1) 金沢クラフト広坂 / Kanazawa Craft Hirosaka
金沢21世紀美術館で、友人Sちゃんと会ったのちに、彼女の案内で、金沢クラフト広坂 (ヒロサカ) へ行きました。
公式サイト : ★
'金沢クラフト広坂'は、金沢の伝統工芸品を売っています。
一般的なお土産やさんよりも値段はちょっと高いかもしれませんが、商品の品が
よく、個性が感じられました。
Sちゃんから金沢の伝統工芸についての説明を受けながら、商品を見ました。
Sちゃんは金沢生まれではありませんが、金沢がとても好きで金沢に住んでいますし、この先ずっと金沢を出ることはないでしょう。

Kanazawa Craft Hirosaka
After meeting with my friend S chan in the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, I went to 'Kanazawa Craft Hirosaka' with her guidance.

'Kanazawa Craft Hirosaka' sells traditional crafts of Kanazawa.
The price may be slightly higher than general souvenir shops, but their things are good and I felt they have individuality.
While we looked at things she explained about the traditional crafts of Kanazawa.
She was not born in Kanazawa, but she likes Kanazawa very much and lives in Kanazawa, she will never leave Kanazawa.
ショーウィンドウの三色だんご : 花見だんご
Sちゃんから水引 (ミズヒキ) は金沢では有名であると聞きました。
この三色だんご(花見だんご)は、水引で作られています。
水引そのものが金沢で作られているわけではありませんが、
上の写真のような水引を応用した水引細工 (加賀水引) が有名です。

Colour Dango : Hanami Dango in Show-window
I
heard from S chan
that Mizuhiki ; string is famous in Kanazawa.
Mizuhiki
itself is not produced in Kanazawa,
though
handiwork which utilizes Mizuhiki is made like this : Kaga Mizuhiki, above.
These
"Three Colour Dango: Hanami Dango" are made of Mizuhiki,
normally Dango is food, below. 
三色だんご : 花見だんご
桜色は桜を春の息吹を、白は雪で冬の名残を、緑はヨモギで夏への予兆を
表現していると言われています。
Three Colour Dango: Hanami
It is said that the three colours each represent,
Pink : cherry blossoms as spring of the breaths (spring in the air),
White : snow as traces of winter,
Green : Yomogi : Japanese Mugwort as a sign of summer.

祝儀袋の水引
Shūgi-bukuro
: Gift Money Envelope
Mizuhiki is
a decoration used in the event of a celebration or a misfortune and it is decorative string such as red and white or black and white to be put on a wrapping paper or an envelope ; Shūgi-bukuro or Fushūgi-bukuro. |
刺繍
(加賀刺繍)
も金沢の伝統工芸のひとつです。
絹地の色や柄は様々な組み合わせがあり、手作りなので、同じ柄、同じ色のものでも、その表情が全てが違います。
私は、祝儀袋の水引の柄を選び、いくつもの候補野中から一つ選んだのですが偶然にもSちゃんもそれが好きだったようです。
微妙な違いがわかり、好みも似ていることは、なんとなく、友人として嬉しいです。
I
bought a strap embroidered with "Lucky Patterns : Kisshou Moyo"
, it is called 'Mamefuku' (you can see a picture here →★) for my friend, A chan who
wears Kimono well.
"Embroidery
: Kaga
Embroidery" is one of the traditional crafts in Kanazawa.
There
are various colour combinations of patterns and silk bases and things are
handmade, so even if the same combinations are used, their
expressions are all different.
I
chose a ribbon pattern of Shūgi-bukuro and
selected one from the many choices, by chance S chan
also liked the same one.
Somehow
I am happy she is a friend who understands the subtle differences and
whose favourites are similar to mine.
2) しいのき迎賓館 / Shiinoki Cultural Complex
A. 建物 / Building
"石川県政記念しいのき迎賓館" は、金沢クラフト広坂の近くにあり、旧石川県庁舎跡地に開業した多目的施設です。
建物は、庁舎をそのまま保存しているようです。
石川県政しいのき迎賓館
建築は矢橋賢吉 (ヤバシ ケンキチ / 1869 -1927)
旧石川県庁として1924年 (大正13年) に竣工。
石川県内の建築物としては初めて鉄筋コンクリート構造を採用しました。
ちなみに、矢橋賢吉は国会議事堂の設計に携わった人です。
Shiinoki Cultural Complex, Ishikawa Prefecture
Design by Kenkichi Yabashi (1869 -1927)
It was built as a Prefectural Office in 1924.
By the way Kenkichi Yabashi was,
for a time, the lead architect of Japanese Houses of Parliament. |
"Shiinoki Cultural Complex, Ishikawa Prefecture" is a multipurpose facility opened in the former Ishikawa Prefectural Government Office site, located near 'Kanazawa Craft Hirosaka'.

