品川の友人 5月4, 5日/ Shinagawa Friends- 4th, 5th May

1) 友人来訪 - 5月4日/ Friends Visiting - 4th May

AちゃんTちゃんが春の香りを運んで来てくれました。

彼女らは品川に住んでいますが、野菜はTちゃんの実家、長野県からやってきました。

Tちゃんの実家は兼業農家です。

Friends Visiting - 4th May

A and T are my friends who brought spring vegetables of Nagano. 

They live in Shinagawa in Tokyo, although one of them, T came from Nagano prefecture. 

Her family manage faming along with a side job.

2) 春の野菜: わらび、こごみ、枝豆
    Spring vegetables : Warabi, Kogomi. Edamame

ごちそうさまでした！美味しかったです！

Thank you very much! They were wonderful!

3) Rのフルーツサラダ
    R's Fruit Salad

前菜は友人の野菜、主菜は私の料理、
そしてデザートはRのフルーツサラダです。

彼はフルーツサラダがとても上手！
みんなに喜ばれます。

The starters were friend's vegetables, main dishes of my cooking and R's fruit salad was served as desert.
He is good at making fruit salad. 
Everybody welcomes his fruit salad.

4) 二階堂を散歩 - 5月5日 
     Walking in Nikaido - 5th May

グリーンフィンガーのてっせん

庭仕事が上手な人を英語圏では

グリーンフィンガー/ Green finger

と呼びます。

私の好きな花、どうやら薔薇の仲間らしい。

I live this, probably one of roses.

5) 鎌倉宮の草鹿神事 (くさじし)
    Kusajishi Ceremony in Kamakura-gu

５月５日、端午の節句に行われる草鹿式 (くさじしき) が行われていました。

５人ずつ２組に別れ、鹿の形をした的にむかって交代で矢を射って
ゆきます。

起源は源頼朝が始めた軍事訓練だと言われています。

こういうことは後からわかったことで、私達がたまたま通りかかった時には、何も知りませんでした。

何？なに？ナニ〜？

興味はありましたが、ランチの予約をピッツェリア ラ ソスタにしてあったので、この儀式を最後まで見届けることはできませんでした。

来年また〜〜！

Kusajishi Ceremony in Kamakura-gu

There is a Kusajishi ceremony in Kamakura-gu, 
on the Boys' Festival,5th of May. 

There are two groups of five archers who take it in turn to shoot arrows at a target figure in the shape of a deer.

They say that Minamotono Yoritomo (who established Kamakura as capital of Japan), started it as military exercise in 1194.

Later I knew about it, when we passed there, we saw by chance and 
I did not know anything.

What?

What?

What?

I or we were interested in it, although I booked our lunch in 
Pizzeria La Sosta, so we did not watch the ceremony.

Next year again!

6) ランチ後の散歩
    Walking After Lunch

A. 村上邸 / Murakami House

ここは何回か通り、その都度写真には撮っていましたが、

景観重要建築物になっているとは知りませんでした。

I passed here and took photographs of the house a few times,

 although I did not know that Kamakura government try to protect it

 as important architecture and scenery.

7) 花々 / Flowers

A. アヤメかカキツバタかショウブか
     Iris Sanguinea Hornem or Iris Laevigata or 
     Iris Ensata?

乾いたところに咲いているので、
この写真の花はアヤメのようです。

This photograph seems to see iris sanguinea hornem, 
because there is dry.

昨年はショウブ湯に入りましたが、今年は忘れました。

今年はリハビリのことで頭がいっぱい！

We had a bath with iris ensata which is one of Japanese yearly events on the Boys' Festival, although I forgot it this year, my head is full of my rehabilitation.

B. 過保護？それとも必須？

C.満開 / In Full Blossom

以前ここに来たときは、雪が積もっていました。

今はご覧の通り！

When we came here before, they were covered with snow.

 Now as you see!

D.こんなところにシクラメンが！

R loves pink!

8) 春または初夏？の覚園寺
    Kakuonji-temple in Spring or Early Summer?

10) 都会人に鳶は珍しい？

      The kite is a novelty for city dwellers, isn't it?

       

AちゃんとTちゃんは今までに3回、我が家を訪ねてくれました。

けれども、いつも私達は家で飲んで食べてばかりでした。笑

それはそれでとても楽しいひととき。

今回初めて近所 (二階堂) を一緒に楽しく散歩することができました。

また来てね！

A and T visited our house three times so far, although we just had meal and drink in the house. Laugh

That was quite good and enjoyable.

This was the first time we had enjoyed tourist walking with them around Nikaido.
