西巻茅子展 - 鎌倉文学館 

Kayao Nishimaki Exhibition 

in Kamakura Museum of Literature 

チケットをNさんから随分前に送っていただいていたのに、
出かけた日は最終日でした。
西巻茅子(1939 - )→ ★

although I visited there on the last day.

鎌倉文学館 : ★は好きで何度も来ていますが、
パンフレットにこんな地図が載っているのを初めて知りました。
英語版はピンクの用紙。
文学館には薔薇園があるので、薔薇のイメージなのでしょうか？

I like the museum : ★, so I visit many times,
although this is the first time I found their pamphlet has a map like this.
And also the English version is on pink paper.
The colour might be roses image, 
because another of there features is a rose garden.

文学館前の看板
西巻さんといえば、この看板にもチラシにも使用されている
『わたしのワンピース』(1969, こぐま社:★) が有名です。
でも、私は『ボタンのくに』(1967, 作：なかむらしげお) も好き！
『ボタンのくに』のほうが好きかも？

The Sign in Front of the Museum
Kayako Nishimaki is well known for her childrens' book :
 "Watashi nowanpisu (My Dress)".
 So they use the picture from the book for the leaflet and the sign.
However, I like "Country of Button", too, maybe more than 
 "Watashi nowanpisu (My Dress)".

招鶴洞 (ショウカクドウ)
源頼朝 (1147 - 1199) が鶴を放ったという故事から名付けられました。
(鶴岡八幡宮の鶴もそのマークも同じ話からと言われています）

いつも暗くて写真がよく撮れませんでしたが、
今日は午前中でお天気も良かったので結構しっかり撮れました。

Shoukakudo (Invited Crane Den)
The name was inspired by the story of Minamoto-no-Yoritomo (1147 - 1199) 
setting many cranes free.

Usually I cannot photograph here well, because of being so dark.
However, today, it was before noon as well as being a lovely day, so this is clear.

こんな巣箱があるのも知りませんでした。
明るいっていいな〜！

I did not notice here has a nest box like this.
The early sunlight is goo~d!

うさぎさんは、ベランダの脇と正面上部の窓にいます。

The rabbits are beside the veranda and the middle top window.

このドングリはきれいですね〜。

They say please take acorns, free.
These acorns are clean and tidy.

薔薇園　/ Rose garden

薔薇の時期ではないので殆ど薔薇はありませんでした。
It was not rose season, so there are not so many roses.

このお花はなんでしょう？
What is this flower?

彼岸花 (ヒガンバナ) または 曼珠沙華 (マンジュシャゲ)
この花は日本ではお墓に咲く花というイメージで
あまり好かれないけれど、形はおもしろいと思います。
私は結構好き。でもやっぱりお墓に咲いているとちょっと怖い...
雰囲気があるように感じる曼珠沙華という言い方の方が私は好き！

白は珍しいですよね？

Lycoris Radiata or Red Spider Lily or Red Magic Lily 
Apparently in japan, people do not tend to like this flower,
because the flower image is blossom in a graveyard,
although the from is interesting.
I quite like this.
However, if I see the flower in a graveyard,
 I would feel a little scared...

White is unusual, isn't it?
