A. オスロ・コーヒー / OSLO COFFEE
友人TJがRと私を車で東京へ連れて行ってくれました。
Hさんは、手作りの燻製食品やティーコージー、DIYなど幅広く、いろいろなものが作る人です。
彼女が作ったものは、どれも、素晴らしいできばえで、いつも驚かされ、刺激を受けます。
そして今は、TJと仕事をしつつ、ペルシア語も習っているのでした。
彼女の勉強が終わったら合流する予定でしたので、私達は彼女を待つ間、五反田の街を散策しました。
TJは東京生まれで、彼の友人が五反田に住んでいて、よく遊びに来たそうです。
私は五反田の街を初めて歩きます。(Rも初めてです、きっと)
まずは、カフェへ。
TJがリサーチしてくれていた、"オスロ・コーヒー / Oslo Coffee" (五反田店) に行きました。

OSLO COFFEE
Our friend TJ, R and me drove to Tokyo by TJ's car.
H san is TJ's partner, also our friend who is learning Persian language in Gotanda, Tokyo.
H san makes a wide variety of things, including handmade smoked foods, tea cozies, and DIY.
Everything she has made is a wonderful job, I am always amazed and stimulated.
And now, while working with TJ, she also learns Persian.
After her study was over, we planned to join her, so we strolled around the city of Gotanda while waiting for her.
TJ was born in Tokyo and his friend lived in Gotanda, he said he had sometimes visited Gotanda.
It is the first time I walked the streets in Gotanda, R was also the first time, surely.
First, off to the cafe.

ここ何年か、私的に北欧ブームです。
2017年にフィンランドの首都、ヘルシンキに行き、その旅行をブログにも載せましたが、そのときも、ヘルシンキをスカンディナヴィアの1つととらえていました。
ヘルシンキ旅行については下記。

を指し、スウェーデン、デンマーク、ノルウェーの三ヶ国が、スカンディナヴィアと呼ばれるのだと、今、知りました。
スカンディナヴィア半島にフィンランドは含まれていると思っていました。
(大きな意味でいえば、含まれるようです）

英国は北ヨーロッパに含まれるのだと、初めて認識しました。
(バルト三国 :エストニア、ラトヴィア、リトアニア も北ヨーロッパです)
また、北欧と北ヨーロッパは、違うということも初めて知りました。
(今更ですが、北欧と北ヨーロッパは同じ意味と思っていました)
私は、英国は、ヨーロッパの一つという認識しかもっていず、ヨーロッパの東西南北のどこかという思考をもっていませんでした。
言葉を変えると、英国はヨーロッパの英国という認識でした。
'北欧的スタイル'を英訳するときには、
スカンディナビア・スタイル: Scandinavia style
としていました。

これが間違いなのか、今でもわかりません...ノルディック・スタイル: Nordic styleとするべきなのでしょうか？？？
この混同は、日本語の北欧が北ヨーロッパとノルディック・カントリーの両方を意味してしまうからなのだと思います。

Northern Europe
I understood that Northern Europe would be Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany and if it not including Germany, it would be Scandinavia.
In 2017, I went to Helsinki, the capital city of Finland, and posted the trip on my blog, but even then I saw Helsinki as part of Scandinavia.

Icelandand Norway, Sweden and Denmark are called Scandinavia.
My thought was that Finland was included in the Scandinavian Peninsula.
I recognized for the first time that the UK is included in Northern Europe.
I had only the recognition that Britain was part of Europe and I did not have the thought that Britain was in the East, West, North or South of Europe.
In the other words, my understanding was that Britain (the UK) is just Britain (the UK) in Europe.
In general Nordic Countries and Scandinavia tend to be confused, I am also confused.
When I translated 'Northern European style' from Japanese to English, I wrote Scandinavian style in English.
I do not know whether this is a mistake ... Should I use Nordic style?
This confusion is because Hokuou : 北欧 in Japanese means both Northern Europe and Nordic Countries.

バラバラだった北欧の国々が第二次世界大戦に巻き込まれて大きな苦しみを受けたことを反省し、北欧諸国の団結を目指してスカンディナヴィア三王国が中心となって、1952年に北欧理事会が設立されました。

Nordic Council
Regarding the fact that the scattered Northern European countries were involved in World War II and suffered great suffering, the Scandinavian Three Kingdoms focused on the aim of uniting the Scandinavian countries.
In 1952 the Nordic Council was established.
The Scandinavian Board of Directors is composed of the following five countries in three regions.

