2021年3月1日初めてのお花見 / First Ohanami, 1st of March 2021

3月1日、今年初めてのお花見をしました。

ソメイヨシノは、まだ咲いていませんが、庭のさくらんぼの木がひっそりと咲き始めていました。

天気予報で、今日は4月並の暖かさですが、明日から天気が崩れると言っていました。

それで、慌ててお花見の準備をし、簡単なお花見をしました。

さくらんぼの花
Flowers of Bird Cherry Tree

First Cherry Blossom Viewing Party : 'Ohanami' , 1st of March 2021.

The Yoshino cherry tree has not bloomed yet, but flowers of our bird cherry tree in the garden have begun to bloom quietly.

The weather forecast said that today would be as warm as April, but the weather would change from tomorrow.

So I hurriedly prepared for our 'Ohanami' and we had a simple Ohanami.

花より団子
食べ物ばかり撮影して、肝心のお花の撮影をし忘れました (笑)。
この写真は2月27日に撮影しました。

Hana Yori Dango
I just took photographs of food and
forgot to take photographs of the point, of the flowers (Laugh).
This photo was taken on 27th of February.

According to Wiki about Ohanami ; 花より団子, Hana Yori Dango,

"The teasing proverb dumplings rather than flowers (花より団子, hana yori dango) hints at the real priorities for most cherry blossom viewers, meaning that people are more interested in the food and drinks accompanying a hanami party than actually viewing the flowers themselves."

おにぎりが主役
不格好ですが、主役はおにぎりなのです。
副菜は、菜の花のおひたし、春雨サラダです。
(ブロッコリーも入ってます）
チェリートマトとフルーツトマトを
サラダのアクセントにしました。

Onigiri : Rice Ball is the Starring Role
It's clumsy, but the main character is Onigiri : rice ball.
The side dishes are boiled rape blossom and
gelatin noodles salad ; Harusame salad.
(Broccoli is also included)
Cherry tomatoes and fruit tomatoes are used as salad accents.
Harusame in Japanese has two meanings,
one is gelatin noodle, another one is spring rain.

桜飯
生姜風味の茶飯 (チャメシ) に焼き鮭、ごまを混ぜて作りました。
遠州地方（遠江 : トウトウミ / 遠江国 : トウトウミノクニ) では
茶飯を桜飯 (サクラメシ) と呼ぶそうな...。

Cherry Rice
Made by mixing ginger-flavored brown rice : Cha-meshi
with grilled salmon and sesame seeds.
In the Enshū region
(Tōtōmi Province / western Shizuoka Prefecture),
Chameshi is called Sakurameshi : Cherry Rice.

大きなお盆に移しました。
お酒は、結婚記念日のお祝いに母からもらった赤城山。

I moved them onto a big tray.
The sake was Akagiyama : Mt. Akagi, which was given to us
by my mother to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

桜の木の下で
私は泡の柄のグラスをRは漆器の盃 (サカズキ) を選びました。

Under the Cherry Tree
I chose a glass with a foam pattern and
R chose a lacquerware sake cup (Sakazuki).

例年、初めてのお花見は寒いのですが、今日は暖かな日でした。

短い時間で、小さな幸せを感じ、これは大きな幸運なのかもと思いました。

たくさんの事柄に、たくさんの人々に、そして、神様に、

　「ありがとうございます！」

The first Ohanami is cold every year, but today was a warm day.

In a short time, I felt a little happiness and thought that this might be a big luck.

To many things, to many people, and to God

"Thank you very much!"

外出好きな夫Rが、ステイ・ホームの日々に飽きがこない様に、私は、例年よりも多くの植物を購入しています。

I buy more plants than usual so that my husband R, who likes to go outside, will not get tired of the days of staying home.

鉢への植え替えは、全てRがしています。

ポインセチア
一昨年のクリスマスにはピンク、
昨年のクリスマスは緑、
今はこんな感じです。

Poinsettia
Pink for Christmas two years ago,
green for Christmas last year,
and now it's like this.

地道に
当初、育つのが遅く心配しました。
同じ時期に植えた他の植物は、
成長し多くの花をつけ、枯れました。
この子は地道に成長しています。
最初に花をつけてから、遅いペースながら次からへと
咲き続けています。

Steadily

At first I was worried, it was growing slowly.

Other plants planted at the same time grew,

had many flowers and died.

This plant is growing steadily.

It has been blooming one after another

at a slow pace since it first bloomed.

種から育てているコリアンダー
右のコリアンダーは、最初の種まきで成長したものです。
カルパッチョやトッピングに役立ってくれています。
これが順調に元気に育ったので、2度目の種まきをしました。
左の小さい方は、2度目のものです。

Coriander Grown from Seeds

The coriander on the right is grown from the first sowing.

It is useful for carpaccio and toppings.

This grew well, so I planted seeds for the second time.

The smaller one on the left is the second one.

