1) 帰るだけ.... / We just return....

スウェーデン入りしたときは、ちょっとややこしい方法で、アーランダ空港から
オデンプランにあった私と夫Rの宿泊所：”Perfect city center location" : ★に到着しました。

その時のことは下記。

最終日は、ストックホルムオデンプラン通勤駅からアーランダ空港へローカル電車で直通で向かいました。

Rはアーランダ空港駅で特別料金を払い、その高さにご立腹！

そしてまた、電車のプラットホームからアーランダ空港へのかなり長い道のりを
スーツケースを持って移動しました。

その時にも彼はぶちぶちと不平を溢していました。

でも、トローリーに2つのスーツケースを乗せて、運ぶのは私ですけれど...。

特別料金や徒歩移動の距離が嫌だったら、初日と同じ方法を取れば良かったのですよ。

「初日はそれを回避する方法を選んだのに、今日は直通できたから、仕方ないでしょ」

と私が言うと、

「えっ？そうだった？そんな方法、知らない」

と言う返事。

驚き....

私は、バスを使用したり、乗り換えがあったりして何かあったらフライトの時間に間に合わなくなる心配をしました。

また、違う方法を試すのもいいなと思い、特別料金を払っても、直通でアーランダ空港に向かう方法で良いと思いました。

彼もそう思って直通を選んだと思っていました。

それなのに....。

もう、いいのです。

とにかく、英国へ帰るだけなのだから....。

We just return....

When I and my husband R, entered Sweden, we arrived at our stay: ”Perfect city center location" : ★ in Odenplan from Arlanda Airport in a slightly complicated way.

At that time is below.

On the last day, we went to Arlanda Airport by direct train from Stockholm Odenplan Commuter Station.

R paid a special fee at Arlanda Airport Station and got angry for the high expense!

And again, we walked a long way from the train platform to Arlanda Airport with our suitcases.

He was fluttering and complaining on our way.

But I carried two suitcases on a trolley on the way.

If he didn't like the extra charges or the distance walked, he should have taken the same approach as on the first day.

I said,

"Our way avoided these problems on the first day, but today we were able to get straight through, so we can't help it."

He replied

"Huh? Was that right? I don't know how to do that."

Surprise, surprise and surprised.

I was worried that we would miss the flight if something happened, such as by using the bus or changing trains.

Also, I thought it would be nice to try a different method, and even if we paid a special fee, it would be better to go directly to Arlanda Airport.

So, he also chose the direct line...I thought.

And yet...

It was alright already.

Anyway, we were just going back to Britain....

電車のプラットホームからアーランダ空港へは建物の中を移動します。

かなり長い道のりに感じはしますが、雨の心配をしなくても良いのは良い点です(笑)。

その移動中に、何と、ルーン石碑 : ★が展示してありました。

嬉しい驚き!

初日と違う方法で移動して良かった！！！

翌日に、シグトゥーナで、'ルーン石碑を追う旅'をしたばかりでしたので、リンクを感じて喜びも増しました。

11 Century Runestone
Transfer from the train platform to Arlanda Airport in the building.

It feels like a long way to go, but the good thing is that you don't have to worry about rain (Laugh).

During that move, a Runestone : ★ was on display.

Happy surprise!

It was nice to move in a different way from the first day! !! !!

The day before, we just had our "Follow Runestones Journey" in Sigtuna, so I felt the link and I was more happy.

11世紀のルーン石碑 / 11 Century Runestone

このルーン石碑は、1990年、アーランダ空港高速道路の建設中に発掘されました。
ルーンの碑文は下のように刻まれています。

"この石は、イングヴァルと共に東で亡くなったトールステンを記念して、

彼の兄弟であるグルナー、ビョルン、ソーグリムが作りました。
そして(この橋を)作りました。"

This Runestone was excavated in 1990
during the construction of the Arlanda Airport motorway.

The rune inscription is carved below.

"Gurnar and Björn and Thorgrim set up this stone in memory of Thorsten, their brother. He died in the east with Ingvar.

And made (this bridge?)"

