例年と同じで、Rの希望でクリスマスツリーも一緒です。

As usual, R hops Christmas tree is still here.

牛雑煮
1日と3日はいつものように、お雑煮は牛雑煮。

Gyu-Zōni 
As usual, "Zōni" is used with beef (Gyu in Japanese) on the first day and 3rd day.
Zōni s a Japanese stew containing baked mochi.

2日目

今年、初めてクリーム味の雑煮をチキンを使用して作ってみました。
好評でした。

The 2nd Day
This was the first time I made cream taste Zōni using chicken.

I got favourable comments.

2017年12月19日 東京 - 友人宅訪問 / Visit Friends in Tokyo, 19th of December, 2017

2017年6月に友人、堀内くんの東京の事務所へ行き、景色が素晴らしかったので、Rにも見せてあげたいと思いました。

その日のうちに、次回の訪問日を決めたのですが、私達の都合が悪くなり、延期。

ようやく12月になって、Rと一緒に堀内くん夫妻を訪ねることができました。

I visited my friend, Horiuchi kun's office in Tokyo, June 2017, the scenery from the office was wonderful, so I wanted to show it to R.

On that day, we decided on our next visit day, but it became inconvenient and we postponed.

Finally in December, I was able to visit Horiuchi Couple with R.

旅行の最終日の晩に友人Mと共に、"神戸ルミナリエ" を見る予定をたてました。

神戸ルミナリエ 、公式サイト : ★

"神戸ルミナリエ"の前に、華々しい(?)元町商店街や中華街よりも南側界隈をM、Rと私の3人で散策しました。

私が神戸に住んていた時は、あまり行ったことがない地域です。

Mに連れられて、雑貨屋さんやアパレル・ショップ(服飾店)、デリカテッセン、
カフェやレストランがたくさんある通りを3人でふらふらと歩きました。

"AIDA with CAFE" に入りました。

このカフェのビルには雑貨屋さんも入っています。

Walking on Kaigan Street ; Seafront Street 

I planned to see "Kobe Luminarie" with my friend M in the last evening of the trip.

Before "Kobe Luminarie", M, R and me had a walk in the quieter southern area rather than the bright Motomachi shopping district and Kobe Chinatown.

When I lived in Kobe, I had not been in that area very much.

M took us and we walked around streets with many things shops, apparel shops (clothing shops), a delicatessen, cafes and restaurants.

We went to "AIDA with CAFE".

There is a things shop in the building of this cafe.

私は珍しく、暖かな甘い飲み物を注文しました。
疲れていたのでしょうか？
かわいいグラス(?)です。
Mが右の飲み物だっだでしょうか？

Unusually I ordered warm sweet drink.

Was I exhausted?

They are cute glasses (?).

Did M have the drink on the left?

このカフェでは、シフォンケーキが人気らしく、たくさん作られていました。
広島店もあることを後で知りました。

In this cafe, chiffon cake seemed to be popular, and they made a lot.
Later I knew that they have a cafe in Hiroshima, too.

2) 夕飯 / Dinner

"神戸ルミナリエ"を見た後に、Mが探してくれていたカフェ、"TRITON CAFE" に行きました。

"神戸ルミナリエ"については下記。

"TRIRON CAFE" ときいて、心ときめくのは、私だけでしょうか？

『海のトリトン』を知っている人はどれくらいいるでしょう？

『海のトリトン』は原作は、手塚治虫 (1928 - 1989) 氏の漫画で、私はアニメしか見たことがありません。(手塚氏はアニメの原作であることを否定しています)

私は、アニメ(★)も歌(★)も好きです。

私とRは新神戸駅から新幹線に乗るので、Mは北側のお店を選んでくれました。

Am I the only person excited by sound of the name "TRITON CAFE"?

How many people know "Triton of the Sea"?

The original of "Triton of the Sea" is Osamu Tezuka (1928 - 1989)'s manga, I have only  seen an animation. (Tezuka denied that it is the original of animation)

I like the animation (★) and its song (★), too.

3人で飲みました。
We three people had this.

お店は空いてましたが、とても人気も知名度もあるカフェのようです。
ランチは混んでいそうです。

Although the cafe was empty, it seems to be a very popular and well-known cafe.
Lunch times seem to be crowded.

いろいろ食べたのですが、写真撮影に失敗してお料理の写真がこれだけです。
楽しくおい惜しい時間でした。

We ate others too, but my food photography failed, this is the only photo of a dish.
Our meals were pleasant and we had an enjoyable time.

地下鉄を利用しても間に合ったかと思いますが、地下鉄への入り口が不安だったので、タクシーで、新神戸駅へタクシーで向かいました。

Mは、年上の私にタクシー代を無理やり持たせました..もうっ！

いつも本当にありがとう、M!

関西旅行、楽しかったです。

次回はいつ、行けるでしょう？

Although I think we could have used the underground to Shin-Kobe Station, the entrance to the underground was difficult to find for me, so we took a taxi to Shin-Kobe Station.

M forced me to receive a taxi fee even though I am older than her....

