Mio&Yusuke, 報国寺 / Mio&Yusuke, Houkuji - Temple

報国寺: 竹寺
何回訪ねたか憶えていないほど、私はこのお寺に来ています。

何度来ても季節や天気が違うせいか、違う景色に出会えます。

I do not remember how many times I have visited this temple. 

Even though I come here many times, I can see different views, because it might be different seasons or weathers.

Yusukeは、新橋のドライドッグで店長をしています。

ドライドッグはビールがとても美味しく飲めるお店です。

Yusukeは日帰りで来てくれました。

彼は我が家を訪ねるのは二度目ですが、一緒に鎌倉観光をしたのは初めてでした。

Yusuke 

Yusuke is the manager of 'Dry Dock', a pub in Shinbashi in central Tokyo, you can have delicious beer or ale.

This was his second visit to our house twice, but this was the first time we have visited a tourist spot together. 

He just came for part of the day.

    Cheeky squirrel is here too.

4) 観光地のお寺という感じ
    I feel the temple is a sightseeing temple.

いつ来ても、よく手入れされています。
It is always well cared for.

6) 受付、支払いをすませて

今日は人が少ないので、荷物を受付に預けることができました。

身軽になって、さあ、竹庭へ！

The reception could accept their bags, because there were not many tourist.

7) 竹庭
    Bamboo Garden

別世界へ入ってゆく気分です。

I feel I am going to enter a different world.

竹の皮

竹にまだ皮がついています。

竹の子が成長した姿ですね。

Bamboo Skin

Some bamboo still have their skins.
They grow up more than bamboo shorts.

        

成長の違いがわかります

     You can see their different stages.

金属の竹のように見えますね。 
They look like metal bamboo.

 天に届きそう

      As if bamboo reaches the sky

別世界にいるよう
I feel I am in a different world.

抹茶庵

受付で入場券と抹茶のセットのチケットを買い、
ここで抹茶をたてていただけます。

今日は時間制限があるので、見ただけでした。

You buy set ticket of entering and 
a cup of powdered green tea at the reception.

Today, we did not have enough time for tea, just looking.

8) やぐら / Yagura

鎌倉にはいろいろな所に、大小さまざまな'やぐら'があります。

     Japanese Garden integrates with nature

      Tree has hydrangea - like blossom

11) 雨の中の緑 / Green in Rain

雨の報国寺は思った以上に素敵でした。

もしかしたら一番美しく感じたかもしれません。

MioもYusukeもとても興奮していたようにみえました。

雨でしたが、ここに来て本当に良かった。

Green in Rain

Houkokuji-Temple was superb in the rain. 

Maybe at its most beautiful of my visits.

Mio & Yousuke looked excited.

Although it was raining, 
it was very good that we came here.