B. イングヴァル遠征 / Ingvar's Expedition

'イングヴァル'とは、イングヴァル・ザホワイト /
Ingvar the Far-Travelled / Ingvar den vittfarne（1016頃 - 1041）
と思われます。

彼は、メーラレン地域のヴァイキングの長 (オサ)で、1036年から1042年にイランに対する大規模なバイキング攻撃を仕掛けました。

インヴァル / Ingvarは何十ものルーン石碑 : ★で触れられている人物で、主にメーラレン地域で見られます。

インゲヴァルの遠征はセルクランド/ Serkland (の南、または東)で、全員が亡くなります。

セルクランドは、バイキング時代の首都がバグダッドであったアバース朝カリフ（750 - 1517）の土地を意味していました。

橋の建設と道路の敷設は、スウェーデンの初期キリスト教化の際に人気がありました。

ルーンの碑文でしばしば言及される橋の建設は、死んだ親族を記念する方法であり、教会はこれらの作業を行うと、人の罪が取り除かれ、天国にいることが保証されると約束したからです。

その結果、この時代の多くのルーン石碑は、道路や橋の建設に触れています。

Ingvar's Expedition

'Ingvar' is probably Ingvar the Far-Travelled / Ingvar den vittfarne (c 1016-1041).

He was the head of the Vikings of the Mälaren region and launched a massive Viking attack on Iran from 1036 to 1042.

Ingvar is the person referred to by dozens of Runestones :★, found primarily in the Mälaren region.

Ingvar's expedition was in (south or east of ) Serkland and all die.

Serkland meant the land of the Abbasid Caliphate (750 - 1517), Baghdad was its capital in the Viking age.

Bridge construction and road laying were popular during the early Christianization of Sweden.

The construction of bridges, often referred to in the inscriptions of the Runes,
is a way to commemorate dead relatives, and the Church promised that doing these tasks would remove human sins and ensure that they were in heaven.

As a result, many Runestones in this era mention the construction of roads and bridges.

スウェーデンを発つ前に、立派なルーン石碑を見ることができてラッキーでした。

Before I left Sweden, I was lucky to see a magnificent Runestone.

3) 空から / From Sky

さよなら、アーランダ空港、さよならスウェーデン！

楽しい旅でした。

スウェーデンにまた訪れたいと思います。
I would like to visit Sweden again.

4) 英国へ / To Britain

貨物船が見えます。 / I see a freighter.

洋上風力発電
風力発電のための風車が海にたくさん見えます。

Offshore Wind Power
Many windmills for wind power generation can be seen in the sea.

これらの風車は、風力原動機または風力タービンと呼ばれます。
These windmills are called wind energy converters or wind turbines.

英国の陸地ですが、どこかはわかりません。
It's land in Britain, but I don't know where it is.

この写真の中に私達の英国の家があります。
私は見分けがつきませんが、Rはわかるそうです。

Our British house is in this photograph.
I can't tell the difference, but R understands.

トワイニング本店
子供の頃、紅茶といえば、'トワイニングのティーパック'でした。

15年間、英国と関わりながら、一度もロンドンのトワイニング本店へ

行ったことがありませんでした。

この日、初めてここを訪ねました。
周囲は高いビルですが、ここだけ谷のようになっています。

Twinings Flagship

When I was a child, speaking of English tea, meant 'Twining's teabags'.

I had never been to the Twinings flagship shop in London
in the 15 years I have spent time in Britain.

I visited here for the first time on this day.
The surrounding buildings are high, but only here is like a valley.

ストランド通り216番地

トワイニングは、トーマス・トワイニング / Thomas Twining (1675 - 1741)
によって、1706年に英国の最初のティールームを

ロンドンのストランド通り216番地にオープンしました。

店は今日でもそこで営業しています。

　開業以来、ロンドンで同じ場所の敷地を保持し、

他のどの事業者よりも長い間固定資産税を支払ってきました。

Twinings was opened by Thomas Twining (1675 - 1741) in 1706,

the first British tea room at No. 216 Strand, London

It still works today.

Since its opening, it has maintained the same site in London
and has been paying property taxes for longer than any other business.

トワイニング本店

1787年に制作されたロゴは、継続的に使用されている世界で最も古いものです。

Twinings Flagship Shop

The company's logo, created in 1787, is the oldest continuously used in the world.

現在は、アソシエイテッド・ブリティッシュ・フーズの傘下にあります。
Currently, it is under the umbrella of Associated British Foods.

2) 店内 / Inside

3) 試飲コーナー / Tasting Corner

試飲コーナーに出ている紅茶は、もちろん試飲できます。
また、他に試飲したい紅茶がある場合は、スタッフに言うと試飲できます。

Of course, you can sample the tea from the tasting section.
Also, if you see another tea you want to sample, ask the staff and you can try it.

