白川郷旅行の帰路時に、新穂高ロープウェイがありました。公式サイト : ★
新穂高ロープウェイは、北アルプス穂高岳の千石尾根に敷設され、
中部山岳国立公園 (チュウブサンガクコクリツコウオエン) 内にあります。
標高2,156ｍの西穂高口駅までは乗り換えて行きます。
第2ロープウェイは、日本初、日本唯一の2階建てゴンドラで、
西穂高口駅屋上にある展望台からは、大パノラマが望めます。

Shinhotaka
Ropeway runs up the Sengoku Ridge of Mount
Hotaka, located in
Chūbu-Sangaku National Park.
Chūbu-Sangaku National Park.
We
transfer in Nishihotakaguchi Station at an altitude of 2,156m.
The No.2 ropeway is the first two-storey gondola in Japan,
and from
the observation deck on the roof of Nishihotakaguchi Station
you can see a big panorama.

残念ながら、私達は天候が悪く見られませんでした。
この展望台は、『2009年ミッシェラン・ガイド』で二つ星を獲得しています。
Looking

You
can see such a scenery like this if it is sunny from the observation
deck.
Unfortunately
we could not see, because the weather was bad.
This
observatory has won two stars with "2009 Michelin Guide".

Nishihotakaguchi
Station is the climbing start point of Mount Nishi-Hotakadake and
climbing routes lead to the "Mountain Villa Nishiho Sanso"
on the upper ridgeline so climbers seem to use this ropeway.
The
Mount Hotakadake is the generic name of Mountains chain :
Mount Okuhotaka (3,190m),
Karasawadake
(3,110m),
Kita-Hotakadake
(3,106m),
Mae-Hotakadake
(3,190m),
Nishi-Hotakadake
(2,909m)
Myoujindake
(2,931m) and others.
The main peak is Mount Okuhotaka which is the third highest peak in Japan.
The highest is, of course, Mount Fuji (3776.24 m)! and the second is Mount Kita (3,193 m).

this Shirakawa-gō Trip was a wedding anniversary trip.
So,
I thought we should have at least one photograph of us,

A professional photographer made a setting to take
a commemorative photo with this snowman.
We could not see panorama that day, fortunately the unique Mr. Nishiho is here.
But I suspect that Mr. Nihisho is a fake snowman. (Laugh)
