リトグラフ工房 / Lithograph Studio

異なった紙を用いて同じ版、同じ色で刷りました。
丸と四角の色は似ていますが違います。
もちろん版も違います。

I printed using the same plates and the same colours
on different papers.
The colours of the circles and squares are similar but different.
Of course, the plates are also different.

カラーインクを使用したドローイングの上にも
刷っています。

Two are printed on colour ink drawings.

Finished Biscuit Firing

The biscuit firing started on 26th of October is finished.

(28th of October)

次の素焼開始
今回は3種類の新しい磁器土を用意しています。
香田陶土(有)さんから購入しました。
1つ目の磁器土 (特上陶土) は色も手の感触も、
私が使用していた英国の磁器土に近く感じます。
日本で使用した磁器土では一番好きです。
この素焼では、2つ目の磁器土 (選中陶土) の
テストピースが含まれています。
2つ目の磁器土は九谷の磁器土に近いように感じます。
3つ目 (SK20) はまだ使用していません。
温度の面から言うと'SK20'はこの窯に適しているように思います。

Start Next Biscuit Firing

This time, I have selected three new types of porcelain clay.

I bought them from Koda Todo Co., Ltd.

The colour and touch of the first one I used,

 porcelain clay (special clay) is similar to the British porcelain I used.

Of the porcelains I have used in Japan, 

I like this the most.

This biscuit firing contains test pieces of 

the second new porcelain clay (middle clay).

I feel the second porcelain is close to Kutani porcelain.

I haven't used the third one (SK20) yet.

In terms of temperature, I think the 'SK20' might be

 suitable for this kiln.

自分としては、いくつか新しい試みをしていますが、見る方は (一般の方は)、その試みはわからないでしょう。

それでも、何か、新しい発見があればいいな〜と思います。

For me, I have made some new trials, but many of those who see them (the general public) may not know they are trials.

I would be glad if I discover something new.

2) 哨戒ヘリコプター / Patrolling Helicopters

哨戒ヘリコプター SH-60K
海上自衛隊の哨戒ヘリコプター、SH-60Kです。
(SH-60Jかも？)
SH-60K ・Jともにシーホーク(SH-60)の仲間です。
この日はいつもよりもヘリコプターの行き来が多く、
何かあったのかと思いました。
米機(ヘリコプター)も飛んでいましたし...。

Patrolling Helicopter, SH-60K

It is a patrol helicopter of the Maritime Self-Defense Force, 

Mitsubishi H-60 (SH-60K).

(Maybe SH-60J?)

Both SH-60K and J are Sea Hawk group.

There were more helicopters coming and going on this day 

than usual, and I wondered if something had happened.

The US aircraft (helicopter) in the photograph was also flying ...

肉眼で見るとこの程度しか見えません。

米機・MH-60R 
MH-60Rは、
第51ヘリコプター海洋打撃飛行隊（HSM-51)の

哨戒ヘリコプターです。

HSM-51は、
アメリカ海軍太平洋艦隊のヘリコプター部隊です。
愛称はウォーローズ。
お疲れ様です。

The MH-60R is a patrol helicopter of
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron Five One (HSM-51).
The HSM-51 is United States Navy helicopter squadron.
Nickname is "WARLORDS".

以前もりも、ずっと感じられます。

ヘリコプターや飛行機はこんなに低い場所を飛ぶのだな〜と実感します。

Recently, I've been working in the studio on the first floor with the windows open, so I can feel the sky more than before.

I realize that helicopters and airplanes fly at such low levels.

ヨーグルト・ポムポム
紅玉を使用して作りました。
元のレシピはフランスのものなので、'りんご' を意味する
ポム：Pommeがタイトルに含まれています。
夫Rの希望で大きなサイズ(元のレシピの倍の量)の器を
使いました。

Yogurt Pompom

I made it using Jonathan apples.

The original recipe is from France, 

so the title includes Pomme, which means 'apple'.

I used a large size dish (double the amount of the original recipe) 

at the request of my husband R.

Rがセッティングしてくれました。

2) 月 / Moon

明るい！
一週間前が満月でした。
現在は欠けてゆく時期です。
それでも、とても明るい月！

Bright!

The full moon was a week ago.

Now it is waning.

Still, a very bright moon!

Preparation for My Exhibition - Firing

本焼
今回の個展準備で、初めての本焼を開始しました。
透明釉のみ使用しています。
窯に設定されている、'A-8'  : 1260度、ねらし20分を
用いました。

Glaze Firing 

In preparation for this exhibition, I have started the first glaze firing.

Only transparent glaze is used.

The 'A-8' setting of the kiln :

 1260 degrees, soak 20 minutes was used.

窯がまだ元気なので予定の時間に終了しました。
今の窯は3代目になります。

The kiln is still fine, so it ended at the scheduled time.
The current kiln is the third.

鎌倉在住の版画家、よしざわ ようこさんの版画展を見に、私と夫Rは東京へ出かけました。

展覧会のために東京へ出かけるのは、2年ぶり？

この版画展は恵比寿で開催されていました。

この版画展のあと、新宿伊勢丹で開催されていた坪内 好子 (ツボウチ ヨシコ ) さんの個展も行く予定でした。

ですが急な用事があり、それを含めた時間と私たちの体力のなさとで、行くことができませんでした。

I and my husband R went to Tokyo to see a print exhibition by Yoko Yoshizawa who is a printmaker living in Kamakura.

Is it the first time in two years to go to Tokyo for an exhibition?