私と夫Rは、試飲をして、いくつか購入しました。

試飲をせずに購入したものもあります。

I and my husband R tasted and bought some.

Some were purchased without tasting.

4) ミニ博物館 / Mini Museum

ロンドンの紅茶博物館 : Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum にも行きたいと思いつつ、15年間行くことができませんでした。

今回は是非とも！と思い、リサーししましたら、閉館になっていました。

残念です....

その代わりに？トワイニング本店の'ミニ博物館'を楽しみました。

'ミニ博物館'
お店の奥にトワイニングの歴史を感じさせるアイテムが展示されています。

紅茶好きの私は、とても面白く感じました。

Right at the back of the shop, there are items

that make me feel the history of Twinings.

I love tea, and I found it very interesting.

Mini Museum

I wanted to go to the Tea Museum : Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum in London but didn't go for 15 years.

By all means this time! I thought, and when I made my plan, it had been closed.

That's too bad...

Instead? I enjoyed the "Mini Museum" at Twinings 'Fladship Shop'.

紅茶快速帆船 / ティークリッパー

紅茶快速帆船・カティー・サーク / Cutty Sarkのイラストレーションです。

中国からイギリスまで、新鮮な紅茶を早く届けるために、

ティークリッパー / 紅茶快速帆船が使用されました。

その中で、カティー・サークは有名でした。

最初に届けられたその年の一番茶は高値で取引され、

船主や船長は莫大な利益と名誉を得ることができました。

カティー・サークの絵はトワイニングのシンボルマークの
ように使用されていました。

Tea Clipper

The illustration is of a Tea Clipper, Cutty Sark.

Tea clippers were used to quickly carry fresh tea from China to Britain.

Among them, Cutty Sark was famous.

The first tea delivered each year was traded at a higher price,

and the owner and captain were able to gain enormous profits and prestige.

The picture was used as the Twining emblem.

設計は、ハーキュリーズ・リントン/ Hercules Linton (1837 -1900)。

現存する唯一のティークリッパーとして、カティー・サークは、

グリニッジで保存展示されています。

私が子供の頃は、カティー・サークがエンボスで表現された缶か、

焼印のように見せた木箱に、色々な種類のティーパックが入っていました。

Cutty Sark

Launched in 1869.

The designer was Hercules Linton (1837 -1900).

Nowadays Cutty Sark is the only existing tea clipper and

is preserved and displayed in Greenwich.

When I was a child, a set of blends of tea came
either in a tin embossed with the Cutty Sark,

or in a wooden box with a Cutty Sark illustration looking like a brand.

T.I.Pとは何ですか？
これは、「素早さを保証する / to insure promptness」

という頭字語であることがわかりました。

コーヒー / ティーハウスの常連客は、手早いサービスをしてもらうために、

チップ / T.I.P 箱にペニー(硬貨)を入れました。

この頭文字は、"チップ/ Tip" (心付)という用語の起源になりました。

ちなみにこの箱は、元の(最初の)箱です。

What is T.I.P?
It turns out that this is is an acronym for 'to insure promptness'.
Patrons of coffee / tea houses would drop a penny into the box
to encourage quick service — the origin of the term 'tip'.

By the way, this box is original.

5) コーヒーも！ / Coffee, too!

トワイニングの創設者、トーマス・トワイニングが最初に手掛けた仕事はコーヒーでした。

彼は1701年に東インド会社に勤務し、1706年にロンドンのNo. 216ストランド通りにあるトムズコーヒーハウスを購入しました。

コーヒーに加えて、紅茶も販売しました。

トワイニングは、ロンドンで最高のブレンドであると言う評判を得ました。

1734年までに、トワイニングはほとんど独占的にお茶を販売し、コーヒーの販売はほとんどありませんでした。

現在も、本店では、コーヒーも販売されています。

Coffee, too!

Coffee was the first business of Twining founder Thomas Twining.

He worked for the East India Company in 1701 and purchased the Toms Coffee House on No. 216 Strand Street in London in 1706.

In addition to coffee, they also sold tea.

Twinings had earned the reputation of creating the best blends in London.

By 1734, Twinings sold tea almost exclusively, with little coffee.

Coffee is still now sold in this flagship shop.

"アリス"の"私を飲んで / Please drink me"から？
