鎌倉画廊
随分前から、鎌倉山に鎌倉画廊があるのは知っていました。
Rは招山ギャラリーのWさんから紹介され、私より先に訪れていました。

Kamakura Garou : Kamakura Gallery
I knew of Kamakura Garou : Kamakura Gallery 
which is in Kamakurayama, a long time ago.
R was introduced to the Gallery by W San, the owner Shouzan Gallery,
so he had visited here earlier than me.

Rの名前で届いたDMが素敵でした。

残念ながら彼は英国なので、行けません。

私はぜひ、行きたいと思いました。

The DM arrived with R's name, this is lovely.

Unfortunately, R is in Britain, so he could not go.

I will go!

前庭の作品
もの派の作品中心にコレクションしていると聞いています。
もの派といえば、私にとっては
李 禹煥 (リ・ウーファン / Lee U-Fan / 1936 - / ★ : 英語) 先生で、
私が多摩美の学生のときの現代美術の先生で、大好きな先生でした。
李先生も鎌倉にお住まいです。
この石も、もしかしたら先生の作品でしょうか？
確か、美術史は、峯村俊明 (ミネムラ トシアキ/ 1936 -) 先生で、
この先生も、もの派でした。

世の中的には「多摩美といえばもの派」なのかもしれませんが、

実際に意識したこと、肌で感じたことはありません。

「綺麗なもの好き！」というのが先行する私にとって、

もの派の理論とは距離があるのかもしれません。

あっ、でも、もの派の作品は綺麗であるという印象があります。

Work in Front Garden
I heard this gallery has collected works of 'Mono-ha'.
Speaking of 'Mono-ha', I think of Lee U-Fan (1936 - / ★  in English) Sensei as an artist.

Lee Sensei was my professor for Contemporary Art and I liked him very much

when I was a student in Tama Art University in Japan. 

Lee Sensei lives in Kamakura, too.

These stones might be Lee Sensei's work?

Probably my Art History's professor,  Toshiaki Minemura (1936 -) Sensei,

was 'Mono-ha', too.

Normally people might think "Speaking of Tama Art (University), Ah!  'Mono-ha'",

although I haven't recognized it in actuality and I haven't felt it directly.

"I like beautiful things" is my main criterion,

 the theory of 'Mono-ha' might have distance from me.
Oh! Yes! However, my impression is that Mono-ha's work is beautiful.

館内での撮影は、許可を得ています。

撮影禁止の場所もありますので、そこではしていません。

My photographs were allowed in most of the gallery.

お祝いのお花がとても素敵だったので、
撮影しました。
送り手の配慮がいろいろ伝わってきます。

The celebration flowers are marvellous,
so I photographed.
The sender's huge consideration is conveyed to me.

白い壁に直接、作家名、テーマ 、会期が描かれている所に

このギャラリーの姿勢または目指すものが感じられます。

ここは、画廊というよりも美術館という印象でした。

(英語での画廊: ギャラリー: Gallery は日本語と違う印象なので、

これは英訳が難しい...。なので英訳しません...トホホ)

2階の常設展 (ここが撮影禁止) の作品群も充実しています。

Monday, Tuesday and National Holiday are closed

I feel the gallery's preferences or aim  from the writing of

 artist's name, the dates and the theme directly on the white wall.

Works from their Permanent collection in first floor are good quality, too.

小枝氏は、現在、京都精華大学の非常勤講師をしているようです。
Nowadays Mr. Koeda is a part - time lecturer of Kyoto Seika University.

1階
入り口から入ってすぐがここです。

Ground Floor
Straight in from the entrance.

２階と3階へはこの螺旋階段を使用します。
We use this spiral staircase for first and second floor.

螺旋階段は美しくもあり、展示スペースも多くとれる有益な
アイディアだと思います。

後になって気がついたのですが、各階が独立していつつもこの階段によって連携もされ、開放感も加えられて、居心地の良さも作り出していのだと思いました。

I think the spiral staircase is a good idea 
because it is beautiful and it is useful in that 

it makes the display space wider. 

Later I realized that every floor is independent as well as linked by the staircase 

and it also adds to the sense of space which makes us more comfortable.

3階
油絵のように見えますが、プリント作品です。初めて見る手法: ラムダプリントで、初めて聞く名前です。
デジタルプリントのひとつで、Dursut 社のLambda機によって印刷されたものです(→★ 英語) 。
おもしろいな〜と思います。つぎの展覧会も見に行きたいです。

Second Floor
They look like oil paintings although they are prints. It was the first time I saw the technique : 
Lambda Digital Print using Durst’s Lambda machine.→★, and heard the name, too. 
I feel interesting. I would go to his next exhibition, too.

DMに使用されていた作品はこれです。
これが一番好きです。

The DM uses this.
I  like this one most of all.

3階 / Second Floor

2階 
3階は主に植物、2階は生き物が描かれています。彫像も同じ。
2階の絵は、キャンパスにアクリル絵の具、岩絵の具、蜜蝋による

混合技法 : ミクストメディア（mixed-media）です。

 First Floor

Mainly paintings of plants are on the second floor 
with fish and animal paintings on the first floor, sculptures on both floors.
The pictures on the first floor were by mixed-media which is on canvases with acrylic, natural mineral pigments and beeswax.

開催されているものによって、空気は変わるのでしょうけれど、いつもアートを静かに、楽しめる場所であると思いました。

ここに来た効果はヨガをした後とよく似た心持ちになるように思います。

この日、鎌倉画廊に来て、本当に良かったです。

ありがとうございました。

The air might be changed by what they exhibit, though I think always we enjoy art quiet calmly here.

I feel the effect of the gallery is similar to my or our feelings after Yoga.

I was really pleased I came Kamakura Garo that day.
