友人、堀内君は6年ぶりに個展をしました。
'Fuji Gallery Shinjuku' でのこけら落としが彼の個展でした。
彼はアートディレクターとして仕事をしつつ、書家の田村空谷 (タムラ クウコク)氏について書を学び、独自の書体と世界を作りました。
My friend, Horiuchi Kun hadn't held his solo Exhibition for 6 years.
The opening of the 'Fuji Gallery Shinjyuku' was his Exhibition.
彼はアートディレクターとして仕事をしつつ、書家の田村空谷 (タムラ クウコク)氏について書を学び、独自の書体と世界を作りました。
「彼の書」の展覧会や個展を今まで見逃してきてしまったので、今回はぜひ行きたいと思い、12日のオープニング・パーティにRと一緒に参加しました。
そこでは、日頃、合うことができない友人達にも会え、それも嬉しかったです。
My friend, Horiuchi Kun hadn't held his solo Exhibition for 6 years.
The opening of the 'Fuji Gallery Shinjyuku' was his Exhibition.
He has worked as an art director and he has Kukoku Tamura : ★ as his teacher for Japanese Brush (Japanese calligraphy) and he has created his own calligraphic style and his world.
I have missed『Exhibitions of 'His Calligraphic Style'』, so I really would like to visit his Exhibition this time and I and R went to the opening party on 12th.
I could see friends there who I hadn't seen for a long time, so I was pleased about this, too.

オープニング・パーティでは多くの人が来場し、彼とはゆっくり話ができませんでした。
けれでも、6月に入って、彼の事務所でゆっくりと話ができました。
私の個展の記録のアップルブックを見せつつ、自分の個展の報告もしました。
彼は、必ず、どの個展にも足を運んでくれ、感想を聞かせてくれましたが、2017年の個展は、家族に不幸があり、初めて
"欠席"
でした。
後になって、電話をかけてきてくれて来廊できなかった理由を知らせてくれたうえに、謝ってくれもするのです。
なんという、気配りのきく人なのでしょう！
これも、彼の人脈の広さと仕事の成功の一つの理由であると思います。
また、彼が
「en.」にこだわっていることへの実践でもあるかと思います。
彼の事務所では、彼の書へのこだわりや、田村空谷氏との関係や尊敬の念などを聞くことができました。
また、田村空谷氏の直筆作品や、彼のアートディレクターとしての作品を見せてもらうこともでき、話も聞くことができました。
その日は、とても良い刺激を受け、自分の魂が喜んでいるのを感じました。
あっ、そうそう、彼の事務所は中目黒にあり、東京の景色が見える、素晴らしいロケーションで、東京観光のようでもありました。

In the party, there were many people, so I could not talk with him enough.
However,
in June, when I visited his office, we talked for a long time.
While
I showed him my apple book about my Exhibition and I reported on my
Exhibition, 2017.
He
had visited all my Exhibitions and talked to me about his thoughts,
although he could not make my Exhibition, 2017, because there was a bereavement in his
family.
Later
he phoned me that he explained the reason as well as he apologized...
What careful consideration!
I
think this is one of the reasons that he could make and keep many connections and his
work be successful.
And
also, I thought he sticks to「en.」and lives up to his 「en.」 principles.
In his office, I heard his enthusiasm for works, he and his master's relationship, and how much he respects his master.

also he showed me Kukoku
Ramura's real work, his graphic works as art director and I heard
his thoughts about them.
Last year, he designed a set of two books :
“ Kami-no-miya : Ise-jingu and Izumo-taisha”

and I think the work gives him his confidence and his pride.

I
had very good stimulation and I felt my soul was pleased on the day.
Oh! Yes! His office is in Nakameguro, Tokyo, its location is wonderful with good views to Tokyo, so the visiting was like sightseeing in Tokyo.

| この作品を海外へ(英国へだったかな？）持って行くべきではないかと 提言してくださった方がいたそうです。 西洋人が好みそうな気がします。 I heard that a person suggested to him that he should take this work abroad (Britain?). I feel Westerners might well like it. |

| 会場全体を撮影したいと思い、 遅くまで残りました。 こんなに広い会場なのですが、人がたくさんいて、 この空間も作品を見るために、この日は生かされませんでした。 でもオープニングパーティですからね、それも堀内君の、 仕方ありません....。 そうそう、ワインが美味しくて、数杯飲んでしまいました！ カナッペもとてもおしゃれで美味しかったです。 ごちそうさまでした。 I would like to photograph the whole gallery, so I stayed later. Even in a wide space like this, because so many people were here, we could not have enough space for looking at the works. The space did not work for looking on the day. However, it was their opening party and also Horiuchi Kuns' opening, so they can not help it... Oh! Yes! Their wine was good, so I had a couple of glasses. Their canapés were stylish and delicious. Thank you. |
