2,3年前にも彼女は鎌倉で個展を開きましたが、私は行くことができませんでした。
ですが、Rが私の代わりに行ってくれました。
今回は、私とR、二人揃って、Satomiちゃんの個展に伺うことができました。
Satomiちゃんの許可を得た写真をこのセクションに載せています。

My young friend, Satomi, who I met in Kamakura, held her latest exhibition.
She held her exhibition in Kamakura a couple of years ago, although I could not go.
However, R went instead of me.
This time, I and R, were together and were able to visit Satomi's Exhibition.
I have Satomi's permission about the photographs I show in this section.

入ってすぐにモビールが目につきました。
そういえば、モビール作りのワークショップを彼女は
個展期間中に開いていました。
この個展の中心は、モビールなのかな？と...。
As soon as I entered the mobile appeared.
Oh! Yes! She held workshops for making mobiles during her Exhibition.

"苺畑に喜びの歌" / "Joyful Song in a Strawberry Field"

彼女の作品の中に"土の匂いがする花たち"があり、そのコメントは詩のようです。
Satomiちゃんの絵は、金子みすゞの詩集『わたしと小鳥とすずと』に合うように思います。
There
was "Flowers that smell of Earth" among her works and
its comment was like a poem.
I
feel the rhythm of poetry by Misuzu
Kaneko (1903 - 1930).
In
my view her pictures would suit the poetry collection : "I,
Little Bird, and Bell": “Watashi to Kotori to Suzu to” by
Misuzu Kaneko.

bumble bee とはクマバチではなくマルハナバチの英名であり、
訳としては「マルハナバチの飛行」が正しい。
また、ディズニーの『くまのプーさん』の挿絵にハチミツ壷と共に描かれる可愛い蜂は色パターンからミツバチではなくマルハナバチなのではとの指摘があり、

"ミソラさんとメジロ"
'ミソラさん'は彼女が作ったキャラクターの一人で、もう一人は、'ツチコ'さんです。 "Misora and Mejiro" 'Misora' is one of her created characters and another one is 'Tsuchiko'.
Mejiro is Japanese

| '素敵な春のお届け物' 彼女は個展開催時に、モビール作りのワークショップを開いていました。 そこに参加した少女が桜を拾って届けてくれていました。 その子がはにかみながら笑顔で置いて行く姿がとても可愛らしかったです。 (写真、ぼけちゃってすみません） 'Lovely Spring Delivery' She held workshops for making mobiles in her exhibition. A girl, who had participated in the workshop, picked up cherry flowers and delivered them. The child was shy leaving the flowers with her smile, very pretty. (Sorry for this photo, blurring) |
Satomiちゃん自身も彼女の作品も、桜を届けてくれた少女のような気持ちを起こさせます。
彼女の作品は、人を優しい気持ちにさせ、自然の中の美しさや不思議さを発見させ、感じさせてくれます。
彼女の絵には未完成の魅力があります。
世の中に絵の上手い人、口がたつ人はたくさんいます。
けれども、Satomiちゃんの絵にある魅力がある作品はなかなかないと思います。
科学でも、論理でも、奇抜なアイディアでもなく、そこに魅力ある彼女の絵があるだけで、世の中、平和になるように感じます。
ということで、私とRは彼女の小さな絵を額付き (下の写真) 買いました。

Both Satomi herself and her work make us feel like the girl who delivered cherry blossoms.
Her work makes viewers feel gentle and let's us discover the beauty and wonder in nature.
Her painting has unfinished charm.
There are many people who are good at painting and have silver tongues.
However, I think that there is not much work around that has as much charm as there is in Satomi's pictures.
It is not science, not logic, no strange idea, but there seems to be peace in the world just by having her attractive picture.
So I and R bought her small picture with its frame, above.
