鎌倉とニースが姉妹都市であるのは、なんとなくわかる気がします。
ニースの街には鎌倉に相模湾があるように、湾があり、天使の湾と呼ばれているそうです。

Kyoto is a sister city Paris, so somehow I understand indeed Kamakura and Niece are sister cites.
The bay of Nice is similar to the Sagami Bay of Kamakura and the bay is called Angel's Bay in Nice.
I do not feel that Sagami Bay has an image of the angel. (Laugh)

私が2007年に東京で開いた個展に私の友人のHさんと
一緒にYさんがいらしてくださいました。
Yさんは、イタリア留学後、フランスにも留学しました。
彼女はフランスの方と結婚されて、今、彼らはニースに住んでいます。

When I had my exhibition in Tokyo 2007, one of my friends, H came with his friend Y.
After Y studied in Italy, she studied in France, too.
She married a Frenchman and now they live in Nice.

Y さんがフランス留学をする人に勧めているのが

(1998 / Hankyu communications) です。

私はフランス留学するわけではありませんが、この本を楽しく読みました。
自分の英国人体験と比べたり、本や映画などで表現されるフランス人が何故そのように解説されるのか、例えば傲慢だとか、とっつきにくいとか、などがより理解できたり。

本の表紙が英語版と違うのもおもしろいですね。

お店の名前
レ•ザンジュ/ LESANGES
は、ニースの "天使の湾" (Le Baie des Anges) を
イメージして名付けたと、お店のHPに説明されています。
レ•ザンジュ HP:
本店にはカフェの場所もありますが、ケーキやチョコレート売り場がメインですね。
ここを訪ねる前に、ご近所のYご夫妻からここのビスケットの詰め合わせをいただいていました。
それがとても美味しかったです。

Kamkura LESANGES
Their website explains that their shop's name " LESANGES" came from the image of Le Baie des Anges in Nice.
They have a cafe, although there are mainly for selling of cakes, chocolates and other sweets.
Before visiting here, one of our neighbours, Y couple gave us a set of biscuits from LESANGES.
The biscuits were very good.
They know good food and sweets and we often receive favours from them.
