| 屋内マップ 屋内を歩いてみて実感したことは、ちょっと迷路のようで、 自分が今どこにいるのか見失いがちでした。 まあ、それが面白いのかもしれません。 Inside Map What I realized when I walked around inside was that here seemed to be bit like a maze and I tended to lose where I was in the building. Well, that might be fun. |

"見ることは、多くの人にとって、当たり前の行為ですが、意識を持って見るということは案外に難しく、それゆえに色々なことを見過ごしてしまいがちです。
美術館という場所は、作品を「見ること」、「愛でること」、「考えること」に適した場所です。

美術作品を鑑賞することが好きという方も、苦手という方も、この展覧会にご来場いただいた方に、「まずは作品をよく見ることから始めましょう」と言いたい。
展覧会「見ることの冒険」はそこから始まります。
作品に、いつもより気持ちの上でもう一歩近づいてみる、いつもより10秒長く立ち止まってみる、見尽くしたと思っても、もう少し見てみる。

現代美術は、ただ感じれば良いという考え方があります。
現代美術だけでなく、アート作品を見るときは、その見方は間違ってはいないと私は思います。
ですが、ときには、いろいろ考えても良いかなと思います。
いつもあまり考えて生きていない私は、せめて、美術館やギャラリーで作品を見るときは、怠惰な脳を活性化するためにも、思い巡らしたほうが良いと思っています。
そうは言っても、深い思考はできないので、結局感じるだけなのかもしれません。

"Seeing is something most of us take for granted.
Yet, to consciously see is surprisingly difficult, and as a result, we tend to miss much of what there is to see.
An art museum is a place for “seeing,” “admiring,” and “thinking about” artworks. To the visitors to this exhibition, whether they normally enjoy viewing artworks or find it difficult, we would like to say, “First of all, begin by seeing well.”

Discoveries, surprises, and new feelings will come to you in an experience really no different from an adventure story.

There is an idea in contemporary art that you just feel something about works.
When
viewing any art work, not only contemporary art, in my view, that
idea is not wrong.
However,
sometimes, it is alright that I think various thoughts.
I usually live not thinking so much, so at least when I see works in
museums or galleries, it is better for me to think about them in order to
activate the lazy brain.
Even
so, I cannot think deeply, so maybe I just feel it.

ひとつの展示室にひとつの作品という贅沢な展示の仕方をしています。
視覚と聴覚に訴える作品なので、その展示は、作品の世界を守っていました。
摩訶不思議な世界を十分に各展示室で楽しめました。

They exhibited luxuriously with just a single work in one exhibition room.
Because it is a work appealing to the sense of sight and hearing, the exhibit kept the world of the work.
I could enjoy the mysterious worlds enough.

Simply by looking at the exhibition's leaflet (the same design as the poster, above) and the poster, I imagined that it would be my favourite type of world.

"THE KILLING MACHINE", 2007
最初に見た作品がこれでした。
こわかったけれど、魔法にかけられたように最後を見届けるまで、
その場を動けませんでした。
歯医者さんをイメージさせ、そのあと、
映画『時計じかけのオレンジ』
[1962, 製作・監督・脚本：スタンリー・キューブリック (1928 - 1999)]
を連想しました。
It was the first time I saw this work.
I was afraid, but I could not move from there
until I saw the end, as if it magically cast a spell on me. This work made my image of a dentist, and then reminded me of
a film, "Clockwork Orange"

Their works remind me of MUTTONI (1956 - : ★)'s world (below), too.
I love MUTTONI 's world...the world of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller is more frightening then the MUTTONI 's world, however, I like their world, too.