If it says Northern Europe, I would have the image of the Member Countries (and regions) of the Nordic Council and I cannot help it.
2) 英国スタイルパブ / British Style, Pub

"オスロ・コーヒー "を出たあと、私達はふらふらと五反田のビル街を歩きました。
私とRは、五反田について何も知らないので、TJは、以前と比べて、ずいぶん変わった街の景色を私達に説明してくれました。
途中、雨が降り始めたので、そのとき近くにあった、英国スタイルのパブに入りました。
そのパブは、"82五反田西口"、一見、チェーン店に見えませんが、チェーン店です。

後になって、"82五反田西口" と同じ系列の"HUB"が五反田にあると知りました。
"HUB"は、ダイエー創業者・中内 㓛 (ナカウチ イサオ / 1922 -2005) 氏が英国のパブ文化に感動したことを機にグループ内で事業化しました。
1980年、神戸三宮に1号店がオープン、その後、1998年にダイエーの子会社としてハブ（"HUB"）を設立しました。
"82五反田西口店"の席数は55席、英国同様、カウンターで注文し、ビール( お酒)を受け取り支払いをそこですませ、自分の席に運ぶ、キャッシュ・オン・デリバリーを用いています。
"82五反田西口" は全席喫煙席、これは英国と違いますが、"HUB"は全席禁煙で、英国により近いパブです。
ここのサイトで、英国の国土がドラゴンの姿に似ているという話 (下の画像) を見つけて、嬉しくなりました。(私はドラゴン好きですから）
この話は、初めて知りました。
Rは知っていましたか？...知らなかった！という答えです。

British Style, Pub
After leaving "Oslo Coffee", we walked around the buildings of Gotanda.
Since I and R did not know anything about Gotanda, TJ told us how the views have changed from before.
On the way, as it began to rain, we entered a British style pub that was nearby.
The pub is "The 82" which looks like one-off pub, but it is part of a chain.

Later, I found out that "HUB" is the same chain as "The 82" and is in Gotanda as well.
The founder of the Daiei Inc., Isao Nakauchi (1922 -2005) was impressed by British pubs (culture), "HUB" has taken this opportunity and expanded the business within the group.
In 1980, the first pub opened in Sannomiya, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture then in 1998
"HUB" established as a separate subsidiary of the Daiei Inc.
"The 82" has 55 seats, and as in British Pubs, we ordered at the counter, received our beer (alcohol) pay and carry it to our seats : they use a system of 'cash on delivery'.
All seats are smoking in "The 82" which is different from Britain, however, "HUB" is
a non-smoking Pub for all seats, which is closer to a British pub.
I found out a topic in their website above that the UK land is similar to the figure of the dragon and I am pleased, because I love dragons.
It was first time I heard this story.

パブのあとに、Hさんと合流し、麻布にある輸入食材店の"日進ワールドデリカテッセン"へ
車で向かいました。

3) 輸入食材店 / Imported Foodstuff Shop
"日進ワールドデリカテッセン" は、豊富な品揃えで、見ているだけでけでも、食いしん坊の私は嬉しくなってしまいます。

他の輸入食材店よりも安い気がします。
2階は食材、3階はワイン売り場になっています。
この日は、3階で赤白ワインの試飲をし、何本か赤白両方を購入。
試飲では飲みすぎないように、自分をセーヴするのが大変でした(笑)。
私達は、ここのハム売り場がお気に入り、ここに来た時は必ずいくらかのハムを買います。
H&TJカップルに感謝です。

They sell food on the 2nd level and wine on the 3rd level.
On that day, we sampled the tastes of red and white wines and bought some both.

It was hard to keep myself from drinking too much in the tasting (Laugh).
We like their ham department and when we come here we always buy some ham.
We appreciate H & TJ couple.

TJ、R と私の3人は、既に飲んでしまっている上、帰りによったレストランでもビールを飲み、Hさんだけがこの日、アルコールなしで、鎌倉の家まで、運転してくれました。
Hさん、ありがとうございました。
東京で、日本とヨーロッパの両方を楽しく、巡った日でした。
