Shichirigahama Residential Area

運動不足解消、精神浄化が目的で、七里ヶ浜住宅街の西友へ、夫Rと買い物に行きました。

このセクションは西友から鎌倉山への帰り道で撮影した写真を載せてます。

写真はi-phone のカメラを使用しています。

大きなほおずき
西友で、ほおずきが売られていました。
お盆が近いから？: ★
普通のほおずきを見るのが久しぶり...。
日本では、食べられるほおずきの方が珍しいのですが、
私は食用のほおずきの方を通常のほおずきよりは
私は見ていました。

Big Hozuki : Japanese-lantern

Hozuki was sold at Seiyu supermarket.

Because Obon is soon?

According to Wiki about Obon,

"Obon (お盆) or just Bon (盆) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to

honor the spirits of one's ancestors."

It's been a while since I saw a normal Hozuki ...

In Japan, edible Hozuki is rare, but I have seen edible Hozuki

more than normal ones.

Shichirigahama Residential Area

I went shopping to Seiyu supermarket in the Shichirigahama residential area for the purpose of relieving lack of exercise and purifying my mind with my husband R.

This section shows photographs taken on the way back home from the supermarket to Kamakurayama.

The photographs are taken with my i-phone camera.

2) あふれる花々 / Overflowing Flowers

七里ヶ浜住宅街の多くの人々がそれぞれの庭を大切に維持しているのを感じます。

その中で、花々が泉のように溢れ出るように感じられる庭があります。

そこの住人の方が、植物を育てることが大好きであることが見て取れます。

庭を作るというよりも植物を育てる方にご興味があるのです。

壁の外にズラ〜っと並べられた鉢やプランターに複数の花々が植えられています。

Overflowing Flowers

I feel that many people in the Shichirigahama residential area carefully maintain their gardens.

Among them, there is a garden where flowers seem to overflow like a fountain.

It can be seen that the owner loves to grow plants.

The owner is more interested in growing plants than in making a garden.

Multiple flowers are planted in pots and planters lined up outside the wall.

庭は高いフェンスで囲まれています。

ここに載せた写真では、オーナーさんの情熱が伝わらないのですが、プライベートな敷地なので、庭の中を多く撮影するのは憚られました。

The garden is surrounded by a high fence.

The photographs shown here do not convey the passion of the owner, but since it is a private site, I hesitated to take a lot of photographs in the garden.

3) プロの世界 / Professional World

アマチュアとは明らかに違う庭があります。

TEPEE HEART という会社の庭です。

Professional World

Here is a garden that is clearly different from amateurs.

It is the garden of a company called TEPEE HEART.

トータルのイメージはいつも同じですが、通りかかる度に、少しづつ何かが変わっているように思います。

The total image is always the same, but I think something changes little by little each time I pass by.

4) 灯りと水 / Light and Water

A. ぼんぼりの木 / Lantern Tree

ぼんぼりの木
あまりに大きな実で驚きました。
ナツミカンに思えますがみをつける時期が違います。
何の実かはわかりません。
ぼんぼりをつけた木のように思えます。

Lantern Tree

We were surprised at how big the fruit was.

It seems to be Natsumikan : Citrus Natsudaidai : Amanatsu,

but the fruiting time is different.

I don't know what the fruit is.

It looks like a tree with Lanterns.

B. 朝顔の滝 / Morning Glory Waterfall

朝顔の滝の前には葡萄らしき植物が
育ちつつあります。

in front of the morning glory waterfall.

朝顔だと思うのですけれど....?
追記 : '琉球朝顔・ノアサガオ' : ★と判明！
この植物は、英国の、王立園芸協会のガーデン・メリット賞を
受賞しています。
そんな植物がここに？

I think it's Morning Glory ...?
Postscript : It turns out to be 'Ipomoea Indica'.

According to Wiki about 'Ipomoea Indica,
Ipomoea indica is a species of flowering plant
in the family Convolvulaceae, known by
several common names, including blue morning glory, oceanblue morning glory,
koali awa, and blue dawn flower.
It bears heart-shaped or 3-lobed leaves and
purple or blue funnel-shaped flowers 6–8 cm (2–3 in)
in diameter, from spring to autumn.
The flowers produced by the plant are hermaphroditic.
This plant has gained
the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

七里ヶ浜の皆さん、いつも素敵な庭を見せていただき、ありがとうございます。

5) 鎌倉山 / Kamakurayama

秘密の階段
七里ヶ浜住宅街から鎌倉山へ続く階段です。
緑に覆われています。
夏だ〜！

Secret Steps

They are steps leading from Shichirigahama Residential Area

to Kamakurayama.

There is covered with green.

It's summer!

冬との景色の差を感じます。

I feel the difference in scenery from winter.

ガビチョウ(画眉鳥) や鶯の声を聞きながら登りました。

I climbed while listening to songs of the Chinese Hwamei

and Japanese Bush Warbler.

2) 鎌倉山 / Kamakurayama

鎌倉山から相模湾を見る

道路脇のカンナ
自宅近くの道路脇に黄色いカンナが
数カ所で咲いています。
私にとってはカンナは赤い花でした。
黄色は珍しかったので、撮影したいと思っていましたが、
今日までできませんでした。
ようやくできた〜！

Roadside Canna

Yellow Canna is blooming in several places

on the side of the road near my house.

For me, Canna was a red flower.

Its yellow is rare, so I wanted to photograph it,

but I couldn't do it until today.

It's finally done!

午前中に帰宅することができました。
2時間弱の散歩でした。
いい汗かきました〜！

Chestnuts in Our Garden
We were able to get home before noon.
It was a walk of less than 2 hours.
I broke a good sweat.

