1) 2017年1月のプレ・オープン

私とRは、1月にあった、プレ・オープンにこのギャラリーを訪ねています。
もとしたさんの文章が本から抜粋され、壁に展示。
その文章と展示方法から都会のセンスを感じましたし、アート・ジュエリー作品にはデリケートさが感じられました。
ギャラリーは、また立ち寄ってみたいと思わせる、良い空虚感、もしくは、ここから何かが始まろうとしている初々しい感じがしました。
その感覚は植物の新芽を発見した喜びに似ています。
Pre-Open in January, 2017
I and R visited "Labo atrium" when they had a pre-open in January, 2017.
My friend, Hakko Chan was a graphic designer and then she went to Antwerp in Belgium for study of art jewellery.
Moreover, she took her young son while she studied abroad.
Early in 2017 I had a strong impression that there are a lot of powerful people in the world.
In the pre-open, there was a collaboration between the author, a writer for children or childrens'books, Izumi Motoshita (1961 -) of her book : "Lemon pie beyond Meringue" and art jewellery works.
The space used to be a dentists clinic and after its interior was refurbished,
it became the gallery, "Labo atrium" which kept the air of cleanliness.

もしかしたら、それまで訪れた美術館やギャラリー、展覧会でも、アート・ジュエリーもしくは現代アート・ジュエリーはたくさんあったのかもしれません。
ですが、私は、それらは、アートの造形物、またはアート作品として見てしまい、ことさら、ジュエリーと意識していなかったように思います。
"mima"で、初めて、"現代アート・ジュエリー" を意識したのです。

私には、アート・ジェエリーと現代アート・ジュエリーの違いがわかりません。
おそらくそれは私がジェエリーの歴史を知らないからです。
アート・ジェエリーは、全部現代アート・ジュエリーに思えてしまうという...(笑)。
しかも、彼女は幼い子を連れての留学でした。
世の中は、パワフルな人達で溢れている！という印象をもった2017年上旬。
プレ・オープンのときは、絵本、童話作家の、もとした いづみ (1960 - ) さんの本、『レモンパイはメレンゲの彼方へ』とアート・ジュエリーのコラボレーション : ★ / ★でした。
もとは歯医者さんがあった場所で、内装を変えてのギャラリーで、清潔感が残っています。
清潔感は白い壁からも受ける印象なのですが、そこには温もりもあり、主催者の人柄も反映しているように思いました。

また、ギャラリー周辺は、新旧入り混じったおもしろい環境で、後で気がついたのですが、ここは東京都庁舎 (都庁ビル) に近いのでした。
すぐ近くでも新しい高層ビル建築が始まっていました。
見上げる空には、高いビルが増えて行くのかもしれません。

I and R visited "Labo atrium" when they had a pre-open in January, 2017.

Early in 2017 I had a strong impression that there are a lot of powerful people in the world.
In the pre-open, there was a collaboration between the author, a writer for children or childrens'books, Izumi Motoshita (1961 -) of her book : "Lemon pie beyond Meringue" and art jewellery works.
The space used to be a dentists clinic and after its interior was refurbished,
it became the gallery, "Labo atrium" which kept the air of cleanliness.
The cleanliness comes from the white walls though there is also warmth, I think the warmth is created by owners's personality.
They selected passages from Motoshita's book and displayed on the wall.
I felt the urban sense from the passages and the display, and the art jewellery works were delicate.
In my view, the gallery has a good empty feeling which if they have exhibition or event, I would come again, or has a fresh innocence which made me feel, something could start from here.
The feelings were similar to the happiness when I find a plant's new sprout.
The area around the gallery is interesting because there is a variety of new and old and later I realized there is close to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building,
And also it is very close to a new high-rise building that was still being built.
The sky might hold more and more buildings.
The area will change rapidly, won't it?

