御成通りの"うつわ祥見" で、"花とうつわ展" を見た後に、"招山ギャラリー・由比ヶ浜" で開催されていた蓮周 (レンシュウ) 展へ行きました。
After a table-ware shop, "UTSUWA SOUKEN" on Onari street, I visited the 'Exhibition Renshu' in Shouzan Gallery, Yuigahama.

| DM : 5.7.5. DMが届いた時からおもしろいな〜と思いましたし、怖さまたは不気味さも感じ、 それがどんな風に展開してるのという好奇心もあり、伺いたいと思いました。 '5.7.5.' は蓮周 (1947 - )さんの好きな俳句に由来しています。 Straightaway I felt the DM was interesting, and I felt a little weirdness but I was curious how the Exhibition would develop, so I would like to visit the Exhibition. Moreover, '5.7.5.' came from Haiku which Renshu (1947 - ) San loves. Traditional haiku consists of 17 'on' (also known as 'morae' though often loosely translated as "syllables"), in three phrases of 5, 7, and 5 'on', respectively. |

| 蓮周展告示板 2017年5月26(金) 〜 6月4日(日) 『書』の展覧会です。 The Sign of the "Exhibition Renshu" (Fri) 26th of May ~ (Sun) 4th of June This was a Japanese Brushing or calligraphy exhibition. |
この日は(中島)蓮周さんは在廊の予定ではなかったのですが、突然現れて、びっくりしました。
実はこの日は、ギャラリーオーナーのWさんに4月の私の個展の報告と記録のアップルブックを見てもらう約束をしていました。
作家の邪魔をしたくなかったので、作家がいない日をあえて選んでいたのでした。
蓮周さんがアップルブックを面白そうにご覧になり、気に入っていただけたようなので、ほっとしました。
彼の感想も聞くことができ、嬉しく思いました。
また、彼の経験談や、作品の話を聞くことができ、とても面白い時間を過ごしました。
ギャラリーをあとにする彼がとても幸せそうに見えたので、お互いに良い時間をすごせたのだなと思いました。
Wさんは、アップルブックを見て、リングの作品を気に入ってくださったので、英国へ発つ前に焼成してお渡しする約束をしました。

On the day, in their plan Renshu San did not stay in the gallery, in fact, he suddenly appeared and I was surprised.
Actually I had an appointment with the gallery owner, W San that I would report about my Exhibition in April, 2017 and would show my apple book record for my Exhibition.
I deliberately chose a day when Renshu San would not be there, because I would not bother him.
He watched my book and looked interested and liked it, so I was relieved.
I could hear his comments about my Exhibition or my works, so I was pleased.
And also I heard about his experiences and his works, it was a very interesting time.
When he left there, he looked happy, so I think we had a good time with each other.
After W San looked at my book, she told me her favourite is my ring work, so I promised I would have a firing for unglazed rings and hand to her before I would go to Britain.
He watched my book and looked interested and liked it, so I was relieved.

| 蓮周さんは写真撮影をことのほか、嫌っているので、 室内の写真はとりませんでした。 この写真は彼から了承を得た唯一のものです。 Renshu San hates photographs of his works, I did not take any photographs there. Only this one has his permission. |
I guess that he would be confined to Mount Kōya : ★ (or Kongōbu-ji ) as a hermit and make his works at this time: July , 2017.