例年よりも規模を拡大

2017 was 150th Anniversary of Port of Kobe
The scale of Luminarie was bigger than usual.

After having parted with friends from Moomin seminar, I met a friend M.

When I came to Kobe in November, I met her and we had her get-together for a whole day.

We were lucky to be staying in Kobe while "Kobe Luminarie" was there by chance.

Thanks to Kaori!

And I am thankful to M who taught me about the "Kobe Luminarie".

M also guided for us, for our tea time before "Kobe Luminarie" and our dinner after "Kobe Luminarie" .

I will write about them in next section.

The theme in 2017 was "Guardando futuro" : "Looking Forward"

2) 神戸ルミナリエ / Kobe Luminarie
"神戸ルミナリエ"は、公式サイト(★)によると

"『神戸ルミナリエ』は、阪神・淡路大震災犠牲者の鎮魂の意を込めるとともに、都市の復興・再生への夢と希望を託し、大震災の起こった1995年の12月に初めて開催しました。

以来、神戸ルミナリエは震災の記憶を語り継ぎ、都市と市民の「希望」を象徴する行事として、毎年開催しています。"
と説明されています。

神戸の友人は、

「最初の年は、夜に電気があまりなく暗かったから、本当に感動した。

母は涙を流して喜んでいた」

と言っていました。
毎年のルミナリエの様子は、ここで見ることができます→★

Wikipediaでは、下記のように説明されています。

"神戸ルミナリエは、神戸市の旧居留地において、1995年から毎年12月に行われている祭典、または電飾されている場所を指す。
通りや広場を独特の幾何学模様で構成されたイルミネーション (電飾) で飾り、昼間とは異なる風景を現出させてその景観を楽しむ。 
基本的にはイタリア人のヴァレリオ・フェスティ（Valerio Festi / 1953 -）と、神戸市在住の今岡寛和 (1961 -) の共同作品であるが、2011年の第17回開催および2015年の第21回開催は、東京在住のイタリア人であるダニエル・モンテベルデがプロデューサーを務めている。"


Kobe Luminarie
"Kobe Luminarie", according to the official website (★/ Translated by me)
" Kobe Luminarie was held for the first time in December 1995 just after the Great Earthquake occurred, to show commitment to the dreams and hopes for the revival and revitalization of the city, as well as consoling the spirits of the dead of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
Since then, Kobe Luminarie has handed down memories of the earthquake disaster and is held annually as a symbol of "hope" of Kobe and citizens. "


My friend in Kobe said
"The first year was truly moving because there was not so much electricity in the evening and it was dark.
My mother was pleased and shed tears. "

"Kobe Luminarie is a light festival held in Kobe, Japan, every December since 1995 to commemorate the Great Hanshin earthquake of that year.

 The lights were donated by the Italian Government and the installation itself is produced by Valerio Festi and Hirokazu Imaoka.Over 200,000 individually hand painted lights are lit each year with electricity generated from biomass in order to stay environmentally friendly.

Lights are kept up for about two weeks and turned on for a few hours each evening. Major streets in the vicinity are closed to auto traffic during these hours to allow pedestrians to fill the streets and enjoy the lights. It is viewed by about three to five million people each year."

"ガレリア(回廊)" / "Galleria" : "Gallery"

ルミナリエが始まる前は、 Rは、行列に入って抜けたくても抜けられなくなり、しごく不機嫌でした。

人出が多かったため、点灯が18:00の予定から、17:45に早められました。

が光が灯ると、Rはとても興奮し喜んだので、Mと私はほっとしました。

日頃見ることができない美しさに包まれ、しばし、夢の世界にいました。

ただ、神戸の友人の何人かは、今や、あまり歓迎していない様子でした。

それは、ルミナリエ目的の観光客のマナーが悪く、周辺の環境を犯すためのようでした。

もともとは市民のためのイベントが観光客のためになり、地元民の迷惑になっていると考える人が少なからずいるということです。

この日もたくさんの人で賑わっていましたが、どれくらいが地元の人なのか、見当もつきませんでした。

私としては、このようなイベントが開催できるようになった、神戸の復興を喜びたいです。

2017年のルミナリエに使用する電球数は約４０万個

The number of light bulbs used was about 400,000 in 2017.

Before Luminarie started, even though R wanted to leave the queue, he was unable to escape after entering the queue and he was very sullen.

Because there were a lot of people, the lighting was changed to be lit earlier at 17: 45 from the schedule of 18:00.

When the light was lit, R was very excited and delighted, so M and I were relieved.

I was surrounded by the beauty that I can not see on a daily basis, and I was in a dream world for a while.

However, some of my friends in Kobe seemed not to welcome Luminarie nowadays.

It seemed that some Luminarie tourists have bad manners and damage the surrounding environment.

A few people think originally the event was for Kobe citizens, but now it is for tourists and that they annoy local people.

It was crowded with lots of people this day, but I did not have any idea of how many there were  locals.

For me, I want to rejoice in the revival of Kobe, and appreciate that such an event can be held.
