitors modesty, and similarly  this shop insists their customers should be modest when entering the shop, which made my thought that this is arrogant for 

a shop and I felt a sense of incongruity.

Although when I saw this design I straightaway had an image of Nijiriguchi : Chashitsu's entrance, but maybe their idea is different.

3) 漆器 / Lacquer

Sちゃんがずっと買いたいと思っていた漆器のお盆を私達が訪ねたことがきっかけで、彼女は買いました！

金沢に住んだのなら、漆器が欲しくなるのは当然です。

漆器は金沢の伝統工芸ですもね。

Lacquer

S chan had wanted to buy  a lacquerware tray for a long time, and by chance she bought two trays while we visited her.

If you lived in Kanazawa it is natural that you would like lacquerware.

Lacquerware is a traditional craft of Kanazawa, isn't it?

後日、Sちゃんが送ってくれた写真。
美しい漆器は料理も心も豊かにします。
Sちゃんが元気をとりもどしますよう〜に！

4) アップル・ブック  / Apple Book

SちゃんとHちゃんにお礼がしたいと思いました。

もともと彼女達には写真を送ろうと思っていました。

私は、通常、写真がたくさんある場合は、CDに写真のデータを入れて送っていました。

けれでも、この方法は、人によっては迷惑に感じるのだと気がつかされました。

ネットを利用して、多くの人に見てもらう方法があるのは、見せてもらう側としては知っていましたが、私が見せる側としては設定できませんでした。

何ができるかといえば、非常にオーソドックスにアルバムを作ることでした。

こんな私でも、お手軽に作れるアップルブックでアルバムを作成しました。

ちょっと編集、そのほか、時間はかかりますが、二人に送ったら喜んでもらえたので、よかったです。

私の記念にもなりました。

SちゃんとHちゃん、ありがとう！

またいつか一緒に会えることを願っています。

Apple Book
I wanted to do something as a 'Thank you' for S chan and H chan.

Originally I thought that I would send photographs to them.

I usually send photo data on a CD and posted it if there are many photographs.

However, I found out that this method feels very annoying for some people, because it is tiresome for them.

I knew that there are some ways to show photographs to many people using internet, however, I cannot use these methods.

What could I do ? Oh! Yes! I can make an album, very orthodox.

Even I can create an Apple book as an album, and I did.

The books needed a little effort and time for editing, arranging and others, but it was nice, because after sending, they were pleased.

The album also became my memento.

S chan and H chan, thank you!

I hope to see you again someday soon.
