金沢在住のSちゃんに会いに行きます。

"北陸新幹線・かがやき" を往復利用しました。


I was going to meet S chan living in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.

I used the "Hokuriku Shinkansen,  Kagayaki" round-trip.

金沢で、とても行きたかった '金沢21世紀美術館' へ行き、念願を果たしました。
金沢21世紀美術館・公式サイト : ★

'金沢21世紀美術館' は、2004年に開館し、開館当時の館長は、

蓑豊 (ミノユタカ / 1941 -)氏でした。

蓑豊氏は、30年以上の海外生活経験を持ち、1995年、大阪市立美術館を立ち上げ、2004年に金沢21世紀美術館を立ち上げました。(蓑豊氏は金沢生まれ)

新しい美術館、とくに現代美術館は郊外にある場合が多いというのが私の印象ですが、'金沢21世紀美術館' は、街の中心地にあり、他の観光名所にも近いです。

兼六園は目と鼻の先、兼六園は過去に行ったことがあったので、今回の予定には入れていませんでした。

近くの"鈴木大拙館"には行こうと思っていましたが、  '金沢21世紀美術館' のみでいっぱいいっぱいでした。

I wanted to visit the '21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa' in Kanazawa  and I made it.

The 21st Century Museum opened in 2004 and at that time Mino Yutaka  (1941 -) was the director.

Mino Yutaka was born in Kanazawa, Japan and has overseas living experience for over 30 years, after returning to Japan he was appointed the director of Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts in 1995, and the founding director of 21st Century Art Museum, Kanazawa in 2004.

My impression is that new museums, especially contemporary art museums are often located in the suburbs, however, the 21st Century Art Museum, Kanazawa is located in the centre of the city and close to other tourist attractions.

"Kenroku-en", is an old private garden which  is very close, I have been there so my plan did not have the Garden this time.

I had wanted to also visit the "D.T. SUZUKI MUSEUM" which is near to the 21st Century Art Museum, but  the 21st Century Art Museum took all my time and energy so I did not go.

The "D.T. SUZUKI MUSEUM" is definitely the top priority in Kanazawa next time because I really want to visit it

下記、建築についてサイトからまとめました。
円であることによって、建物に正面や裏側という区別がなく、どこからでも人が入れるというデザインです。

建物の回廊部分を一周すると、様々な特徴のある施設を巡ることができます。

外壁や建物内の壁面の多くにガラスを採用し、透明で、明るく、開放的であるようにしています。

またそれは、内部と外部の異なる空間にいる者同士が互いの様子や気配を感じ取ることができ、それは来場者の出会いの場面を作ります。

According to their site about the architecture,

"The glass-made circle results in an ambiguous spatial definition. a kind of reversible membrane, through which visitors can sense each other's presence. 

The museum pays careful attention to its openness and brightness from the courtyards with sky-lights. 

The Museum, in order to meet various needs of visitors, has also a shop and restaurant open to the night. The aim of the Museum is "casualness", "enjoyment", and "accessibility"."

春休みからなのか、学生風の若い人たちがたくさんいて驚きました。

みんな楽しそう....円というのは良い効果があるように思います。

あっ、この椅子は移動可能です。

I was surprised to see that there were many young people

 who seemed to be students, they might be in spring vacation.

Normally Japanese students  have spring vacations. 

Everyone seems to be having fun .... Circles seem to have good effects.

Oh, these chairs are movable.

地面に雪が残っています。アート作品ではないですよ。
There is still snow on the ground. It is not art work.

and a white fence was installed.

子どもが内部に入って遊ぶこともできます。
でも白いフェンスがあるので、
この作品に入って行きたいと思わせないかもしれません。
ちょっと閉じ込められるような気がしませんか？

Children can enter inside and play.
However, while there is a fence, it may not make them want to go into this work.
Doesn't  it seem a bit confined?

スーツケースを置いて楽しめるのは、日本だからこそですね。

They can enjoy there, leaving their suitcases outside only place.

《カラー・アクティヴィティ・ハウス》2010: ★

オラファー・エリアソン (1967 -) 作

この作家を有名にしたのは、テート・モダン(ロンドン) のタービン・ホールで

発表した《The weather project / ウェーザー・プロジェクト : ★》(下の作品)。

私は、ウェーザー・プロジェクトを見て大きな衝撃を受けました。

英国留学の初期で、この衝撃を受けたのでとても記憶に残っています。

あの作品と同じ作家だったのですね〜....。

I saw "The Weather Project" and received a great shock.