1) 鎌倉山 / Kamakurayama

最近、外出と言えば、西友へお買い物です。

私にとっては、運動不足解消、精神浄化が目的で買い物は二の次、

三の次です。

買い物だけなら、外出好きの夫Rにお任せだからです。

我が家から七里ガ浜住宅街の西友へは、主に3通りの行き方があります。

季節によって風景、植物が変わるので、私にとっては良い気分転換になります。

今日のルートは、行きは鎌倉山の一般道路に沿って歩き、秘密の坂を登って帰ってきました。

このセクションは、'行き'の道で撮影した写真を載せます。

今日は、i-phone のカメラを使用しました。

Kamakurayama

Recently, going out is shopping at Seiyu supermarket.

For me, shopping is secondary and tertiary to the purpose of relieving lack of exercise and purifying my mind.

If it's just shopping, it's up to my husband R, who loves going out.

There are three main ways to get from our home to the Supermarket in the Shichirigahama residential area.

The scenery and plants change depending on the season, so it's a good change for me.

Today's route was to walk along the general road on Kamakurayama, and come back with a climb up the secret slope.

This section shows photographs taken on the outward road.

Today, I used my i-phone camera.

光さす竹林

今年、竹林に手が入れられ、光が入るようになりました。

と、同時に公道からの眺めもよくなりました。

Light Into Bamboo Forest

This year, the bamboo forest has been maintained

and the light can get in.

At the same time, the view from the public road has improved.

竹の根元にモントブレチアのオレンジが綺麗にです。

The orange of Montbretia (Crocosmia) is beautiful

at the base of the bamboo.

大きな木

竹林には大きな木があります。

一本の木の存在が竹林に変化をもたらし、そこが庭に感じます。

Big Tree

There is a big tree in the bamboo forest.

The existence of a single tree changes the bamboo forest,

and I feel that it is a garden.

ニホントカゲ
幼い頃から、トカゲといえばこのトカゲのことでした。
'ニホントカゲ'と呼ばれることを知りました。
あがやかな色を持っているのはメスで
褐色のみのものがオスだそうです。
鳥と反対だな〜と思いつつWikiの説明を読みました。
この子はメスなのですね〜。

Japanese Lizard : Plestiodon Japonicus

Since I was a child, this is what I call a lizard.

I found out that it is called 'Japanese Lizard (Plestiodon Japonicus)'.

It is said that females have a bright colour

and males are only brown.

I read the explanation on Japanese Wiki,

thinking that it is the opposite of a bird.

This is a female, isn't she?

ムクゲ
ムクゲ (木槿)と芙蓉 (フヨウ)はよく似ています。
私は花では見分けがつきません。
葉を見てようやく判断できます。
これはムクゲです。
ちなみに英語では両方とも、ハイビスカス(Hibiscus)
またはマロー( Mallow)と呼びます。

are very similar.

I can't tell by the flowers.

I can finally judge by looking at the leaves.

This is Mukuge.

鎌倉広町緑地入り口

冬や春先に、数回、鎌倉広町緑地を歩きました。

梅雨の季節には行きませんでした。

梅雨明けした今は、Rが蚊を恐れてまだ足を踏み入れていません。

英国には蚊がほとんどいないので、彼は蚊に慣れていないのです。

In winter and early spring, we walked around

Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi a few times.

We didn't go during the rainy season.

Now that the rainy season is over,

R hasn't set foot there yet for fear of mosquitoes.

He is not accustomed to mosquitoes

because there are few mosquitoes in Britain.

木々の中を歩くのは気持ちが良いと思います。

でも蚊が.....。

※現在、枯死木の倒木の危険があるので、

一区間が通行止めになっています。

I think it feels good to walk in the trees.

But mosquitoes .....

* Currently, one section is closed due to

the danger of dead trees falling.

鎌倉広町緑地前に七里ヶ浜住宅街への階段 (合計すると100段を超える）があります。

ここでいつも私は、1つの世界からもう1つの世界へ移るファンタジーを感じます。

階段上からは相模湾が望めます。

There are steps (more than 100 steps in total) down to the Shichirigahama residential area in front of Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi Entrance.

Here I always feel the fantasy of moving from one world to another.

You can see Sagami Bay from the top of the steps.

2) 七里ガ浜住宅街

七里ガ浜住宅街の人々は、お庭を綺麗にしていらっしゃいます。

歩きつつ、あちらへこちらへと目移りします。

もしかすると、私は挙動不審者に見えているかもしれません(笑)。

Shichirigahama Residential area

People in the Shchirigahma residential area look afterl their gardens well.

As I walk, my eye moves from one place to another.

Maybe I look like a suspicious person (Laugh).

角の演出
Rは、この角がいつも綺麗だと言っています。
彼の知る限り、七里ガ浜住宅街の角でここが最も綺麗だそうです。
確かに自然な綺麗さが保たれています。
これ見よがしな綺麗さでなく... 。

Corner Show

R says that this corner is always beautiful.

As far as he knows, this is the most beautiful corner

in Shchirigahma residential area.

Certainly the natural beauty is kept.

This isn't an ostentatious beauty.

南国の雰囲気
鉢植えの赤いゼラニウムをここに配置しているところに
気遣いが感じられます。

Tropical Atmosphere
I can feel the consideration
about placing the potted red geranium here.

窓辺のゼラニウム
フランスでは蚊除けに窓辺にゼラニウムを配置すると聞きました。
窓に鉢用のミニベランダ(?)があることに気がつきました。

Geranium on Windowsill

I heard that in France, geraniums are placed

on the windowsill to prevent mosquitoes.

I noticed that there are windowboxes on the mini balconies.

診療所の花
Rの主治医の庭は小さいけれど手入れが良くされています。
ちなみに先生の自宅は別の家です。

Clinic Flowers
R's doctors garden is small but well maintained.
By the way, their home is another house.