私は、ジュエリーの世界を殆ど知りません。
(英国英語のスペリング : 'Jewellery' でアメリカ英語のスペリング: 'jewel')
2015 年に英国のミドルズブラにある、現代美術館の "mima": "Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art"を訪ねました。
"mima"には、現代アート・ジュエリーがたくさん、素敵に展示されていたので、現代アート・ジュエリーはおもしろいな〜と印象に残りました。

フェリカ・ファン・デル・リースト / FeliekeVan Der Leest (1968 -)の作品、
彼女は、2007年に、恵比寿の 'Gallery Deux Poissons'：★で展覧会をしていました。
2017年の自分の個展会場としてまず下見に行ったのが、'Gallery Deux Poissons' で、私の作品でも大丈夫そうでしたので、聞いてみたところ、
'Gallery Deux Poissons' は、コンテンポラリー・ジュエリー/ 現代ジュエリー専門だというので、だめでした。
(以前は陶芸などしたことがあったそうですが、トラブルがあって他のものはしないことにしたそうです）
でもおかげで、"Galerie412" (表参道ヒルズ内、同潤館) との出会いがあったので、それはそれでよかったのです。

Contemporary Art Jewellery
I know almost nothing about the jewellery world.
(American English spelling is 'Jewelry')
In 2015, I visited "mima": "Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art" in Middlesbrough.
There were many contemporary art jewellery works and lovely displays for them in "mima", so the contemporary art jewellery was interesting in my mind.
Maybe, there were a lot of contemporary art jewellery works in the museums, galleries, and exhibitions I have been in.
However, I looked at them as moulded objects or art works, I did not especially recognize them as jewellery, so in "mima" I first recognized there being "contemporary art jewellery".

I do not know the difference between art jewellery and contemporary art jewellery.
Probably the reason is that I do not know jewellery's history.
For me, every art jewellery is contemporary art jewellery (laugh).
I most liked a work: 'Water flea brooch with swim ring necklace', 2000 (above) , by a Dutch Jewellery artist, Felieke Van Der Leest (1968 -).
She had her exhibition in 'Gallery Deux Poissons'：★, Ebisu, Tokyo, Japan, 2007.
When I looked for a place to hold my Exhibition, 2017, I first visited 'Gallery Deux Poissons'.
I thought my works could be displayed there and asked them, but they specialize in contemporary jewellery, so I could not make it.
(They had experience for other works, however, something there was a problem and then they decided they would not do for others anymore.)
However, thank you for them, so I could find 'Galerie412' in Doujunkan, Omotesando Hills, Tokyo.

自分の個展開催 (4月17~22日) がまじかでしたが、
この日は以前から東京へ行く用事があったので、
その後に、 Labo
atrium / ラボ
アトリエムに行くことができました。
偶然、この日はフランス人のアーティスト、
アリアンヌ ブルトン・ウルクの個展初日でもあり、
ラボ アトリエムのオープン日でもありました。
はっこちゃん、おめでとう！
ご成功をお祈りいたします！
The day was close to my Exhibition (17th ~22nd of April),
however, anyway on the day, I should go Tokyo on an errand,
so after the errand, I could visit "Labo atrium".
By chance, the day was the first day of a French artist,
Ariadne BRETON-HOURCQ Exhibition and it was
the open day as a gallery, Labo atrium.

| アーテイストと来場者が、真剣な会話をされているようで 近寄り難い雰囲気が立ち込め、 なるほど、研究室の緊張感がありました。 The artist and a visitor looked to be having a serious conversation, so there was not an easy accessibility atmosphere, indeed, it had the pressure of a laboratory.  美しい色を感じます。 I felt beautiful colour. |

| 穏やかさと深い世界が感じられる魅力的な作品です。 ブルトン・ウルクは中国の影響を強く受けているそうです。 のちになって知りましたが、ある日本のアート書道作品に よく似ています。 I feel a deep and calmed down world and attractive works. I heard BRETON-HOURCQ has strong influence of China. Later I found one of the Japanese brush painting styles are very similar to these. |

ブルトン・ウルクは普通に風景画をえがいたのかもしれませんが、
心象風景画に思えます。
一度、そう思うと、彼女の作品はみな、心象風景のように思えてきます。
BRETON-HOURCQ might paint normal landscapes,
although for me, they are imagined landscape pictures.
Once I thought like that, I have my idea that ever her works are
imagined landscape pictures.

キャビネット内は、ほぼ常設で、アート・ジュエリー作品の展示だと聞きました。
I heard that in the Kebineto,

そういえば、私は見ていませんが、
『薬指の標本』はフランスで映画化されました。
映画："L'Annulaire

舞台はフランスです。(監督のベルトランは女性です)
西洋と東洋の文化の交差がどちらにもあるのでしょう。