The Kanazawa Castle Park side is glassed-in and we can see that famous stone wall (later refers : C. 石垣 / Stone Walls).
The building seems to preserve the old building as it is.

B. シイノキ / Shiinoki

撮影した時には樹齢300年とは知りませんでした。
この大きさと形が珍しいな〜と思ったので撮影しました。
In
front of the building is a
pair of "Shiinoki" which are 300 years old
and
they are designated a
Japanese National
Monument.
When
I photographed, I did not know that they are 300 years old.
I
thought that this size and shape is unusual ~ I took a photograph.

C. 石垣 / Stone Walls
出入口や庭園といった場所に応じて、特殊な技術やデザインが工夫され、何度も
修築が繰り返されたので、現在、さまざまな種類の石垣を見ることができ、金沢城は「石垣の博物館」と呼ばれています。
Stone Walls
After Maeda Toshiie (1538 - 1599) entered Kanazawa Castle in 1583 full-scale stone wall building began.
Special techniques and designs were devised according to places such as entrances and gardens, and later repaired many times, so now we can see various kinds of stone wall in Kanazawa Castle and it is called
"Ishigaki Museum : Stone Wall Museum."

Since
I haven't visited Kanazawa Castle, all the photographs are from "Shiinoki Cultural Complex, Ishikawa Prefecture" site.

3) 夕飯 / Dinner
Sちゃんが印象懸命リサーチして、選んでくれたお店 : "かぶ菜"です。

おしゃべりができる気軽な雰囲気で、お料理もお酒も美味しくて、酒飲みの私たちにぴったりなお店でした。
Dinner
S chan researched carefully about our dinner place and she selected a Japanese pub restaurant : "Kabuna".

It was a casual atmosphere that allowed us to talk and it was a delicious food and sake, so a perfect drinking place for us.

love Shirako : Milt. I ate it for the first time in a long time.

may be the first time I ate Shirako's tempura?

Sちゃんは少食にもかかわらず、私のためにかなり注文してくれました。
そのうえ、お店の方にすすめられたこの大きなきのこ

chan ordered quite a lot for me even though she has a small appetite.
I
wanted to eat one and ordered.
S chan,

バター焼き、レモン、わさび添え
肉厚で食感もよく、しいたけの味が一口で十分楽しめました。
けれどボリュームあるので、最後は無理やり食べた感がなきにしもあらず...
注文を後悔はしていませんが、ちょっともったいない食べ方をしてしまいました。
Butter Roast Mushroom with lemon and wasabi.
It
was thick and had a good texture,
and
I enjoyed the taste of 'Shiitake' fully, even just a bite.
However,
because it had volume as well by the end
my
feeling had a sense of eating forcibly ...

加賀蓮根蒸し
Sちゃんは、これ、家でも作るそうです。まあ、よくこんな手間のかかる (私にとっては) お料理を作るものです。 すごい！すごい！ いつも彼女は彼女のお料理を卑下しますが、彼女が作るものは手間がかかっていて、 私は彼女は自分のお料理をする必要ないと思っています。 でも、もしかしかしたら、美味しいものをよく知っていてお料理する人は自分のお料理に満足しないのかもしれませんね。

S chan even makes this at home.
Well,
this takes time and is such a trouble (for me) to cook.
She
is amazing!
She
constantly disparages her own cooking
and what she makes is time consuming,
I think that she does not have to be self-critical.
But, perhaps, those who know delicious food and cooking
might not be satisfied with their own cooking, might they?

この他にもおさかな料理、他を食べましたが、写真の出来が悪すぎて、残念ながらお見せできません。
美味しく、楽しくすごしました。

In addition to this we ate fish dishes etc., but my photographs are too bad, unfortunately I cannot show them.