Her print exhibition was held in Ebisu, Tokyo.

After this print exhibition, I was planning to go to a solo exhibition by Yoshiko Tsubouchi, which was held in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

However, there was a sudden errand, and I couldn't go because of the time including it and our lack of physical strength.

入り口近くに展示してありました。
私はこの作品が一番好きでした。
これを買いたかったのですがRの気持ちが購入までには至らず...

This was exhibited near the entrance.
I liked this work the most.
I wanted to buy this, but R's feelings did not reach the purchase ...

よしざわさんは、ギャラリーまぁる：Galerie Malle と
17年に渡りお付き合いがあります。
ギャラリーのオーナーは、Kさんです。
よしざわさんは、
「Kさんに作家として育てていただきました」
とおっしゃっていました。

Yoshizawa has connected with Galerie Malle for 17 years.

The owner of the gallery is S・K San.

Yoshizawa said 

 "I have been raised by K San as an artist."

会場に合わせた作品選択がとても上手にされているように

思います。

I think that the selection of works matching the venue is very good.

立体のコーナー
彼女はたくさんの新しいことに挑戦していて素晴らしいです。

Three-dimensional Corner
She is great at trying a lot of new things.

Rは、単独のカバの作品 (右から2つめ) が好きだと
言っていました。

R said he liked the work of a single hippopotamus
 (second from the right).

'野生の哲学者'

彼女の描く生き物たちの多くは、瞑想しているような
静かな趣があります。
'野生の哲学者'のようです。

'Wild Philosopher'

Many of the creatures she depicts have a quiet meditative feel.

They are like 'Wild Philosophers'.

ちょっと物悲しい表情が哲学者を思わせます。

A slightly sad expression reminds me of a philosopher.

夜の場面が多いと感じました。
そういえば、個展のサブタイトルが
'The Stars Are Watching Over You'
であったと思い出しました。
なるほど....
哲学者は夜に瞑想するのかな？

I felt that there were many night scenes.

Come to think of it, the subtitle of the exhibition was

'The Stars Are Watching Over You'.

Indeed....

Do philosophers meditate at night?

'よしざわようこ'テーストがぎっしり詰まった会場でした。

よしざわさんの頭の中を小舟に揺られて旅をしているような感覚を持ちました。

素敵な作品群でした。

ありがとうございました。

The venue was packed with the taste of "Yoko Yoshizawa".

I felt as if I was traveling in a small boat in Yoshizawa's head.

It was a wonderful group of works.

切り株の上で
先日切った柿の木の切り株の上で、リスが栗を食べていました。
切り株の上に置いていたお供え用の栗なのか、
リスが持って来た栗なのかはわかりません。
リスにしてはかなり長い間止まって食べていたので、
食べ応えはあったのでしょう。

On the Stump

A squirrel was eating a sweet chestnut on the stump of 

the persimmon tree that was cut the other day.

I don't know if it's an offering chestnut on the stump 

or the chestnut was brought by the squirrel.

The squirrel stopped and, for a squirrel, ate for quite a long time, 

so I think it was quite filling.

I spotted the squirrel from my studio on the first floor.

１階へ降りてきて撮影。
いずれの写真も窓越しで撮影しました。

I went down to the ground floor and photographed.
All the pictures were taken through the window.

I thought that this printing ink was like a 'Lunar Crater'',
so I photographede it.

満月 : ハンターズムーン
この晩の月が満月：ハンターズムーン (狩猟月) と
知っていたわけではありませんでした。
屋外がとても明るいので、窓から空を見上げると
月の光がとても強く光っていました。
「あっ！今日が満月かも！」
と思い当たり撮影しました。

Full Moon : Hunter's Moon

I didn't know that this evening's moon was 

the full moon : Hunter's Moon.

 Outdoors was so bright, so I looked up at the sky

 from the window, and the moonlight was very strong.

月の色は魅惑的なオレンジ色に傾きます。

The colour of the moon tilts to a fascinating orange.

ハンターズムーンは、比較的新しい満月の名前です。

その名前はアメリカの民間伝承で伝統となり、今では、ネイティブアメリカンに由来すると言われています。

由来好きの私は、元の民間伝承を知りたいところですが、探し出せませんでした。

秋は狩猟、収穫の時期、そういった面からもハンターズムーンの名前は、10月の満月にふさわしい気がします。

Hunter's Moon is the name of a relatively new full moon.

The name became traditional in American folklore and is now said to be derived from Native Americans.

I like the thought of the origin, and I wanted to know the original folklore, but I couldn't find it.

Autumn is the time of hunting and harvesting, and I feel that the name of Hunter's Moon is suitable for the full moon in October.

ほぼ満月
正確には満月ではありませんが、ほぼ満月です。

Almost Full Moon
It's not exactly a full moon, but it's almost a full moon.

夜空と月と家の光
月がとても明るいことがわかります。

Night Sky, Moon and House Lights
I could see that the moon is very bright.

肉眼ではこんな感じに見えますね。
It looks like this to the naked eye, right?

一瞬の風景
月に雲がかかり、すぐに流れてゆきます。
一瞬の風景です。

Momentary Scene
Clouds hang over the moon and they will flow immediately.
It is a momentary scene.

'一瞬の風景' が好きです。
I like 'Momentary Scenes'.



月は魅惑的な衛星です。
(月は地球の唯一の衛星)

The moon is a fascinating satellite.
(The moon is the only Earth satellite.)
