神戸時代からの友人、Izumiちゃんが、初めて鎌倉山の家に来てくれました。
Izumiちゃんは、ネットショップ :"シトロンブックス：citronbooks"を営んでいます。
"シトロンブックス" は、絵本を中心に、かわいい雑貨を販売しています。
ときおり、ギャラリーを会場にして、
"リアル・シトロン・ショップ"
を開催し、実際にそこで販売します。
リアルショップについては下記。
今日は、彼女と一緒にランチをとりながら、彼女の仕事、私生活、
音楽などのいろいろな話を聞き、それらの話は私にはとても新鮮でした。
彼女は、絵本紹介の講座：『シトロン読書室＆小さな古本屋さん』
を定期的に開催しています。
彼女が絵本に興味をもったのは、神戸で私と会った時に、私から絵本の話をきいたことがきっかけだったと聞きました。
驚きました。
私は、絵本作家になりたくて、美大に入り、その後ずっとアートの世界またはアートの周囲の世界を生きてきました。
英国留学では、陶芸やドローイングを学びました。
が、彼女と話して、最初の目標をはっきりと思い出しました。
生きている間に自分の絵本出版を実現しよう！と自分に言い聞かせました。
必然なのか、偶然なのか、彼女のお土産の1つは、英語の絵本 (下) :

でした。
彼女に背中を後押しされているように感じました。

| 彼女からのプレゼントされた、 彼女の好きな絵本作家 : 銅版画家： アーサー・ガイサートの絵本です。 彼女のサイトで、アーサー・ガイサート : Arthur Geisert について説明されています→★。 このお話は、"三匹の子豚"の現代風アレンジ版です。 私はとても面白く読みました。 気がつきましたか？ この本は、表紙に題名がありません。 Picture Book in English This is a picture book by Arthur Geisert (1941 ~ / ★). He is her favourite children's book author, an etcher. This story is a modern twist on "The Three Little Pigs". I read it with great interest. Did you notice? This book has no title on the front cover.  昔話のアレンジの仕方に新鮮な驚きを感じました。 絵柄も内容も日本では出版できない絵本だと思います。 ですが、この絵本には、日本の絵本界にはない 新しさが潜んでいます。 I felt a fresh surprise in how to arrange old tales. In my view, this book can't be published in Japan, both in design and content. However, this picture book has a newness that is not found in the Japanese picture book world. |
Picture Book
Izumi Chan, a friend from my Kobe days, came to my house in Kamakurayama for the first time.
The last time she visited me was when I was living in Nikaidō, Kamakura 10 years ago, below.
Izumi Chan runs an online shop : citronbooks".
"citronbooks" sells lovely miscellaneous goods, mainly picture books.
Occasionally, she use a gallery as a venue to hold a "Real Citron Shop" and actually sells there.

Today, while having lunch with her, I listened to her work, personal life, music, and many other things, and those stories were very fresh to me.
She regularly holds a picture book introduction course : "Citron Reading Room & Small Secondhand Bookshop".
She said her interest in picture books began when she met me in Kobe and heard from me about picture books.
I was surprised!
I wanted to be a picture book author, so I entered an art university, and since then I have been living in the world of art or the world around it.
While studying abroad in Britain, I studied ceramics and drawing.
I tell myself,
"Publish my own picture book while I am still alive!"
Inevitably or by chance, one of her souvenirs was an English picture book,

2) TE HANDEL
Izumiちゃんからのもう1つのお土産は、おしゃれな紅茶、
TE HANDELの紅茶でした。
以前も、彼女から、TE HANDELの紅茶をいただいたことがありました。
そのときも、そのおしゃれさに嬉しい驚きを感じました。
今回は、その紅茶により興味を持ち、TE HANDELのサイト : ★を
見ました。
サイトもおしゃれで、見ているだけでも、心が透き通ってゆくように感じます。
'TE HANDEL'はスエーデン語、一般的には、'お茶の貿易'と訳すようですが、このお店では、'茶舗' (チャホ : 茶を製造・販売する店)と表記されています。

TE HANDEL
Another gift from Izumi Chan was stylish tea from TE HANDEL.
I have been given TE HANDEL tea by her before, too.
At that time too, I was pleasantly surprised by how stylish it was.
This time, I was more interested in the tea, so I looked at
TE HANDEL's website: ★ only in Japanese.
The site is also stylish, and just looking at it makes me feel like my mind is clear.
'TE HANDEL' is a Swedish word, and it seems that it is generally translated as 'tea trade', but in this shop, it is written as 'Chaho' (chaho: a shop that manufactures and sells tea).
The owner (Sayaka Kase) has a wonderful concept for the shop, which is based on her experiences when she was studying in Sweden→★ only in Japanese.