In the early years of studying in Britain, 
I received this shock so I remember it very clearly.

So he is the same artist as created "The Weather Project", isn't he?

私がこの作品を見たときは、多くの人が床に寝そべって見ていました。

金沢21世紀美術館が人々に愛されてるのを感じ、嬉しくなりました。

金沢21世紀美術館の成功を感じます。

開館当時の館長の蓑豊氏が予算を子供達に無料で見せるために使用した結果が、

ここにあると感じます。

I felt happy that The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa is loved by people.

I feel the success of the 21st Century Museum.

In my view the first director, Mino Yutaka used the budget of the Museum for showing art works to children free of charge and the results are here.

下記、2011年の蓑豊氏のコメント。

"私は、本当にこどもたちが小さいころに感動してほしいと思っています。

小さいころに覚えたその感動は一生忘れません。

その子は必ず１００％自分にこどもができたときに美術館、コンサートにこどもを連れて行っています。

これはヨーロッパのデータで統計的にはっきり出ているんです。

こどものときに美術館に行っていない人は、１００％近く自分が大人になってこどもができても連れて来ていません。

このデータは、日本でも同じだと思います。 "

"私は「目玉になるような、モネ、ルノワール、誰もが知っている作品を１点買え、お金はいくらでも出す」と言われました。

でも、私は「その予算で、金沢の学校のこどもたちを全員呼びたい」と言いました。

それをすると５０００万円かかります。

もう大反対です。

それでも「やらせてくれ」とお願いしました。

で、こどもたちを全員呼ぶことを３ヵ月の間にやりました。

それが、いまの来館数１５０万人。

リピーターですよ！金沢市民が４～５回、少なくとも２～３回は来てくれているんですよ。

もちろん外からもたくさん来てくださっています。

だけどそれ以上に地元の人のサポートがなかったら、１５０万人なんてありえない。

こどもたちが親を連れてきてくれたんだと思います。

そのぐらい市民にとって、美術館はシンボルになるし誇りになっていると思います。"

蓑豊氏は、現在兵庫県立美術館の館長、兵庫県立美術館も金沢のようになってほしいです。

可愛らしい少女達！ 
アート作品を素直に楽しんでいるのが微笑ましいし、
素晴らしいと思います。

下記、この作品について、美術館のサイトより。

"金沢21世紀美術館の建物を取り囲む芝生に設置された12 個のチューバ状に開いた筒は、地中を通る管が2 個ずつペアでつながっていて伝声管の役割を果たしています。

このペアはかならずしも隣同士のラッパではなく、思わぬところへ声が伝わり、思わぬ声が聞こえてきます。

きわめて単純な構造ですが、この仕組みによって、音が迷宮に彷徨うかのような風景が立ち現れます。

ドイツ語の作品タイトルの意味は、「音のフィールド」です。

フロリアン・クラールは、作家活動の初期から音が持つ可能性を反映させた作品制作に興味を抱き続けており、本作品はそのひとつの展開といえます。"

地球の反対側の人と知り合うような気がする作品です。

また、私は、『王様の耳はロバの耳』の話を連想しました。

おもしろくて、ロマンがあって、ファンタジー色も感じられる作品です。

また、音を利用しているところは、体験型の現代アートらしいな〜と思います。

According to their website about this work,

"Twelve pipes that bell out like tubas are installed in the lawn surrounding the Museum. 
Each pipe passes underground and connects to another pipe, and each pair of pipes performs as a speaking tube. 

The bells of the paired pipes do not necessarily stand near one another, however, and hence, the speaker’s voice will be sent somewhere unexpected, and an entirely unexpected voice will be heard. 

While simple in structure, this contrivance produces a landscape where sound seems to travel through a labyrinth. 

The word “klangfeld” of the German title means “sound field.” 

The work is an expression of artist Florian Claar’s fascination with producing artworks that explore the possibilities of sound—a fascination propelling him since his early career."

I feel this work let us talk with someone on the other side of the earth.

Also, I was reminded of the story of "The King with Donkey's Ears" based on "Midas".

(The story come from Greek Mythology )

In my view this work is interesting, romantic and fantasy.

Also, I think that a point of this work is using sound, it suits being 'Experience-oriented Contemporary Art'.