種まき前に
コリアンダーの種は種まき前に、準備が必要です。
1つの種を割るか、切り口を入れます。
一晩、水につけます。
植え付けたあと、芽が出るまで紙などで
覆って太陽の光を防ぎます。
結構、面倒なんですよ。
そして多くの種を播いても成長するのは、
1つか2つで効率は悪い気がします。

Before Sowing
Coriander seeds need to be prepared before sowing.
Break each seed or make a cut.
Soak in water overnight.
After planting, cover it with paper and so on,

until it sprouts to prevent sunlight.
It's quite troublesome.

And even if I sow a lot of seeds, only one or two grow,

and I feel that it is inefficient.

オキザリス
鉢から地植えにした後に、こちらが忘れた頃に花を咲かせます。

Oxalis
After planting from the pot, it will bloom when we forget it.

午後の光
2月6日の他の写真 (上の写真) は、午前中に撮影しました。
その後、散策に出て帰ってきた際に、モミジバゼザラニウムが
午後の光を浴びてとても綺麗でした。

これは、別のクリスマスローズ。
新芽(と呼ぶのでしょうか？）を撮影するのは初めてです。

Sprout
This is another Christmas rose.
This is the first time I have taken a photograph of
a sprout (is it called?).

ベロニカ 'オックスフォードブルー'
Rが、ベロニカ 'オックスフォードブルー' を
ようやく、鉢植えから地植えにしました。
元々地植え用に購入した植物でしたが、
昨年は鉢植えにしました。
名前にあるように青い花がたくさん咲きました。
白い株も1つ、2つあったと思いますが
白い花の方が弱かった印象があります。
どちらも地植えで生き延びてくれるとことを願っています。

R has finally changed

Veronica Umbrosa ‘Oxford Blue’: Georgia Blue

from pots to ground.

Originally they were plants that I bought for ground planting,

but last year he made them potted plants.

As the name suggests, many blue flowers have bloomed.

I think there were one or two white young plants.

I have the impression that the white ones were weaker.

I hope that both will survive by planting in the ground.

美しい夜明けや夕暮れを見ては、撮影しています。

本物の美しさは、私の力量では写せないと知りつつ、トライ試続けています。

この日の夕暮れはパープルがかっていました。

Rと一緒に近所 (徒歩1分圏内) へ撮影しに行きました。

相模湾 / Sagami Bay

I am photographing while watching the beautiful dawn and dusk.

I keep trying, knowing that the real beauty cannot be captured by my ability.

The dusk of the day was purple.

I went to the neighbourhood (within a 1 minute walk) to photograph with R.

相模湾と七里ヶ浜住宅街
水平線に伊豆大島を含む、伊豆諸島の一部が見えます。

I can see parts of the Izu Islands,
including Izu Ō shima Island on the horizon.

2月11日 / 11th of February

蕾が大きくなって花も咲き始めています。
'花'と書いていますが実はガク(萼)です。

The buds are getting bigger and the flowers are starting to bloom.
Although I call them flowers, actually they are sepals.

芽が開いてきています。
The sprout is opening.

4) いたずらっ子たち / Naughty Squirrels

2月12日 / 12th of February

この日は朝から庭が騒がしかったのです。
2匹のリスが木にもデッキにも表れて物音を立てていました。

The garden was noisy from the morning on that day.

Two squirrels appeared on trees and on our deck, making noises.

仲が良いのか争っているのか、わかりませんでした。

I didn't know if they are on good terms or in conflict.

お隣の梅が花盛りです。

濃いピンク
土の成分でピンクの色が違います。
新しい土で、以前よりずっと濃いピンクの花が咲いています。

Deep Pink
The pink colour is different depending on the soil ingredients.
In new soil, this is blooming much deeper pink than before.

'ミニバラ' ?
2つ、3つが一緒に咲き、
その上花びらが幾重にも重なって豪華です。
数年前に、友人からのプレゼントされました。
枯れずに花を咲かせてくれて、一層嬉しいです。

'Mini Roses'?
Two or three bloom together,

and the petals are layered on top of each other

to make it gorgeous.

A few years ago, it was given to us by a friend.
I'm even more happy that the flowers bloom without dying.

2月17日
海が鮮やかな綺麗な青のグラデーションになっていました。
自宅の庭から、こんな色に見える日は1年のうち、
指で数えられるほどしかありません。

The sea had a vivid and beautiful blue gradations.

In a year looking from our garden,

we might count days with colours like these

on my fingers.

2月17日
船が2隻見えます。
クルーズ船なのか、タンカーなのか、
艦艇なのかわかりません。

17th of February
I can see two ships.
I don't know if they are cruise ships, tankers, or war vessels.

最近、船もヘリコプターも以前よりよく見ます。

Recently, I see ships and helicopters more than before.

8) お天気が良いので....

Because Weather is Lovely...

2月21日 / 21st of February

お天気が良いので、庭仕事をしました。
多少は運動不足解消にもあるかと思います。
殆どの庭仕事はRがしますが苗を鉢に植える時は
私も一緒にします。

The weather was lovely, so we worked in the garden.
I think it may help solve the lack of exercise to some extent.
Most of the garden work is done by R,
but when the seedlings are planted in pots, I also do it.
