8月半ばの一週間、母と姉Yを自宅に迎える予定でした。
母の送迎は、甥が車でしてくれるはずでした。
ですが、直前になって、甥がコロナの濃厚接触者になり、この計画はキャンセルになりました。
私は、3人の一週間分の食材を購入済みでした。
3人分、一日3食、一週間分です。
大食漢の私でも消費するには無理がありました。
そこで、Yだけでも滞在してもらおうと思い、彼女に頼みました。
一週間滞在はむりでしたが、2泊してもらえました。
9月初めがYの誕生日ですので、少し早いですが、彼女の誕生会を
滞在中に開くことにしました。

New Plan
I was planning to welcome my mother and my sister Y to my house for a week in the middle of August.
My nephew was supposed to drive our mother to and from her house.
However, at the last minute, my nephew became a close contact of Corona, and this plan was cancelled.
I had already purchased food for three people for a week.
3 people, 3 meals a day, 1 week!
Even I, a big eater, would find it difficult to consume everything.
So I asked Y for just her to stay.
She couldn't stay for a week, but she stayed two nights.
Y's birthday is in early September, so I decided to hold her birthday party during her stay, although it is a little early.

2) 2日目 / The 2nd Day

| 2日目は、夕飯時にお祝いをしました。 ランチョンマットは、初日と同じものですが、 リバーシンブルなので、2日目は裏側を表にして使いました。 主菜はゴーヤチャンプルです。 On the second day, we celebrated at dinner. The placemats are the same as we used on the first day, they are reversible, so I used them with the other side facing up on the second day. The main dish is gōyā (bitter melon) Chanpurū.  仙台の友人Hさんからいただいた仙台の赤ワインを Yと一緒に飲みました。 とても美味しかったです。 Hさん、ありがとうございました。 Y and I drank Sendai red wine, a gift from Sendai friend H San. It was very delicious. Thank you H San. |
