丸亀市猪熊弦一郎現代美術館 1991年開館 私のブログ内のMIMOCAについてのセクションは複数あります。 前回の 'B. 建物 / Building' では、主に屋外を、 今回のセクションでは、屋内を扱っています。 ですが、これらは密接に関わっているので、重複しています。 Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art Opened in 1991 Its official name is and its nickname is MIMOCA (HP: ★). There are a few sections about MIMOCA in my blog. The previous section, 'B. 建物 / Building', mainly covered outdoor areas, while this section focuses on inside areas. However, since these sections are closely related, there is some overlap.  |

| MIMOCA 1991年竣工 設計 : 谷口吉生 (タニグチヨシオ/ 1937 - 2024) 谷口氏は、MIMOCAの建築が認められ、結果的にニューヨーク近代美術館 : MoMA の 新館の建築を任されました。 私は、MoMAの新館を実際に見てはいませんがネット上の画像 から、MoMA新館は、MIMOCAの雰囲気を纏っているように 感じられます。 MIMOCA Completed in 1991 Design : Yoshio Taniguchi (1937 - 2024) Taniguchi's work on MIMOCA was well-received, and he was eventually commissioned to design the new MoMA building. I haven't actually seen the new MoMA : ★ building, although from the images I've seen on the internet, it seems to have the same atmosphere as MIMOCA. |

| 2階廊下 自然光が美しく入ってきます。 日本の伝統の格子窓 (木虫籠 / キムズコ) を思わせます。 現代的であり、革新的な建物に日本の伝統美が 組み込まれていることが素敵です。 First Floor Hallway The natural light comes in beautifully. It is reminiscent of traditional Japanese lattice windows (Kimuzuko). It's wonderful how traditional Japanese beauty is incorporated into a modern and innovative building. |

Space Filled With Natural Light
A. エントランスホール / Entrance Hall
エントランスホールは、リヴィングルームのような雰囲気です。
猪熊氏は、「美術館は心の病院」と言っていたそうです。
この美術館には、いたるところにベンチや椅子があります。
ひ弱な私は、いくつかの展覧会や美術館では、座る場所を求めて、
ベンチや椅子を探します。
ですが、ここでは、それらを探す必要がありません。
下記、美術館のサイトより引用、
"美術館に入ることによって精神的なストレスをいくつか取り除き、大勢の人々の心をいやす場となることが必要、という猪熊の願いを実現するために、美しい空間には自然光が降り注ぎ、館内には誰もが気軽に座れる椅子が設置されています。"
なるほど〜〜。

Entrance Hall
The entrance hall has the atmosphere of a living room.
Inokuma is said to have said, "An art museum is a hospital for the soul".
There are benches or chairs everywhere in this museum.
I'm a weakling, so at some exhibitions and museums I have to search for a bench or chair to sit down.
But here, there's no need to search for one.
"To realize Inokuma’s vision of a museum to relieve stress and soothe the souls of many, this attractive space is suffused with natural light and equipped with comfortable seats available to all. "

| ホールに設置されているオブジェ 近づいてよく見ると、半透明の黄色い '下駄' が円柱内に見えます。 Objects Installed in the Hall If you look closely, you can see translucent yellow 'Geta' inside the cylinder.  According to Wiki about Gata, "Geta (下駄) (pl. geta) are traditional Japanese footwear resembling flip-flops. A kind of sandal, geta have a flat wooden base held on the foot with a fabric thong, and are elevated with up to three (though commonly two) 'teeth', which keeps the foot raised above the ground."  半透明の黄色い下駄 猪熊の子供時代の思い出のオブジェは、 丸亀市のこの美術館にふさわしいオブジェだと思います。 Translucent Yellow Geta Sandal I think that the object that represents Inokuma's childhood memories is a fitting object for this museum in Marugame City.  下駄が溺れているように見えます。 子供の猪熊が溺れている様子を投影しているのでしょうか？ The geta looks like it is drowning. Is this a reflection of the young Inokuma drowning? |
B. 窓 / Windows
天井と壁の間の窓から差し込む光に感動して、何枚も写真撮影をしてしまいました。
光によって、空間がとてもいかされているように思いました。
I was so impressed by the light streaming in through the window between the ceiling and walls that I ended up taking many photographs.
I felt that the light really enhanced the space.
